Great location, with free parking. It is on the opposite side of the main tourist areas, but there’s a sidewalk if you’re willing to walk a mile, which I am. I was not thrilled with the staff. While they were mostly helpful, a couple of the workers were a bit abrasive in their communication at times. I’ve stayed in a lot of Marriott brand hotels, and this one just wasn’t up to par in the service dept.
As a family of four, we stayed here during the Balloon Race. It was clean and the staff were extremely friendly. David went out of his way to make sure that we knew all of the state and national parks to visit. He and other staff were exceptional.
My daughter and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. Staff is friendly, room was clean and updated. We were in room #327. The door did not shut on its own as it should so when we came back after an evening in town our door was ajar. We reported this to the front desk at checkout. I do hope this is fixed. We were given a room upgrade because of my husband’s Titanium Elite status. Bed was comfy and room was large enough for maybe three guests max. Location is good. If the weather is nice it’s an easy 10 minute walk to the heart of town. Breakfast was good. Fruit flies were in aboundance although the fruits I saw looked good to me. I would stay here again.
Only passing thru the area but found this hotel to be very new and modern. We had a nice room which met expectations. A well lit bathroom - wish more hotels would replicate. On the window, there was a printed shade where you can see outside but people on the outside can't see in. Very cool.
This hotel is on the south side of Helen; one can walk into Helen along the road on a side walk but it is at least 15 minutes. The hotel is nice, we had a room with a sitting area. The bathroom is roomy which is nice. The complimentary breakfast also serves hot food (eggs, omelets, cereal) and everything was good. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was not busy since this is the slow season for Helen. No room cleaning is provided when staying longer then ane day. Towels and additional toiletries are provided upon request. The room has a fridge and microwave.
Stayed a Monday night, first visit to Helen GA. Appears to be a relatively new property. Very clean, good location. Breakfast was typical. Good amenities. Would definitely stay there again. We typically stay in Marriott properties and this one is well worth it.
First time visit. Nicely located as soon as you enter Helen city proper. Walking distance to the shopping center, restaurants and convenience stores. The place was clean with good size rooms with a fridge and microwave. Kudos to Management and staff for outstanding customer service. Morning breakfast was great to start the day. 24 hour gym was great to use anytime and also have a heated pool. Definitely will visit again.
Wonderful staff, Marie is top notch! We were traveling between Helen and a few other places. The hotel sitting just outside the busy part of Helen was great for us. The heated indoor pool was also nice for an early morning swim.
Great and friendly service was the norm here. We stayed one night and the staff at the front desk was excellent. We had two rooms and they were clean and consistent. Nice location for exploring Helen. Nice representation of the brand and we are Marriott Platinum. Great stay!
This is hands down one of the best Marriott properties I have stayed in - anywhere! You will note that all the negative reviews are from the time the hotel was just opening. I can tell you that the hotel is humming away at a high level now under its new manager, Marie. Everything works. The room is spotless and the shower has tons of hot water. The breakfast is great and the dark roast coffee in the lobby is out of this world. This is a really great place to stay.
