My first visit to this property was amazing. A few years have passed and while this visit was very good, I am rooting for the return to amazing. Rooms continue to be spacious with lovely views of the ocean. Enjoyed the easy access to the beach with complimentary beach chairs. The food from Reflections Bar and Grill was good. Changes such as additional fees for onsite activities, very thin toilet paper, and dingy bathroom towels dulled the experience.
Enjoyed my stay in the hotel, very clean and detailed with great staff. Every single staff that we met during our stay were fantastic so welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to visit again soon. And will definitely recommend this place to everyone.
Views were great and they have options to keep the kids busy. Some things need repair. like the toilet paper holder falls off the wall. Only one side of toaster works, and we were missing the ottoman for the balcony furniture. Every other balcony we could see had one. I will go back with my kids as it was an overall nice experience, but if I didn't have kids I would go someplace nicer.
This is our favorite property in South Florida. The only problem we had was that the turntable in the microwave did not fit the rotor so it would not turn during cooking, not a biggie. However, the handicapped shower we requested is designed terribly. The side sprayers spray at the doors flooding the bathroom and even the overhead shower head flooded the bathroom and there was no seat in the shower. Needs to be redesigned. There is construction next door but it wasn't a bother. Actually interesting to watch. Reflections Bar & Grill has really good food, so we ate lunch there everyday. Better than many of the local restaurants we have been to. Dirk & Nick, have been servers there for years and are so pleasant and efficient. The rooms are clean and the sports area to the north side gives you lots of activities; basketball, soccer, football, corn hole, table tennis, pool table, putt putt, air hockey.. too many to list. Don't worry if you can't get a chair at the pool because you will either be in the pool, in the ocean or playing games!…
My husband and I are Marriott vacation owners. We have loved every property we have visited so far. The staff was wonderful. And we had a wonderful beachfront room. We opted to attend the presentation, to find out what is new and upcoming with Marriott. Unfortunately we were met with some deceitful sales practices. We have always chosen Marriott because of their trusted brand. That trust has been broken. I just want to warn anyone that is ready to sign on the dotted line to Please, please, please, get everything they promise you in writing. It saddens me that someone would forego trust and integrity just to make a sale.
High rise buildings. There are great views especially from a high floor. On the ocean view units you have construction going on the next building so they start making noise early. The views are great.! The balconies are big. The beach chairs are included. The beach area and the pool space is not very big. Very easy to get to the beach. I prefer Marriott ocean point becuz the outside facilities are bigger, but chairs are not included there.
As owners in Marriott Vacation Club, we frequent many MVC properties in Florida and Oceana Palms continues to be a family favorite. Our most recent stay there from 01/10/2022 - 01/13/2022 was again enjoyable and I wanted to mention the amazing job Hannah is doing on their front desk. We arrived early (before 4pm) and our daughter was in the middle of on-line school and needed a place to settle for the afternoon. Hannah quickly suggested a quiet spot where our daughter could be on-line with her class and it was a perfect. It’s a small thing, but that helpful solution combined with her welcoming and personable manner throughout our stay made it all extra special. Thanks Hannah!
We used VCP and stayed a few days right before Thanksgiving. This was our first time to this resort, and we had not been in the West Palm area for about 18 years. This is a smaller Marriott resort with two buildings - Sunrise and Sunset. We stayed in the Sunrise Building, and while there was construction next door, we were still able to use and enjoy our nice, big balcony! We enjoyed the size of this resort, having stayed at many larger Marriott properties. Our main objective was to spend time at the beach as we only had two full days. We did use the hot tubs, but never the pool area. We enjoyed the beach, and the complimentary lounge chairs. We had lunch at the Reflections Bar & Grill, which is very casual and the food was average-good. The staff was overall friendly, but no-one really stood out. The construction is happening all around, but our villa kept us away from the main area of noise, and being at the beach, I didn't really notice it much. We would return in the future if in the area.…
This is a beautiful resort with lovely, spacious ,modern accommodations on a quiet gorgeous beach. My 2 star rating reflects my profound disappointment with this Marriott for its failure to place public health as their #1 priority. While this property states that employees are required to wear masks , the compliance was inconsistent. Masks are optional in public spaces for guests. I have just stayed at another MVC in the same state 90 minutes away that has large signs throughout encouraging mask wearing and explaining this as a step people can take on behalf of public health. A change in priorities and I’d give this property a 10.
I love Oceana Palms. I'm here now for my fourth visit. It is exceptionally maintained, and the staff cannot be beat. Three cheers for Eric the fitness instructor. As many TA reviewers indicate, there has been ongoing construction for years just to the south of the resort, resulting in noise all day long. During my current visit, guests are subjected to additional disruptive construction noise immediately north of Oceana Palms during daytime work hours. Sitting at the pool, one is surrounded by this racket. The noise is not the fault of the resort, of course, but it is a fact that has an intrusive impact on ones vacation. It is nearly impossible to use the balcony on the north side of our building during work hours, which is unfortunate for my family members who came here to do remote work, hopefully while enjoying some fresh air. Just saying. Looking at promotional photos used by Marriott to market the resort, one could legitimately wonder how there possibly could be construction noise from both the north and south sides of the building when it appears as though there aren't buildings anywhere in sight. The doctored photos are misleading and have been in use for many years. For the benefit of readers who've never been here, I've attached a photo depicting the actual view from the beach. I continue to be patient with Oceana Palms and look forward to one day visiting post construction and with honest photos of the property displayed.…
