We had a small family reunion at the Old Colorado Inn and everything was wonderful! The rooms were filled with beautiful furniture from old Florida and the beds were extremely comfortable. The pool is quiet and relaxing. The guest service is quick and responsive. You can walk to all the great restaurants and shops, the park and the Riverwalk, and the beach is a short 10 minute drive. I highly recommend this beautiful and charming hotel!

We took our entire family here for vacation and rented the Waterview Suite which is the front portion of the Owl House. The view is AMAZING!! The house is an historic, old house so it does show a little wear but I would still highly recommend it. The owners are absolutely amazing and are incredibly accomodating of anything you might need. So much living space...two living rooms, a reading nook, dining room and a big kitchen. I have previously stayed in the Owl House prior to the recent renovation that took some portions of the house and closed them off to make a new unit in the back, adding rooms from an adjacent building. We only had someone renting out the back during the last day of our trip, but the noise/sound from the other unit is noticeable so you should treat yourself and consider renting the entire house.

Fourth of July is a wonderful experience in Stuart, Florida. For the second consecutive year, we stayed at the Old Colorado Inn in downtown historic Stuart to enjoy the holiday. Our suite was quite large and well appointed. We enjoyed walking to the many pleasant shops and restaurants in the historic area. The owners and staff are pleasant and helpful and we look forward to visiting again.

I hesitate to write this review as I want to keep this all to myself so it would be available whenever I want to stay here. My husband and I recently stayed in the Oasis suite for nine days. It was by far one of the nicest, cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in. Immediately after I booked this hotel I received an email from the owner, Steve. He thanked me for booking and provided me with a phone number to call about an hour before our arrival. He would be meeting us at our room with the keys and to show us around. This suite had its own private driveway so parking would never be an issue. It also had a patio out back with gas grill and access to the pool. Inside it had all the conveniences of home: kitchen with stove, full size refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, washer/dryer and just about anything you could think of. There was a living room and huge dining room table. The bedroom had a walk-in closet. I could seriously live here! The location of this hotel is in the heart of downtown Stuart. Close to shops, restaurants and coffee café’s. Steve checked in on us a few times during of stay and told us if there was anything they could do for us, don’t hesitate to ask. Now that is something you won’t get at a larger chain hotel. Don’t hesitate booking here, you won’t regret it.

Great hotel and location in the heart of Stuart. Stayed on our final night of a 2 week road trip and certainly helped ended our holiday on a high. Friendly welcome and a clean room with everything we needed. Booked directly with the owner Steven the day before we arrived and was able to check in at 1.30pm. The Old Colorado Inn is very quirky with so much character and would definitely recommend this little gem to anyone who wants a hotel with a difference. Will definitely be returning on our next stay in Florida.

Nice little hidden gem Stuart. Right a long the boardwalk which had some of the best views. Not often I go to Stuart being from South Florida but decided to take a spontaneous trip and had a nice stay even if I didn’t get out to see the city as much as I’d have liked to. Would definitely go back.

The Old Colorado Inn is beautiful, clean and close to everything. This place has a lot of history, if only the walls could talk. Our suite was amazing, decor was beautiful and probably the cleanest suite we’ve ever stayed in, bravo! We walked to restaurants, shopping, the riverfront and more. Live music at a lot of the local restaurants. Would recommend staying at this hidden gem.

Great hotel! Hubby and I stopped here for a night on our drive from NJ to Key West through a recommendation of our realtor. Great old school hotel! We were greeted like we were old friends. This hotel is right in the middle of all the great restaurants and shops in the heart of downtown Stuart. The river walk is literally a block away. It was exceptionally clean. We loved it so much that we stayed a night on our way back.

We stayed at this hotel last minute due to a family emergency and without a reservation - so that was lucky. The hotel is lovely with large rooms nicely decorated and friendly staff. The location cannot be beat in the small town of Stuart. You are walking distance to multiple restaurants and shops and there is parking right there. We had a fridge, microwave and stove and plenty of utensils and cookware to make a meal but we decided to go out to eat instead and had a great meal at The Gafford which I will write a separate review for.

The Accommodation: We stayed in the Evinrude Suite which is the ground floor of an entire house! It is exactly as it is portrayed in the images on the Old Colorado Inn Website. The house is eclectically furnished in the spirit of old Florida. Central air-conditioning. Two bedrooms, Two full bathrooms, spacious living room, inviting parlor/siting room, kitchenette, traditional southern front porch, spacious back porch with top self furnishings, cable TV's, each space is wonderful and inviting. Just beautiful. You have direct access from your furnished back porch to the pool, pool patio and jacuzzi. Parking is right out front in your private drive way. Owner: Steven, the owner/manager was there to greet us when we arrived. His attention to every detail is clearly evident in the condition and care of the property. Thank you so much for your hospitality! Location: The location could not have been better. You are steps from Riverwalk and all the restaurants on the water. The Evinrude House front porch is 50 yards from the Saint Lucie River. You can sit on the porch and watch the boats go by. Feel free to verify with Google Maps. You will see what I mean. You are two blocks away from all the shops in town, taverns, candy shops, gelato shops, and a quiet breakfast. Beach: You are 8 minutes away from the beach if you drive like a New Yorker. It's 10 minutes if you drive like a Floridian. We went to Stuart Beach on Hutchinson Island. There are showers, restrooms, picnic area and dining facilities right on the beach. Very nice. Trust me, I'm a fickle traveler. Everything has to be: "just right." The entire experience exceeded my expectations. We will return, without a doubt.
