This hotel was fantastic the staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. Cleaning all the time. Food was gorgeous at all of the restaurants. We had an excellent holiday and will definitely be going back. Some of the reviews are so picky over silly things. My advice is to just go and make your own opinion of it.

As others have stated - only 3* hotel, BUT - the staff are fabulous. They really make this place. The whole area around infinity pool was shut (inc pool) but we had an email telling us this in advance. Made no difference to us as we sat out on the beach every day. Yoga, Pilates, and general games etc are not our bag, but no problem. Food - main buffet is everything you can ask for at each meal. Meat is a little overcooked and burgers in Berbera cafe were terrible. Speciality restaurants were very disappointing, particularly the Italian. The Boa Vista for local dishes was fair. The best was the Asian one, but even here, meats were overcooked. Drinks were good and if you take an insulated bottle the beach bar staff would happily fill it up with beer of Pina colada for you to take to you loungers on the beach! The gardens are very well cared for, and there are many very friendly cats who are well fed and looked after. Don't leave your door open if on ground floor as they will be in! All neutered etc and clipped ear to show it has been done. Our room - 1714 - was on ground floor right on the approach to the beach so all you could really hear was the crashing of the waves. The room was large and a bit dated, but everything worked and was comfortable enough. The bed/settee was lumpy:( Glad no-one had to sleep on it! Didn't do any of the expensive excursions - hired a car for the day and took ourselves around. Beach Santa Monica is fabulous and at present has no hotels. Persevere with the bumpy track between the painted white stones and get to the bar at the end for sunset. Fabulous.

I’m here currently on day 5. The one and two star reviews are unfounded We paid £500 each for a week and that folks is great value for what we got. After flights that works out about £40 per head per day I’m a fussy eater and only eat healthily at home I’ve every meal had plenty of choice Fresh fruit and salad in abundance try the whole kiwi fruits trust me they are a delight I’ve eaten fresh caught fish every day which is griddled My son who I travelled with (14 years old) has found food he likes at every meal Breakfast being his fave meal as so many choices of pancakes waffles etc and he couches for the Spanish tortilla The wine is awful but I found mixing the white wine with a dash of Sprite Zero and topping with soda water made it actually really refreshing and decent The cocktails aren’t what you’d get in a Caribbean 5 star but then I’m paying half of what I would so it weighs up. We stayed in a family room. Yes it’s dated but it has plenty of room and to be fair we get showered and sleep there so why would I want an amazing room just so I can show off posting photos …. Err no!! I’m not paying for the ritz but somewhere to lay my head and the rooms are cleaned with a shower gel dispenser full of gel which you can ask the maid to replenish oh and you get 2 fresh bottles of water in your fridge daily. The drains can be a little smelly just keep your toilet door shut (it is separate to the rest of the bathroom). The additional seating area and extra wardrobe gave us loads of space There is a hairdryer in the bathroom Try the saw fish and cuttlefish fish and fried fish at dinner (really tasty) Try the fresh fruit especially the kiwis at breakfast the omelettes and tortilla are also good Lunch salad and griddled chicken was my choice My son opted for burgers toasties or pasta They do a little mini Swiss roll cake topped with a pineapple chunk or orange segment try it OMG amazing The staff are amazing both at staff and animation staff If ur a fitness freak they do daily Step Zumba or circuits around 3pm and yoga too later in the day and the hun is good with a spa area. The beach is insanely good for the Atlantic and I am fussy as I love a Caribbean beach The waves are huge and my teen enjoyed wave jumping just be careful It’s a beautiful beach and I went for long walks daily listening to the waves crash The poolside snack bar is basic but good if you swerve lunch (think burgers hot dogs chips toasties cakes and fruit) Overall I am more than pleasantly surprised for what we paid it was a bargain If you get a deal here then go for it The hotel is isolated so 2 weeks could be too much a week is fab ten days would be perfect I’ve loved it …. Truly loved it post covid working for the NHS this provided a much needed break

Firstly ignore any negative reviews as I am so glad I did. From the moment you arrive here you are treated so well by all the staff. Everyone is so friendly & helpful. Room:- can only comment on Adult Only apartment - large balcony, large bed, large shower, minibar stocked up & optics readily available. Food & drink :- plenty of variety to choose from (even for picky eaters) Red & rose wine drinkable (not too keen on the white). Cocktails are pre-made but drinkable. Lager again drinkable. Tip if staying Adults Area book the Adults only restaurant at reception. High quality of food served there - must do it! Pools:- infinity pool closed but we were told this prior to going by Tui. Main pool area lovely always loads of spare sunbeds including the ones in the pool. Loved the swim Up bar. 4 poster beds in Adult pool area a must to try some with stunning views over the beach plus they are so comfy. Staff:- like I said everyone friendly saying Good Morning etc. Must say the animation team are fabulous keeping those who want it entertained day & night. Covid:- all staff wore face masks day & night even the gardeners. Encouraged guests to wear them going up to the bars & into the buffet. Plenty of hand sanitizer etc. Beach:- beautiful long long stretch of beach. Always a red flag up meaning no swimming but I did. Just be careful as current very strong & not for the faint hearted with the massive waves. Be careful getting out as I got pushed over a few times If you want a relaxing time away in the sun ☀️ give it a try
