We paid $233 per night, gentlemen checking in in front of me for same room charged $190. When asked hotel staff about this, she said there was nothing she could do. Asked to have our room cleaned one of the 4 nights, never cleaned. GREAT breakfast however.
As others have noted, this is a little bit older property, and there were a few cosmetic issues, e.g., a little peeling of wallpaper. But it was immaculately clean, the air-conditioning worked just fine, and the property was very quiet.
I previously reviewed this hotel in May 2015. Things are quite a bit better than that review. The front desk staff was friendly and I had no internet issues. The pool appears open. I did notice that the rooms seem a bit larger than typical which is nice, but not essential. Breakfast on this side of Covid was better than expected. All in all a nice improvement from my last visit.
Travel for hospital conference with my 91 year old mother- Walker and oxygen. Was given a very close room and awesome suggestions for dinner spot to host others. Did I mention that they made a fresh pot of coffee at 5 pm at night because Mom said she would love a cup! Super thoughtful staff!
My wife pointed several items in the room which needed attention: rusty tub in the bathroom, deteriorating wall surface near air conditioned, worn desk chair. Some patrons and their behavior (especially outside the hotel) made us uncomfortable. And, why only "light" roast coffee -- it was too weak to drink, I drove to the gas station and bought coffee.
This hotel is always clean. Hotel staff has always been friendly and helpful. A good breakfast selection including hot items. Quiet in the evening. It is a good value on top of all of this. Because of the consistency of what I’ve mentioned, I stay here every week on business travel.
The rooms were comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the stay except the day of check out we felt rushed. House keeping knocked once, used key and entered our room at 9:30 with her child in tow. We told her we were leaving that day but not until it was time to check out. She came back and did the same thing 45 minutes later making us feel rushed.
We stayed here for 3 days & nights & explored different towns. Christmas market in Helen, Blairsville, Blue Ridge - very convenient to drive to these towns. The staff was great - kind, friendly & very accommodating! Our rooms & all areas were very clean & comfortable. Breakfast bar was great (delicious waffles) and plenty of food. Highly recommend this Hampton Inn in Cornelia!
This was a last minute choice because everything else in north Georgia was booked. I’m glad we stayed here. Really nice day trips to Clarksville and Helen. The hotel was cean hotel and had a very nice staff. I’d definitely stay again.
My wife and I were dissatisfied with our room here, felt more like a motel than hotel. Bath tub was separating from the wall, light switches coming off the wall, holes in the wall, wallpaper peeling off the walls, and room had bad smell to it.
