If you need a room around Ocala, Silver Springs or the Ocala National Forest, you can’t do better. This pristine Holiday Inn isn’t the cheapest place, but it’s definitely the best value.
It is spotless everywhere you go. The rooms are well appointed with all the right amenities. Guests and staff wear masks all the time and we got disposable gloves for the breakfast line. The food and coffee were perfect too.
So, yeah. I liked it.
I took a photo to show my wife what I had. She says I should have had the fruit and cereal instead. She always says that.

First, ROSE in the breakfast area is so amazing! Her level of service is very uncommon these days and I truly appreciate her and the atmosphere she provided during our stay. The full hot breakfast and location were the main reasons I booked this hotel. Rose was the cherry on top of the sundae. :)
Truly, all of the service staff at HIE (Silver Springs) were 5 stars in my opinion! When I was walking down the hall to take my towels downstairs for exchange (I opted out of housekeeping just b/c we had so much stuff in our room ;) ) I was stopped by, who I believe, is the housekeeping manager and she immediately exchanged my towels. The daily housekeeper on our floor was amazing as well and consistently asked if there was anything we needed.
The hotel is a GREAT location for Silver Springs (we did a clear bottom kayak tour). Right around the corner. Very comfortable beds, clean rooms, and easy access to all the fun things to do in Ocala.

I’ve made a commitment to visit Ocala more often to spend time with my disabled mom because she’s getting older. One requirement/ request II have with all of my hotel rooms is bathroom accessibility for my mom because she stays with me when I’m in town. When I arrived at the hotel Sherry checked me in and when I asked her to confirm the room was accessible she wasn’t sure but agreed to go upstairs to check which was very cordial and appreciated . As she was taking me upstairs to check the Asst GM (Rashma Kathwaru) questioned her loudly in front of me, asking her why she was taking me upstairs and when she was told the GM quickly stated it doesn’t matter because I was checked in and it didn’t matter because I wouldn’t get a refund. I was so offended and humiliated because there were several guest checking in and overheard her. Sherry was so new she didn’t know how to respond and thought she was in trouble but I stepped in and pointed out to the GM that her statement was rude and Unwarranted because a refund was not requested. Ms Rashma kathwaru (Asst GM) yelled from the front desk to where I was standing by the elevator “the bathtub is standard and I’m just doin my job” so I asked myself was it her job to yell at a first time guest across the lobby. Her attitude was deplorable and was not welcomed after a long flight cross country and made me feel very uncomfortable. When Sherry showed me the room it was accessible although it wasn’t a walk in it had bars that would allow my mom to safely take a shower. It concerns me that management is not concerned with the safety of disabled guest and find it ok to berate their staff and guest in the front lobby. I will not stay here again! I gave two stars in acknowledgment of Sherry and the breakfast staff that were very friendly!

We have stayed at this hotel on 2 different occasions. It is such a special place. First, it is SPOTLESS. I’ve never seen such a clean place. It feels like you eat off the floors. So unique. Second, the lady in charge of the breakfast was SO accommodating and friendly. She truly cares. Breakfast was great! And finally, I’ve never seen anything like this...even the staff of maids are over the top friendly. It’s like every person who works at the hotel genuinely wants you to enjoy your stay. You won’t regret staying here!

Our stay at the Holiday Inn on Silver Springs Blvd was excellent. Our allergy free room had an air purifier running when we arrived.
Lobby area was very clean and they even posted the expected weather by date in the elevator, a sweet little added perk.
The hot breakfast buffet that was included was very good, the woman working the buffet area was so friendly and helpful.
We will definitely stay there again, looking forward to it.

I usually don’t write reviews but this hotel and staff deserves one. My room wasn’t ready when I was checking in and the staff kept apologizing about it and offered me water ( I think her name was Theodora). In the morning at breakfast Rose has to be one of the nicest people I have encountered at a hotel breakfast. From her good morning when entering, asking how your doing and reminding people to put gloves on while getting their food (COVID). She kept the place clean, asked if anything was needed while she was going around wiping up. Definitely will stay again if I’m the area.

Breakfast was top notch Dez had it tasting yummy!
Loved the lobby staff so friendly!
Pool was great and gym was fun! House keeping always checked on our room to make sure we had clean towels and offered room service without being asked!

Room was spacious and clean. There was a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and blow dryer in the room. We did not have a reservation and it was not a problem. The free breakfast was awesome and very well managed especially considering the virus problem. The tables were continually wiped and there were masks and gloves available. The parking lot was well lit and we felt very safe.

Our family came here for just one night to test how travel is going post-virus lockdown. The next day, we visited Silver Springs State Park, which is right across the street.
We were able to keep our distance from other people. Instead of the usual breakfast bar, there were "grab and go" brown paper bags that were put together with a baked good and piece of fruit. Coffee was available, which I suppose could be problematic with everyone touching the same coffee carafe handles; I brought my own cup. I also had to sign the waiver upon check-in with a pen that probably everyone used. We didn't go in the pool, but were told it was limited to 10 people.
Everything in the hotel looked and smelled clean, and we didn't have any problems during our stay.
