This is an excellent place to stay. It is very appealing and a great location. The view from the upper floor of the mountains is fantastic. It is close to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I tried to book my room through the phone to get a discount from a service I have. 2 people and 2 hrs later my card was charged twice with no reservation and I was hung up on while they were trying to fix my credit card. I had to call the local line to get any help. Now we are here on our honeymoon and the beds are flat as a bored and hurt. They also squeak with any movement. I’m 165 lbs and it can’t hold my weight. If I could leave early and get refund I would. We should have paid the extra money to stay at the Marriott or rented a cabin or even staid at one of the cheaper places in Ellijay. We had awesome beds at these locations. I will say the staff seem friendly and the common area are fine.
Front desk employees were very nice, room was clean. I was traveling with my 13 lb small dog. The pet fee is $50.00 for up to 2 pets, which I feel was steep, but that’s my only negative thing i can say. My stay was nice and quiet. My room was on the back side and the sunset was gorgeous!
Long weekend trip with the kids! Nice hotel, clean and comfy room, friendly staff. Beds were very comfortable! Only complaint would be allowing animals on same floor as non animal guests. The barking was annoying and for those with allergies, maybe should consider a dedicated floor.
We spent our anniversary weekend at Blue Ridge and this hotel is great! I would only give it 4.5 stars but I don't want their score to go down by being nit picky. But the check in was smooth. The hotel is in a great location, close to everything. It is very clean and pretty! The staff is nice enough. The rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable. I could smell the cleanliness. The beds were very comfortable. The only complaint I had was we were on the second floor on the front door side and you can hear the sliding door at the entry of the hotel CONSTANTLY!! When we first went to sleep the first night I was very confused by the sound and couldn't figure out if it was the air conditioning unit from another room or what. I do sleep with earplugs so I couldn't hear it when I was sleeping, but my husband doesn't and he was tossing and turning all night. The next morning he said he figured out that it was the sliding doors opening and closing when people came in and out. Imagine that all night long. Anyway, just bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. It didn't bother me as much because I wear them. Other than that, I would stay here again. They offer a free sack lunch breakfast in lieu of their continental breakfast due to covid. It was a good snack of fruit, a breakfast sandwich, muffins and water. But you can get yogurt and oatmeal and coffee, tea, and juice in the dining room. This is a great hotel and I would definitely recommend, just bring your earplugs. Oh yeah, the showers were great!…
