I’ve seen a lot of very poor reviews of this property and feel like I need to give an honest one. To preface this we WERE NOT in the Tower. We stayed in the “newly reimagined” main hotel. My husband and I are pretty picky but I don’t think the people posting reviews lately have seen or stayed in the main hotel.
We were in room 1440 overlooking the pool.
Pros: the “reimagined” king room is beautiful. It’s tasteful, huge, and very well appointed. Furniture is pretty, big tv, balcony overlooking the pool, huge wet bar with a hidden fridge and open shelving and big countertop. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are in pumps in the shower and are high quality. Bathroom is big and there is a good hair dryer and clothes steamer supplied.
Cons: I’m a bathroom snob and cannot stand the “open concept” thing that a lot of hotels are adapting lately. In our room the toilet and shower had a closed door but the rest of the room was open with no door to close it all off. While it’s aesthetically pleasing it can be irritating when your travel partner is on a different schedule than you as you can hear everything and there is no way to block the light. Also…and this was my pet peeve as I am a clean freak. The toilet and shower are in one tiny closed off room but the shower only has a 1/2 fixed plate of glass so it’s also open concept. Again, pretty, but as careful as you can be it still gets water all over the bathroom floor. And if you don’t shut the door it’s freezing because of the big open bathroom outside. Also no “grab bar” in it in case of a slip.
And YES, there is construction on 1/3 of the main hotel. There is major noise most the day, so if you plan to go here and hang by the pool and relax, this is not the place to stay for a few months. If you are out and about during the day take advantage of the lesser prices.

I am a big Marriott fan. First I used them for business travel now for pleasure. I have used most of their brands too! What sets Marriott above the rest are its people. They have certain qualities trained into them. Beyond friendliness! Real service, compassion. This very large complex of golf course and condos, has a Marriott hotel in it. It is under renovation. We ate in the onsite restaurants. The biggest problem is the lack of thoughtfulness in the employees. A waitress argued with me at breakfast, not to order from the menu but eat from the buffet! It went on for 2 mornings. I never eat from buffets. She won this argument. My freshly prepared eggs were served with cold potatoes. We went to a local restaurant, half the price and all the food was the same temperature. Nice waitresses. My husband had a rented scooter delivered. The front desk was told of this before we arrived. They booked our room the farther east away from the main building. Seriously? He had to ride the scooter thru the parking lot and around the construction vehicles to get to breakfast. The pool area has no ramps, just steps.
No employee wears uniforms. It was a real head snap when a man, in a plaid shirt, told me to move my car away from my handicapped husband. Valet? NOT! So that’s the reason for my love points. That and a total disregard for the fact that we are Bonvoy members.

Despite reading the bad reviews we decided to stay here. We rented 3 rooms on the sandpiper tower after the 4th of july. Parking is not free as you pay a daily resort fee. The resort looks great from afar, but needs to be redone. The entry door was pretty beat up and took time to close correctly. When we arrived our keys did not work. Maintenance was sent to replace the batteries. Safe also did not work and had to be reprogrammed. Our balcony sliding door was woefully need of repair. My wife could not open it without my help. My in-laws room was not even cleaned before they arrived and the needed a new room when they arrived. On the positive side were the restaurants and golf courses. The beach was great but they also ran out of chairs when the resort was clearly not even close to full. Just not worth the money for what you get.

While you appreciated our on-site restaurants, plush golf course, and relaxing beach, it's unfortunate to hear you experienced a few issues. I rarely post negative reviews. If something is wrong I prefer to talk to the staff. The Marriott staff was polite but never followed through. We were in Stuart for an air show. The first day I notice two minor issues. The refrigerator did not work and a access panel needed to be trimmed. I didn’t mention these but it seemed odd that in an newly renovated room no one caught these issues. The real problems began the second night just before we had to leave for dinner. Water started coming out from the bathroom wall. We called the front desk and they sent someone to look at the problem. A management type came up right away. When we explained that we had to leave for dinner, she said she would watch the room and call us if there were problems. No one called so I assumed everything was fixed, We got back to our room about 11:00 only to discover that there was no water. When we called the front desk we were informed that we would be getting a new room. We got settled into the new room about midnight. When I woke up I tried to make a cup of coffee, The coffee machine was broken and leaked water all over the counter, In order to wipe up the water I had to move the microwave. Someone had removed the grounding prong. The final straw with this room was that there was only one washcloth in the room. When we checked out I told the clerk about these problems. She was very apologetic and indicated that we would be receiving a partial refund. I think that a fair resolution to this problem would be a $500.00 refund. That would make the rate match the level of product we received. If the manager wishes to contact me my telephone number is in the reservation request.

The only positive is the staff. They were all very friendly and attentive. -AC stopped working so one night with humid air -Queen beds are NOT regular Queen sized which was particularly bad bc my niece is VERY tall and my sister is 5’10”and I had shoulder surgery so when sharing a bed needed that little bit extra space -resort fee includes one umbrella per room except there aren’t enough. I’ve had melanoma so I NEED an umbrella and they were out -room quality is equal to a Hampton -2” gap under door to an open tiled atrium so you hear everyone in the entire place leaving their room along with the very loud bird that found is way in one morning. We didn’t have any but bugs or lizards could EASILY come in -sheets barely cover the bed so if you roll over at all the other person loses covers -no music at the tiki bar -first level rooms have a view of the ocean blocked by sea oats if you sit down on you balcony chairs -duvet cover was ripped so

A perfect experience. Had a few free nights expiring and looked for a promising location weekend to use them up. This hotel has a unique setup. A main hotel on the Hutchinson Island golf course and an additional beach front building on the ocean sands a short drive across the tiny island. They accepted our three free nights for a weekend room in the main golf course building. No problem since we could still use the beachfront location and additional pools too. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the Beachfront Building with a top floor beachfront room. It was so refreshing to find not only front desk personnel (Dakota and Eileen) but all the employees with a “can do” friendly attitude. You can feel the positive vibes in this place too; they go out of their way to please the customers. This is so rare in the hotel industry following Covid. We also had daily maid service. We spend over 100 nights a year in Marriott hotels and I’m here to tell you that the management team here not only knows what “Quality Customer Service” is all about, but has implemented it throughout their organization. In the last year this is one of two Marriott Hotels we have visited. (The other is the Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort and Spa) that have truly “Wowed” us. We arrived at the hotel and we quickly checked in. We were given some suggestions for dinner at local restaurants which we did try. We opted not to have our room cleaned in light of Covid. The next day we stopped at the front desk asking for extra toilet paper, soap, shampoo etc. I was given an attitude by the front desk people saying in essence you just checked in yesterday and you need more things! This was embarrassing to say the least. We had been to two Marriott Vacation Club resorts prior to coming to Hutchinson Island. We were not treat as poorly as this hotel treated us. So we decided that whenever we needed supplies we would ask the lady who cleans the room. She was much more respectful than the front desk people were. We stayed a full week at this hotel so we weren’t stocking up on supplies. Next this hotel is in dire need of a remodeling both inside and out. The rooms have old bathrooms with make shift granite slabs around the tub area which looks cheap. There is a kitchenette but no utensils not even plastic, an old room safe that had the numbers worn off the keypad. The carpet was stained and the balcony roof was rusted. At each end of the outside roof are two round towers. The aluminum soffits are hanging down and you can see years of neglect on the outside as well as the inside of this hotel. I understand that this hotel was sold to a new owner in May 2021, as far as I can see nothing has been updated nor is there any activity showing work being done. This hotel is definitely not up to Marriott’s standards that I am use to. I am a Marriott Timeshare owner and Marriott Bonvoy member so I’m aware of Marriott’s reputation and standards. This hotel does not met them.

I had the pleasure of visiting Latitudes Pool Bar recently, and I must say, the experience was made even more unforgettable thanks to Nolan, the bartender. From the moment we arrived, Nolan’s energy and professionalism were immediately apparent. He greeted us with a warm smile and took the time to ask what kind of drinks we were in the mood for, offering creative suggestions that were spot on. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and it’s clear he takes pride in his craft.
Not only did Nolan mix the perfect cocktails, but he made the entire atmosphere at the bar feel so inviting and relaxed. He was attentive without being overbearing, making sure our drinks were always topped off and that we had everything we needed to enjoy our time by the pool. His friendly demeanor and quick service really set the tone for a fantastic anniversary weekend.
It’s rare to find a bartender who combines great skill with such a genuine, personable touch. He remembered our names every day too! Nolan truly elevated the experience at Latitudes, and I can’t wait to return!

The check-in process was smooth and Abigail made the process smooth. I was thanked for being a platinum member and given my voucher for breakfast and a map of the property. I wasn't offered 4PM checkout but was given noon checkout via chat later that night. The room was large but had some wear and tear evident (see photos). During breakfast I was surprised the voucher given to me for my status level did not include the buffet, only a few sandwiches on a reduced menu. I was also told by the server that gratuity was not included even though the voucher stated specifically it was.

As a frequent business and vacation traveler, I was incredibly excited to visit the Marriott Hutchinson Island property during Thanksgiving break. Absolute mistake! While the property website notes "Fully Renovated" this is not the case. The area around our room was an active construction site with work ongoing throughout our stay. Most of the amenities listed on the website were not available - no beach shuttle (it's not a short walk), no watersport rentals, no marina or fishing access, no poolside food and beverage service (Latitude), no tiki bar, not even towel service at the pool (no pool staff during our Saturday-Wednesday stay). I have never rented a car while staying at a resort, as it is typically unnecessary - we ended up renting a car and spending most of our time off of the property.
The room was wonderful, but it was not our plan to spend our entire vacation in our room. The staff was amazing, which is the reason for the two star review, otherwise this would have been one star. The golf course was fine, typical executive golf course with friendly helpful staff.
After staying at several other Marriott properties this year (La Concha and the Honeyrose Montreal are highly recommended!) this was an incredible disappointment. I contacted Marriott Bonvoy to share my concerns instead of posting a negative review, but received no response which is actually more disappointing. Clearly, Marriott has abandoned pride in its brand. NOT recommended.

The Marriott Baha grill had a great buffet breakfast which was included in our package. Most restaurants were a little far to walk but a very short drive by car (3-4 miles)
There are more places to choose from in the Stuart area.
