Detailed Reviews
Room was very modern and large, with all of the amenities. The hotel staff was very helpful and responsive when I requested towels, even when I asked about visitor parking and nearby restaurants. A very satisfying weekend stay in the South Loop!

We had a no thrills stay at this hotel. If you are wanting a good place to stay for a White Sox game, this is definitely it. The staff were all very friendly and warm. The rooms had minimal items such as no blow dryer, no body wash in the container (brought our own so no issue for us), and only one regular coffee. Thankfully there was a cozy cafe on the first floor and their coffee was great.

I can not believe I stumbled onto making a reservation at this hotel, which checks all my boxes and then some. I am 64 years old, so I am forever nostalgic for the way hotels used to be.
Let me see if I can hit all the points of happiness for me at this place. To start with, the lady at the front desk was incredibly polite and helpful. I am sorry I did not get her name. She also didn’t turn me away, as I was 20 minutes before official check in time.
My room was huge! Spacious and perfectly laid out, with a full length sliding mirror door on the closet, which contained an ironing board and iron!
There was a fridge for my wonderful leftovers from Chinatown, a coffeemaker, and a window I could open! The A/C unit kept the room exactly how I like it.
The tub was a jacuzzi (without jets) which afforded me a heavenly bath this morning. The drain plug did not leak and once pulled, the tub drained freely. The light in the bathroom was perfect. The place was clean, the bed was comfortable, the pillows were generous.
I did not hear a SOUND and slept better than I do at home.
I walked all over this neighborhood, after getting here from Midway by taking the Orange line to Halstead and walking from there.
I can’t wait to get a chance to stay here again. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

My weekend stay overall was very good. The hotel staff helped answer any questions I had about my stay, parking for my friends, and other services. Room service helped us greatly, and the shuttle bus service was great in transporting us to the McCormick Place for our weekend event.

Stayed here for the first time and did not like it! Paid more than $200 a night but it was not worth it!
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a rude and unfriendly short African American young lady. Beside her overall poor attitude, she never gave me information about their free WiFi and I had to call from the room to get that information. Entire hotel smell with weed and other drugs. Some areas are very stronger than the others. Entering the room, I realized that AC was not cooling as it is supposed to. Fridge was also barely cooling. Water flow in the bathroom's faucet was very low. Shower pressure was fine. Their free Internet is horrible. Extremely slow speed and it would disconnect often. This is a big hotel yet pretty much everyday I stayed their elevator would go out of service! They don't notify or put any notification in the lobby or anything like that. Our toilet flush started to leak and it turns out that it had heavily worn out flapper. Our shower soap ran out and it was never refilled. They also charge $100 deposit for any damages.
Hotel is conveniently located next to the major freeway and very close to the downtown. They have an ample free parking on site. Train and bus stops are within reasonable walking distances as well. They do have microwave but it is in the lobby.
This hotel is old and worn out. Drugs smell are everywhere. It needs to be renovated. Specially internet needs to be fixed. I will pay more and stay somewhere else.

Chicago South Loop Hotel is very noisy. The L train is so close it sounds like it’s coming through the room. There is also a lot of loud street traffic. The hotel is older and doesn’t have good insulation or windows to help avoid noise. There were also guests making a lot of noise in the hallway and room’s next door all through the night. It’s not an enjoyable experience to stay at this hotel if you need rest.
The hotel is fairly clean.

A very basic hotel.
Changed rooms 3 times. (Door wouldn't open, lights didn't work, TV broken...)
Could be much cleaner, but beds and bathroom are good (especially at sockets, behind cupboards, in corners, I think it could be much cleaner with little effort)
There is NOTHING to do in the area surrounding the hotel. No shop, no restaurant, nothing.
Price-quality it is ok, but I wouldn't book it again and wouldn't recommend it either.
Advantage: parking included.
Disadvantage: no breakfast. There is a bar in the hotel that sells breakfast, but they are not always open and the opening hours are not reliable
Staff is very friendly

Great location on 26th street with free parking on site, also near Green & Red CTA lines to access Sox games at Guaranteed Rate Field and Cubs games at Wrigley Field. Only a few blocks from a McDonald’s, Starbuck’s, and the McCormick Center. Would stay here again, friendly staff!

Hotel staff was very pleasant at check in. The hotel is less than a 5 minute drive to McCormick place. The rooms were large and clean. The free parking is unheard of in downtown Chicago. The staff was friendly and talkative. After I checked out I forgot my Ipad in the room. I went back 20 minutes later to find Maria in the room cleaning it. She helped my find the Ipad! I would definitely stay there again next time I attend an event at McCormick.

The staff were extremally slow, rude, and even blame the guest for checking into dirty rooms that they assign. I cannot tell you how many time I saw guests coming down because their key doesn't work. Almost all the elevators were out of order and the ones that did work, had inspections dated back in 2020. There were thick dust in all the vents, stained pillow cases, tiny bath towels and had a musty smell in the room. Yes, parking is free but it is very limited and narrow. Do yourself a favor and do not book this hotel. This is truly one of the worst hotel I had even stayed in.

Thank you for inquiring about your stay, if you would contact me directly by calling our hotel (312-225-7000) I would be more than happy to look into your reservation.

I'm sorry we missed this question, I hope you had a great time at the game!
We walked to the ballpark two nails gets in a row, felt safe. However we rode a cab back to hotel.
Walk was mostly along a well shaded sidewalk. It is probably a little over a mile. I think after dark, it would be a little less comfortable to walk back from the park, however if you are going to a Day game walking both ways would be fine.
We do not unfortunately, however CD1 cleaners is on Michigan & State (6 blocks away) & Villiage Wash, a wash and fold coin laundry is on 17th & Halsted (about 1mil. away). I hope this helps!

I would certainly call the front desk and ask if they can accommodate you with that request. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, so who knows. The worst they can do is say no.
