One of the best B&B experiences I have ever had. Master bedroom was outstanding with a his and hers bathroom and a huge bubble tub and very comfortable bed. Situated in foothills overlooking the city with well maintained grounds and accomodations. Excellent breakfast with the same view overlooking the city. Highly recommend for singles, couples, and small family.

I’ve just had my honest and sincere comments removed from booking.com reviews. So here’s a quick summary of our experience - further out of town than I was lead to believe when booking, uncomfortable beds, the owners didn’t meet us on arrival, you’re left to pick up a one page lecture that tells you “it’s our house, our rules”, the decor is on the weird side of kitsch and questionable taste, the aircon in our room was an ancient window box that literally blows noisily in your face and the “shared” bathroom felt like a privacy violation, added to which a fellow guest wandered into our room in the early hours while my wife was naked. To top it all, we got a cynical “lovely to meet you and share life stories” from them, when we never spoke with or set eyes on them. When we passed these concerns on, we were ridiculed, using words like “wah” to imply they thought our concerns were childish.

Well off the beaten path with a beautiful view of Coeur d'Alene. Charming hosts. Spacious and wonderfully furnished home. Great breakfast. Quiet at night with comfortable rooms and beds. WiFi is slow and not available in all rooms. Only one shower shared amongst several rooms. I would stay here again.

Coeur de Lion is everything a B&B should be. A bit off the beaten path, but not too far. Quaint. A huge variety of books you can pick up and read. Relaxing common areas. And good coffee at the right times. My wife and I visited with our children, which was their first time at a B&B. The beds are very comfortable. The decor is eclectic and very enjoyable. Furthermore, breakfast was astoundingly good. My son doesn't like cheeze, and she managed to pull off a really good breakfast casserole both with and without it. But most of all, the hosts were very gracious. I imagine it must be hard to bring a crowd through the home every day and maintain an enthusiasm for the adventure of travel and meeting people. They made us feel completely welcome, even as bedraggled travelers on a long road trip.

Don’t let the short distance from town or shared restroom facilities deter you from this hidden gem. We drove up in the rain and it was a piece of cake. We stayed in the “Mirror Room” and were very comfortable. No problems whatsoever with utilizing the restroom. Never had a wait and we were able to schedule our shower times by selecting a time slot on the signup sheet on the bathroom door. This is a beautiful home that is full of gorgeous artwork and antiques. The woodwork throughout the home appears to be reclaimed, restored and antique, it is just beautiful. The views are stunningly gorgeous and there are many comfortable, quiet places to sit and enjoy those views. And the breakfast!! YUMMY deliciousness! Our breakfast was stuffed French toast with strawberries, bananas, slivered almonds and powdered sugar on top. It was drizzled with a Carmel sauce and some whipped cream. There was also sliced melon and FABULOUS scrambled eggs as well as coffee, teas and hot chocolate. Add to all of that, when we arrived we were invited to help ourselves to a complimentary glass of wine. Five star service from start to finish! Planning to be back in the area in July of 2022 and will 100% for sure be booking a room here for several days! Outstanding from start to finish!

This was our first visit to Coeur de Lion B&B. We didn't know what was in store for us but we decided to book. It was located a short drive from the city through beautiful rolling hills and trees. Upon arriving, we were pleasantly surprised with the property. The gardens were filled with a wide variety of color. Flowers everywhere and a well manicured lawn. The entrance was inviting and the adventure was in full swing. Notes on the door gave detailed instructions and upon entering we were amazed at what we saw. Gorgeous furniture and art everywhere you looked. Check in was easy and we were met with a smiling face. Every room was a delight. Art was everywhere. It turns out, the owners are incredibly talented. To try to describe just how much would take too long. Everywhere you turn you will see beauty. Now let's talk breakfast. Bring your appetite. Generous portions of gourmet quality treats are here. I was impressed with the variety and choices she creates. There is such emphases on details. So many things to see. It is like opening a treasure chest. We will certainly be returning. This is one place we will remember fondly.

I'm so incredibly disappointed. This is a place I've got to over 4 times with family. It's been a couple years since I've stayed there and the owner, Sandy, texted me last night. I thought it was spam and when I figured out it wasn't.....I was a little thrown off. She said she had been working on something and wanted to get my reaction. She said it was too much to text and wanted to know if I was available to chat on the phone. I told her that's fine and she called. She asked how Everett was doing. The only way she could have gotten Everett was from my ID that was provided while booking through booking.com. I told her I don't live in Everett anymore and she started asking about my kids. I told her my kids were fine. She stated that she takes notes on people who stay with them which is understandable. She then asked me if I've heard of Melaleuca. I told her yes, but I'm not involved with nor do I support multi level marketing companies. She went on to tell me that it's not. She said she doesn't sell anything. Just shares the information she's learned while purchasing and using their products. She brought up Covid and said these products are life changing. I told her that I'm a little rubbed the wrong way that she's contacting me for something other than booking a stay at her Bed and Breakfast. I did not provide my personal information to be contacted by someone trying to get me to join their MLM company. I told her there's a line I feel like has been crossed and it makes me feel uncomfortable. I love this place, but I will not be coming back. I'm concerned she's calling former guests to try and recruit them. It's unethical and I feel like my personal information could be at risk.

We rented the the master suite yesterday, got there at exactly 3:00 pm, it was 88 degrees in the room, no air on, it was 95 degrees outside at 3:00 pm when we checked in. We called her, which I don’t believe she appreciated, she said to just go sit in the basement after we turned on the portable air conditioning! we payed a good amount of money for the Master Suite and at 10:00pm it was still 80 degrees in the room and very stuffy. They also advertised as “Pet Friendly” and there was a place clear out back in the dark with very fine dirt, our feet were filthy after trying to get outside for our dog, also in her little note to us there is a fine or fee if there was any pet hair at all! Pets CANNOT get on any furniture in the room! REALLY! Just come on and say you are going to charge extra! Above and beyond what they charged for the pet, Not welcoming at all, never even saw her! NOT PET FRIENDLY!!!

Started out with a beautiful drive up a winding paved road, through a forest dotted with beautiful homes. However at the almost very top stands the Coeur De Lion Bnb. We parked close to the forest not the grass lol, went to an old front door with instructions on how to open it. Just to the right was a rolled up letter to Christina and I,with our room name and other information.. we went in the house and was quite amazed at the beauty and the love that this family put into it.. We stayed in the quilt room very beautiful and with AC. Woke up to a beautiful day sat on the deck drinking coffee and enjoying the views.. we choose the 8am breakfast the other was 9am. Sat with other guests and had a delicious homemade breakfast.. It was soon time for us to leave with a shake of a hand and a hug we were gone with great memories and a yearning to stay again.. thank you so very much. Your friends always Ervin and Christina Guerra..

We were on a trip from California to Montana and needed a place to stay in Idaho. We , quite by accident, found Coeur de Lion on Hotels tonight. Also by luck, they had the one room with a private bath available- the Master Suite. When we arrived we were awestruck! Tucked cozily in the hills overlooking Cour d' Alene Lake in the distance, was this artist treasure of a B&B. Our room was beyond amazing with two picture window views over the hills of Coeur d' Alene, a fireplace that showed from bedroom and bathroom, an oversized clawfoot tub with jets and wonderful antigue furniture. The home, built by the owner and wonderful paintings by the owner, was a treasure and inspiration. The back patio was extensive and inviting. We got pizza and ate out there in the evening. Breakfast was a culinary delight. Our experience riveled the Davenport in Spokane which we also adore. Do know- most of the rooms have a shared bath which some people are OK with and those rooms are pretty awesome also. We will for sure return - so wish it was closer to us here in Sacramento!
