The pictures and description of the hotel were deceiving. This is an older hotel with some modern bathroom fixtures. The room smelled moldy. They've started remodeling the lobby, so perhaps, in the future, l be a lot nicer.

The beds were very comfortable.

This hotel didn't give guests any indication that the room had been sanitized beforehand, (like putting a seal on the door) although I assume it was.

The shuttle to old St Augustine picked us up right outside the lobby doors, which was very convenient. This was part of the fee one paid for the "hop on - hop off" trolley service.

The hotel is just steps away from an absolutely gorgeous beach which made everything that much better!

I booked online a few weeks ago, I realized this was not a brand new resort but I was pleasantly surprised.

We checked in on a Sunday evening and Kayla was on the front desk, I also noticed she was identified as the manager on duty also.

We originally booked for one night but after driving through town, seeing all the lights then opening our door to the ocean, I booked a second night.

Our room was clean, bed was huge and well appointed except no safe, in Florida a lot of people carry firearms so perhaps you might want to consider adding them.
There was some dirt on the bathroom wall that should have been taken care of and the paint on the bathroom door is many layers thick, perhaps strip some doors back for maintenance or replace them.

We were in room 428 and the WiFi does not work at all. It only works when you open the door. Both my wife and I tried on our iPhones but to not have WiFi in this day and age is terrible. Whoever mapped your WiFi needs to come back and fix it. You can’t offer terrible WiFi in 2020!

As we left for dinner we walked down the hallway from our room, wow it is depressing, like something in a hospital. Buy some paint for the doors and put some more pictures up, it is terrible and really not hard to do. You could even buy one can of paint a week and do the doors in stages. The elevators too need some vinyl wrapping treatment, they are terrible with the buttons and controls scratched with graffiti from 2012. Go and have a look please if you are the owners of this hotel!
The view from our room off the balcony is amazing towards the ocean but someone in your management team needs to stand on the balcony and look at the shockingly back back of house space you have for your pool filtration equipment. It stares at you before you look at the ocean, it is so bad, Im surprised your own team have not said something.
The use of step and pulls in you restrooms is great, thank you for putting these in.

Kayla is your star right now, I hope you have realized this. I chatted to her and realized her background. Working in the hospitality industry myself developing theme parks I recognized her straight away. Keep her within your organization and grow her.

We would definitely recommend and stay again but you can do some really cheap things to improve this hotel.

I checked out Tuesday morning and it’s now Wednesday night. No follow up feedback survey has been sent and hence why I’m posting here.

We have been coming here for about four years on our way further south in Florida. The hotel is in perpetual refurbishment and still has a long way to go. Our room had a rusty door to the balcony and the door was jammed partially closed. The "bath towels" looked more like the floor mat in most hotels, about 20" by 30" and thin. The internet is slow at best. The location is good though. The price is okay but that's because the condition isn't up to the competition. The help is friendly, and the food at Santiago is good.

My wife and I traveled to Saint Augustine Beach to get out of the house and get some exercise during the Covid pandemic. The front desk check us in and apologized for everything like the restaurant the bar and certain amenities being closed but we expected that for a great price that we got!

We were given a poolside room which we normally stay away from because of the noise but the pool closes at dusk and were told that if there was too much noise they would make sure that people stayed away from the pool the fact is that these rooms are incredibly clean spacious and dare I say almost noise proof!

We kept the air conditioner and the fan going the majority of the time they were there it makes the normal noise that an air conditioner would but we never heard our neighbors or anybody at the pool during our time!

We were steps away from the beach that opened probably at 6 AM again the front desk was very informative about the times that we were allowed on the beach

We were about a 15 minute ride from downtown Saint Augustine when we experience a lot of fun and excitement even though the majority of the shops are closed it was great to be able to walk around with no crowds and experience the oldest city in America.

We look forward to coming back to this beautiful location when everything is open and have any opportunity to jump on the trolley to go downtown once again I’d like to thank the staff for their incredible hard work keeping us safe happy and informed what we’re on property!

See ya soon

Supersize Guy party of two!

Initially when we checked in, I was pleased with our room. However, after walking around the room with just our socks on, it became apparent that the floors were FILTHY. I complained to the front desk and was told that, due to the pandemic, they could only deliver a broom to our room (even after I informed them that a broom would not be sufficient). They said they had no other rooms available to switch to. If I hadn't been there for a very small wedding, I would have left. I used some Lysol spray to mop the entire floor and took pictures of the disgusting rinse water and towel. To add insult to injury, when I received my credit card statement, I had been charged for an additional night that was not part of my reservation. I am working with my credit card company to dispute the extra charge. Oh, and by the way, many guests were not wearing masks anywhere on the property and I did not see any attempts to enforce masks or social distancing.

Stayed here last week and had a great time. Our bed was big and very very comfortable. The resort is directly on the beach and a small kiosk renting chairs and umbrellas is conveniently only steps away. There is also a pool behind the resort.
They allow leashed, quiet and well behaved pets here (and also on the beach) so we took our 4 legged "son" with us and it was delightful for all of us.
I had one slight issue in our room which was my fault but the manager Dianna quickly came to the room and promptly resolved the problem with a smile!
We drove over to the historic district and had a delicious meal at the Thai House and then returned and had a very pleasant walk on the beach.
Some renovation was in progress at the resort but we never heard a peep of noise while we were sleeping.
The room was clean and the staff very friendly. I heard the breakfast offered was tasty but we did not actually eat there. Our room was equipped with a Kuerig coffee pot, micro-wave and small refrigerator which helped us save some money. ( Just down the street is a Publix).
There was plenty of easy parking available.
Some rooms have balconies which we definitely want to get next time.
We plan on returning next month and stay longer:)

Definitely NOT a resort. Basically an old style Holiday In with overpriced Guy Harvey merchandise in the lobby. No amenities except for a small pool. No soap dishes in the bathroom. Hang a wet towel on the towel rack it hangs over the toilet paper roll. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. No ceiling fan in the room. No fruit or garnishes at the pool bar. All beer is canned. Food is limited to hot dogs and cold subs, when they decide to make it available. Every room is dog friendly so if you prefer sleeping in a room where a dog has not been in the bed or on the carpet stay somewhere else. Bed was very comfortable.

We came for a quick getaway and were thinking that this “resort” would be every thing and more. We paid $250 dollars a night, so of course we’re thinking this will be perfect. There’s a tiki bar, beach access and a pool. Man do they need to just take the resort out of the name. The rooms looked nothing like the photos. The metal in the room was rotten. Balcony chairs were filthy. Once we got into the room and tried to use the restroom the toilet would not flush and the sink clogged immediately. The shower water got to be just at warm and I know the towels hadn’t been washed because there was still a tag from when they had just been purchased. With COVID-19 happening you would hope they would be even more aware of cleanliness. We didn’t even see anyone cleaning the buttons that every one touched on the elevators or wiping down door handles. That was not the case here. And for $250 a night, honestly I was just baffled.

The tiki bar is absolutely not what it looks like in the pictures. I’m sure someone probably has a better bar built in their back yard. The pool was not what they make it seem. There’s not even a hot tub (which is fine) but if you’re promoting a resort for the amount of money we paid something’s got to be different.

The elevators stopped working twice and when they did work it took 6 minutes to get to our floor. Yes, I timed it. The hallways were hot and muggy. It was not worth the money.

We will not be returning. Very dissatisfied.

The beach was nice.

The value for price was excellent at Guy Harvey. Rooms were hit or miss as far as renovation completion/cleanliness, definitely check the room that it’s up to par before you commit to one (they graciously let us switch rooms a couple of times). The hotel was extremely quiet even though we stayed a Friday night. You’re right in the beach too which is super convenient! Also, we left stuff in a room when we checked out and they called immediately so we could pick it up, that’s great service!

Don’t fool yourself with the name. Rooms are dated, room that we stayed in had dirty carpet that seemed to be like 10yrs old. Furnishing are clearly dated. Not sure how often housekeeping comes because we haven’t seen a housekeeper in 3 days although we requested daily housekeeping. One day some guy knocked on the door and left fresh towels, soap and coffee but nobody ever came to make up the room. Tried to go to the on site restaurant, was about 30 mins from 11am close and the hostess really didn’t want to seat us. Restaurant was half empty and she told us there would be a 10-15 minute wait. Clearly she didn’t want us to dine there. Hotel is open obviously pet friendly as we saw tons of dogs, I mean dozens of them. Might explain why the room appeared dirty. Don’t stay here if you are allergic to dogs, I am sure you’ll have a hard time. Overall 3 stars and quite overpriced in my opinion.

Hi, pets are allowed on all floors as long as you pay the pet fee. Pet fee is $50 per night with a maximum of $100 no matter the length of stay. The rooms on the bottom floor all have tile throughout, so if you wish to have an all-tile room for your pet, please make sure you request this as the other rooms do have carpeting.
