Justin at the front desk was so helpful and he had great customer service skills. This is our second time to this wonderful property and this time Justin stood out the most. Thanks Justin and all IHG Orlando waterpark staff. From the girl that couldn’t remember her room number. Cause she only had 2.5 hours of sleep plus had an 8 + hour drive.
The staff was beyond fantastic! I can’t enough good about our experience. The food was hot and there was a nice variety for everyone in our party. Even the picky eater. I would definitely recommend this establishment.
My family and I are staying at the hotel but we went to the market place to eat we ate at the buffet, what is the service was incredible everyone was so attentive but especially Andres and even brought drinks to our table and asked if we needed anything else and I also helped explain some of the food items that were there.
HI suites was fun. Staff was friendly, water park was nice, especially hot tub. Breakfast at the marketplace was excellent, many delicious options. Habiba was super friendly and very helpful on multiple occasions. I would go back again.
My husband and I stayed with our sons while we visited the parks. Our 8 year old wanted pancakes from the breakfast buffet, but they didn't have any. Habiba went to the kitchen and had some pancakes made for us and brought them out for us! They truly went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Aside from that, our room was very clean, the pool was wonderful and warm, and we had fresh towels and supplies every night when we returned. Couldn't ask for a better stay! Thank you Habiba!!
Was expecting a bit more from pictures posted. The room itself (1 queen and a kids room with bunkbeds) was so great for our family and seems to have been updated recently. Our 5 kids were able to fit comfortably in the kids room (twin over full bunk bed- my 6 and 4 year old slept on the bottom full) there is a nook that perfectly fits a hotel crib in there and we used a crib mattress on the floor for my 2 year old. The hotel itself seems dated, not very pretty in terms of landscaping, but my kids didn’t mind or seem to notice. During our stay it was really too cold to use the pool or water park, and sadly laser tag was closed for renovations. We had hoped to use the hotel amenities more but we made do with other stuff in the area. I think as one other reviews wrote, there is a lack of attention to detail, but maybe they are just sourcing things up during the low season here. Also would’ve loved housekeeping or at least a broom to sweep the floor. Based on the room and how great it fit our family, I would come here again. …
The food at Lakeside Cafe was awesome taste, freshly cooked and lots of variety to choose from. The hospitality given by their team and especially Maria D. was exceptionally well. I would say whole team was exceptionally well and friendly. I would like mention about one young lady server behind buffet food counter that she brought me warm milk to my table when she found that I was looking for it. She was very good at customer service. If Maria D. reads this review, request you to please share her contact so I can reach out to her to convey my special thanks. I recommend this lakeside cafe to all my family and friends to have awesome food experience during their trip.
I am a Diamond Elite member with IHG, we stay at a lot of their properties mostly for work. When we travel for leisure we typically chose their properties too. I booked 4 rooms for my family and myself for a 6 day vacation, we did a day and a half of hotel pools and three days at the Disney parks. To save time- if you are looking to book this hotel to save a few bucks on a Disney trip you will likely not save much and be disappointed about the property. We arrived and had to move two of the rooms right away. We have a highly sensitive to mold /mildew allergy with us. She wheezed for 24 hours and had to move hotels despite their efforts to move them the hotel has water and the water park right in the center. For what’s it’s worth they were accommodating on moving rooms and suggested they would be cleaning the rooms with the mold musty smell issues. The rest of us opted to stick it out. The staff is friendly, and do their jobs. To me what’s missing here is attention to detail. For me to consider this a resort and want to stay here again… Our room: I can usually get by without people making my be, but I would think dirty towels shouldn’t be left in a room for days at a time. every day we had fresh towels but they didn’t removed the dirty ones until I left them in the middle of the room one day..( they were on the floor in the bathroom before that) From day to day the garbages would be emptied and some left. With a family of five in one room, (2,4,6 year old and two adults) we had lots of food and snacks. Kids make crumbs we are used to it , but our floor was not swept or vacuumed once while we were here. By our check-out day walking barefoot was just silly. To me this is an attention to detail that is just lacking, you should not have to ask for the room to be swept, or dirty towels to be removed.. The pool and property seem to be in the middle of getting maintenance done/ updated (at some point this was a Nickelodeon resort). We had construction cones and paint on the floor to walk around. Bags of linens and garbage outside the doors all the time. The food was hot, and decent, we did not eat here for every meal but the ones we had were good. I will say the breakfast buffet was not worth 25 dollars a person. We did not have to pay for it while we stayed but if you do I would pass. The “free” shuttle leaves at 8:30am and goes to magic kingdom and Epcot( I think) we used it one day as we wanted to be at the parks when they opened. They do not pick you up at the lobby be warned. They Huss picks up by the movie theater. We almost missed it because this detail was not shared. ( again attention to detail, it took two phone calls to the hotel before we arrived to determine all the shuttle details) This was the main reason we booked here and not on property or at another location . We feel like it was false advertising. In order to get on the bus you have to book it ahead of time, and have the code to use ( call the hotel) at check out. We paid a lot for Uber and Lyft rides to get to and from the other parks with the price of Uberx + car seat we could’ve stayed at a moderate Disney resort and not had to pay for transportation. That being said it’s extremely easy to book an Uber/ Lyft quickly from this location. The staff was always”on” they were friendly and helpful they are the one part of this trip I have absolutely no complaints about. Honestly when we read the reviews ahead of time they were part or the determining factor to give it a try. . Perhaps house keeping and maintenance need a rally but imo that comes from the top down. We still didn’t have one poor interaction with anyone. Despite the great service this is just not a place I care to go for a vacation. At home you pick up your towels, take out the garbage, clean the floor, and do the dishes. Who the heck wants to worry about that on vacation or look at a mess? …
it is a great hotel lots of fun for kids had a suite 2 rooms and a living area overlooking the pool area ,really enjoyed the hotel BUT, went to market place in hotel where there are few fast food restaurants ordered taco for kids and charged it to the room as forgot wallet ,after coming back home checked statement and got charged 66$ for it and price was about 15$ called hotel they can't do anything about ,called restaurant no answer no call back I feel cheated
What a great place to eat our dinner while at the resort!! We actually were not planning to eat dinner here; however, we received a text telling us the Riverside Cafe was having a BBQ Buffet tonight so we chose to eat there! AndresDougle was our server/host. He did an excellent job helping us, getting our drinks, and checking on us while we were eating! He was very friendly and attentive!
