This resort has free transportation to and from the Sekupang port if arranged ahead. It also has free shuttle to the Batam Grand Mall, typically leave at 11:00 and return at 16:00. The deluxe room is quite spacious, about four times that of a room at the Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay in Singapore. The air conditioner works well, the kitchen has two hot plates but no pots, pans, or any utensils. There’s a good sized refrigerator. One is pretty much captive to dine on site in one of four restaurants. We’re surprised to meet two long term guests, at the Tepanyaky restaurant one is from El Paso, TX and the other a former citizen of the Soviet Union now living in Latvia. Both work in oil rigs area or FPSO. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The downside is that the shower curtain has a stale odor, this was pointed out to the front desk and might be resolved. Also the “Game” room’s equipment is not well maintained, there is no cue chalk and one of the cues was broken. The spa area at night has a Bali feel. There are two pools, one is traditional rectangular one under a sloping glass ceiling with 1.4 meters water depth. The much larger free form pool though is 1.6 meters deep. There’s a kiddie pool connected to the large pool.

Very good as always. This resort was our first property comes in our mind when we have a plans to go to Batam. Rooms are very specious and their service was extremely good. Our family had a wonderful time at Holiday Inn Resort Batam.
First good impression came from Ms Yuzi at reservations department, who shared useful information about the hotel activities and transportation arrangements, as well as arranged for a birthday cake for our daughter.
The hotel location is somewhat far from city center (around 30 mins away), but the hotel provides a daily 11am shuttle bus to go to Grand Mall Batam at the city center (and returning to hotel at 3pm). From there everything else is nearby already. If the shuttle timing is not suitable, Grab and GoCar can be ordered for less than $10.
The hotel room is very spacious, with living room and kitchenette. Although signs of aging are there, the Housekeeping team manages to keep everything very clean and tidy.
The swimming pool is the major highlight for our kids. It has a small slide, water fountain, jet spray, banana float, and basket ball game. Other than that, a trampoline and bicycle rental also provide fun for the kids.
Food is an area of improvement opportunity, though. The variety and taste at Terrace Cafe could be improved for better enjoyment.
And finally, all the staff that we encountered during our stay (reception, bell boy, housekeeping, restaurant staff, transportation staff) are friendly and helpful. All in all it made up for a pleasant family vacation for us.

I stayed with my husband in 3505 for 2 nights. This resort is Perfect for all sorts of travellers, business, solo couples or families! Decent breakfast spread starting as early as 6am so you can have a hearty meal before you go about your day. There’s a games room with pool tables, darts and foosball tables - fun for friends, families and couples. A huge swimming pool for both grown ups and kids, a tranquil spa and a kids room for the little ones. The room, although some have commented that it’s slightly dated, it is very well maintained! Plenty of TV channels, room size was spacious and everything was functioning well. Not to mention it was very clean as well and bright with a lot of natural light. We were upgraded to the suite, with a nice view of the pool. There hotel grounds were always clean. We came across landscaping staff keeping their plants tidy. There wasn’t a single fallen leaf in the pool! Sunbeds were kept dry and clean for guests. All the staff of Holiday Inn Resort Batam have certainly made us smile with their friendly service, namely Dinda, Ocha, Raya and Angga (I hope I spelled their names right.) I didn’t manage to get the names of the staff at the restaurant during breakfast hours but I hope the management will also extend my praises to them after seeing this post. The chefs, the live station cooks and all the service staff greeted us whenever they see us. They promptly cleared plates and offered freshly brewed coffee (the caramel latte was good!). Also kudos to housekeeping for keeping our rooms fresh. Location was slightly outside the city area but we had no problems getting anywhere with Grab. Also - the welcome cookies were yummy! :)

The hotel claims to have been refurbished but it doesn't appear so. Block 2 was so badly maintained that only one out of 2 lifts were working. My room had a musty smell. Housekeeping didn't replenish towels, toiletries were not replaced on time. Pool did look nice though.

I found the advertisement about 2 bedroom suites by accident, and immediately interested to try this staycation with my family. It was our FIRST TIME staying in this resort. The resort located far away at Tanjung Riau, Sekupang where the old Waterfront Ferry terminal located.
We stayed in 3601 suites, then offered by the receptionist to move to 3501 due to electricity tripped at the AC compressor.
It was spacious apartment with 2 separate bedrooms and really fit for us (4 persons). Equipped with homekitchen, refrigerator, couch, dining table, 2 bathrooms.
We were satisfied with the facilities provided such swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis, bicycle, gym which can be used for free.
I found that Dragon Chinese restaurant is not operating anymore but there is Japanese Tepanyaki bar at the pool area. There is seafood restaurant just 30 meters away outside the resort..
We enjoyed the breakfast at Terrace Cafe in the morning. Variant menus seved in international and Indonesian dishes, fruits, salad bar, pastry etc. But the taste of the foods for us quite plain. There was no specific taste either in the international or local cuisines. We tasted the curry and paratha but unfortunately it has only strong curry flavour but not the taste. We still spent long time at the café enjoying the pool view.
Overall, we satisfied with the service. All staff were kind and helpful. It's recommended to stay again.

Banquet staff Ms Lasria took her initiative to suggest a customised serving menu for my family of 5 members instead of the usual set menu for 10 pax, for Lunar New Year reunion dinner on the eve. Hence my family can avail to the traditional dishes away from home and at a discount. Gong Xi Fa Cai.

We booked 2 rooms of one bedroom suite with queen bed for 6 of us.
The room was huge, and we loved the room as it came with a balcony that overlooked the swimming pool. However, the room needs some refurbish. Mattress too soft and pillows too were too soft.

We've stayed for five nights and it was an amazing experience. All the staffs were polite and very helpful. Even the driver, who picked up from Ferry Terminal and Drop off are also very friendly. Especially, Hengki who was our driver during the stay. He was great and we have a shuttle service to pick up and drop off at Grabd Batam Mall. I want to specially thanks to Wendy who help us and provide all our request during the stay. And the rest of reciptionest team are also amazing and helpful. We booked Tropical Signature Packages at Hotel Tea Tree Spa and got 25% off. Two ladies Messaures who gave us service are very polite and professional. That's the Packages you don't want to miss out when you stayed as couples. We will definitely comeback.

I've enjoyed my stay. I love the room and balcony but I don't like the toilet because it's a bit dark and the bathtub look not clean, so we don't dare to soak inside. Staffs at front desk and breakfast team are friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided variety of food. The best for breakfast was bread section which I never seen anywhere have full options of bread like here before. Just only location a bit far from city but the rest was good.

Grab is not yet fully operational,,theres a hotel car to shopping mall for $10 Singapore dollar flat rate.and the driver is kind and you can request for pick up for the same rate
