Had a lovely three night stay at the Hampton Inn downtown , location perfect for our business meeting , got a great room rate because I am a Hilton Honors gold member for long time , smooth check in , front staff very friendly and helpful , complimentary continental breakfast during your stay , our two queen bed suit very spacious and comfortable working area for the paper work , comfy bedding , bathroom bright well stocked with towels , not a hair can find , good 3 star hotel stay for business traveler in down town , not fancy like 5 stars hotel , but very budget friendly place for few night this is the place , only downside is the fire station across the street , lot of siren noise but it did not bother us all !

Arrived here after a long journey from London. The hotel was very reasonably priced for 2 adults and a child in a twin bedded room. Our room (415) was very clean and in good order. The room had two good sized beds with crisp linens. There was a decent amount of storage and good lifting. The air conditioning was very effective. Our bathroom had a tub with a shower over and a sink with a large vanity area. There were ample towels. Housekeeping is not daily unless you ask, but they do a thorough job on the scheduled visits. On the 2nd floor is the breakfast area which ran through til 1030 and provided a very reasonable choice considering it was free. There was cereals, pastries, oatmeal, fruit, waffles and some hot items which changed each day. The lines were heavier the later in the morning you arrived but the staff were very efficient at replenishing the stock and turning round the tables for the next group. There is also a indoor pool and an outdoor terrace to kick back after a days sightseeing! The best asset of the hotel was the staff. The front counter desk were always super warm in their welcomes, very helpful, patient and polite. It made it a joy to walk in and be genuinely greeted each day. Shout out to Lydia and Innocence who went out their was to give local information, directions, tips and even provide forgotten toiletries without any drama. I would definitely go back. Thank you .…

Loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I stay in big cities all the time, including NYC, and this was the worst. Fire Department next door seemed to get calls like 1-2 times per hour and the sirens were so loud. Also seemed like every car driving down the street was racing with loud engines.

I am sorry that you encountered outside noise during your stay. The great thing about being in a dense urban downtown is the excitement of many people, things to do with a constant a hustle & bustle; however, with that comes noise. As with most hotels in downtown, street noise is something that will be encountered: Downtown Chicago is a dense, bustling city with lots of city noise including emergency vehicles that may be heard throughout all hours of the day. Most guests are not generally disturbed by the noise, but we realize that each person has their own sensitivity to it. For those light sleepers or to those not accustomed to city noise we do offer earplugs at the front desk. We hope to welcome you back the next time you are in Chicago.

I stayed at this hotel three nights during a busy weekend. I typically stay at Hampton Inns & this hotel had a great location for me. The reason for the low rating is due to the cost of the hotel for these three nights. And the annoying part was that this hotel required locking into their rate 14 days prior to arrival. The price greatly dropped 7 days prior to my arrival but the hotel would not let me get that rate. That seems quite unfair. Other than it being very costly, the hotel was good. The room and bed were comfortable and clean. The location is very good. The staff was fine. The breakfast was very good and the area was nice. The lady in charge, Pam, of the breakfast area the days I was there did a superb job. It was busy but she kept filling things up when they were getting close to empty. She also quickly cleaned up the tables when people left. And she was so friendly always smiling. It is great to interact with people like Pam when traveling. She would brighten everyone's day at the start of the day at breakfast. …

Nice room and responsive staff. Enjoyed the pool. Gets very busy during breakfast. Only bad experience was left something behind. You are required to go to a web site to complete a form. I wanted to pick up in person in a day or two. Now, days later, back home and still no response. Process does not work.

Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago-Downtown is an excellent property located perfectly around the main attractions in River North. Their rooms are immaculate and always clean. The Front Desk staff- Innocence, Octaviano, and Jody are always hospitable and attentive to the guest's needs! Definitely one of my favorite Hampton Inn properties and the beds are very comfortable and pristine.

My husband and I are Hilton Honors members and we always stay at Hampton Inn. This is the BEST Hampton Inn that we have ever stayed. It is a very clean hotel. I always look in the corners and in the areas not very visible, to assess the cleanliness of a hotel and trust me, all areas were spotless. The bed was comfortable. The front desk staff were very pleasant. A BIG thank you to the breakfast crew. They did a wonderful job. Pam and Alana were awesome. Pam walked around to the tables to find out if we needed anything. The breakfast was tasty with fresh fruits and choices of meats. The neighborhood is safe and near to food and public transportation. Parking is expensive in the entire downtown area so plan wisely. If you are sensitive to sounds, request a room in the back or high up because there is a fire station across the street.
