It had been many years since I've visited Brasstown Valley for a meal and this time I was excited to stay overnight. The property is beautiful and in one of my favorite places on earth (Young Harris, Georgia). My friend and I stayed in the Rhododendron Cottage and the room was nice and pretty quiet. We loved being somewhat removed from the busy times at the lodge, enjoying our porch and the quiet stillness of the mountain setting. We didn't get service cleaning our bathroom and making up our beds, so that was strange, but just a minor inconvenience. Beware the toilet--it flushed like those in a plane! Really loud and very powerful! The room smelled like the fireplace, but was another minor inconvenience. We visited the gift shop and the new shop with local foods, etc., and that was neat. We had dessert one night at Brassies and enjoyed the view. I'd love to return to Brasstown one day.

Spent a couple of days at BVR&S in May with my wife for combined business trip/short get away. Stayed here in February as well. Both stays were fantastic. The resort is an older resort but has been updated nicely. Service was impeccable from the valets, to the desk clerks, to the restaurant staff. Everyone was exceptionally friendly. Young Harris is beautiful in the Spring and this was no exception. The resort grounds were immaculate. We had a balcony room which offered a fabulous view of the mountains in the distance (In February, we had a room with a fireplace which was equally nice). My only complaint are the barn doors to the bathrooms in the guestrooms which I simply don't prefer as a room feature. Nonetheless, that is a small detraction from an otherwise extraordinary l resort which I would definitely recommend if you are traveling in this area, especially if you are a nature lover.

Wow! What a fabulous birthday brunch! Not many places have opened up their buffets. I am so glad that Brasstown Valley resort has! My favorite breakfast item is eggs Benedict. Their eggs Benedict was delicious this morning! There’s so much food that there’s no way you can sample it all. They have cold salmon and hot salmon. They have chicken Parmesan which I didn’t even taste. They have roast beef and pork loin. I’ll attach some pictures! The only thing I will suggest to anyone reading this who is making a reservation is that you get there early so you can pick your seat. And even if you get there a half hour early you need to stand up and wait in line. Don’t go sit down and relax because if you do there will be a line when it’s your time to be seated. Other than that the food is spectacular. The resort is lovely! And the service is great! I am thankful that Will seated us at a fabulous table (#2 on the patio). You won’t be disappointed! Oh and the price is awesome at $26 per person!

Staff very friendly, gorgeous grounds and lobby and wonderful amenities. Be sure and enjoy a meal or drink on the balcony at sunset ( I also had my coffee there in the morning). My only complaint was the spa was closed when we visited and we wished we had known that on the website (might be COVID related so I still gave it 5 stars.)

We spent the weekend. Great location as a base to visit the many sites in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views of the mountains from our porch. Starting to look tired. The shower curtain liner and the drapes in our room were torn and hanging, coffee left in coffee maker, rotting wood on porch column. Even the landscaping looks unkept in areas and broken boards on a bridge along the trail. The food at Brassies was not very good and the service was slow on the night we ate. Food was also over priced. On the plus side, the beer was nice and cold. Not the hotels fault, but kids running up and down the hall and making a racket next door.
