From comfy beds, to Lavender soap, to fresh milk and delicious banana bread when we checked in, my family's experience at The Farmhouse Inn was idyllic and enchanting. The countryside is beautiful and the manager Leslie is lovely and helpful. The local sourced made from scratch breakfast made us a huge fan of anything Walter the chef would make and it was included! The Hillside cottage was picturesque, ample, and perfect for us, our dog and new puppy. The pups even raved about the doggy treats and meeting Mudpie the resident dog. Even the short time we spent with the roosters, chickens, peacocks, goat. horses, and donkey wasn't enough. The whole family even enjoyed the Holiday decorations and appreciated the entire experience. The only drawback was we didn't get to spend enough time exploring, hiking, or even visiting the chapel, so we are planning our next trip!

2nd visit here and certainly not the last! Great walks on the farm, great guest rooms, and unparalleled breakfasts. Mid-week visits have been so special, as the place is so quiet. The garden is so amazing.

We stayed at one of the cottages with our children and dog. We had such a relaxing and purposeful time. There are trails to walk on and discover, horses to pet and feed, and a wonderful breakfast to consume!

Our family of 6 just returned from the most relaxing stay at the Farm. Our adult children are all allergic to gluten and dairy so I was a little concerned about breakfast, but the chef, who went to culinary school in Atlanta cooked up delicious breakfasts every morning that they could eat and even brought snacks over to our farmhouse. Everything was fresh and from the farm, from the eggs to the honey to the pecans. Our accommodations were spotless, bed was so comfy I wanted to bring the mattress home with me! The animals were so fun. Nothing like watching chickens run for cover in a rainstorm! Leslie has done a great job bringing love and life into an old farmhouse. The most relaxing trip we have had in a very long time. The town of Madison was absolutely charming, the entire town is on the National Register of Historic Places. Lots of pre Civil War homes. Great restaurants and boutiques. So glad we stayed at The Farmhouse!

Everything about this place is fantastic. The room(Americana Room)had the BEST bed and fluffiest pillows-great new shower(walkin) just to say a few things.IT WAS CLEAN CLEAN -no bugs...Breakfast was more than you can imagine and when I only wanted eggs the chef was great. You will love taking a walk to the chickens -peacocks etcand feeding the horses and goats.-don't forget your carrots. The porch is relaxing and we met delightful people.I wish it was closer but we are going to go back if we can to see the country and Madison-the town. There is a dude ranch close for riding also.Great for families and couples. LOVE THE STAFF AND THE PLACE....

We celebrated my mother-in-law's 90th birthday at The Farmhouse Inn, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The 7 of us stayed in the farmhouse, which is charming, spacious and so comfortable (beds/linens are amazing). The breakfasts were outstanding -- farm fresh eggs and more. The property is gorgeous. There was plenty of room both inside and on the grounds for us to hang around together -- and then when any of us needed to do our own thing we could take a walk on one of the trails or in the garden or visit the chapel or the chickens, peacocks, horses, donkey etc. The super-charming town of Madison is only a 10-minute drive away. The icing on the cake is that Leslie and her husband are such kind and welcoming hosts. They went out of their way to make my mother-in-law feel special on this milestone birthday. They have created a true oasis of beauty and tranquility, and I can't wait to return. I cannot recommend The Farmhouse Inn highly enough!

This place is one of Lake Oconee's best kept secrets! Very nice clean, quiet, country-style rooms set on a beautiful 100 Acre Farm. If you like to relax on a porch rocking chair and look out over fields of green, then this place is for you. If you like to walk the nature trails and visit with chickens, ducks, and peacocks, then this place is for you. Room highlights: Comfy beds with fantastic sheets. Wonderful in-room Coffee service! Owners: Very friendly and helpful. They serve farm-fresh eggs (provided by "the ladies") with a great breakfast. Good job.

Great place to stay for 2 nights at the end of our road trip ,prior to going to airport . The Farmhouse is set in a beautiful location of 100 acres which you have access to on walking trails .You can go visit the livestock and regularly get visits from the ducks ,chickens and peacocks . We stayed in the Garden Room which was well appointed as was the bathroom .We loved the complimentary bowl of goodies and the drinks in the fridge . Leslie and Jim made us very welcome .Breakfasts were delicious and included home produced eggs from the farm . As we hadn’t book a restaurant on Mothers Day ( different date in the UK) Leslie kindly provided us with plates ,cutlery etc so we could get ourselves a picnic which we enjoyed in the courtyard watching the sunset . A really relaxing environment and the hosts were the best .Could not do enough for us .Would highly recommend.

This is the perfect place to “unplug”. I took my 9 year old daughter for spring break and we both had a wonderful time together. So much thought has gone into every detail from the luxurious Parachute brand sheets (which I have on my bed at home) to the fluffy white towels and the locally roasted coffee and tea selection in our room. Breakfast was different and delicious every morning. My daughter’s favorite was the “sloppy omelette” made with all fresh ingredients, fresh fruit and the apple dumplings. The highlight of our days were feeding the horses, chickens and goats. We especially enjoyed the hiking trails and the tire swing. We are already planning our next adventure to the Hundred Acre Farm and Farmhouse Inn. A huge thank you to Leslie and Jim for providing such a wonderful and memorable experience. We cannot wait for our next trip.
