During our recent vacation, my husband and I chose to stay at this hotel with the hope of enjoying a peaceful and relaxing getaway. However, our experience turned out to be quite disappointing and far from the serene retreat we had envisioned. One of the major issues we encountered was the ongoing construction work that persisted from 9 in the morning until 5 in the evening. The constant noise and disruption made it challenging to find tranquility within the confines of our room. Conversations became strained as we had to raise our voices to be heard over the construction sounds, significantly impacting the quality of our stay. The level of noise throughout the day was exceedingly loud, causing additional stress and further diminishing our ability to unwind. Despite raising our concerns with the hotel management, their response was limited to informing us that we would need to bear with the situation. Unfortunately, this left us feeling unsupported and dissatisfied with the service provided. Adding to our frustration was the lack of transparency regarding the ongoing construction work. The hotel failed to disclose this information prior to our arrival, which meant we were unaware of the potential disturbances we would face during our stay. Consequently, my ears were left ringing and in discomfort even after we left the premises, which was an unfortunate consequence of our time at the hotel. Considering the issues we encountered, we believe that the hotel's current pricing of $300 per night is unreasonable and does not align with the level of service and comfort provided. Guests deserve a tranquil environment and attentive management when paying such a premium for their accommodations. In order to address the negative impact this experience has had on my mental well-being, I am considering taking appropriate action. I would recommend reaching out to the hotel management, sharing your concerns, and providing any evidence, such as recordings, to support your claim. It's important to communicate your dissatisfaction and seek a resolution to ensure that your concerns are heard and acknowledged. Overall, while we had hoped for a restful vacation, the persistent construction noise, lack of support from the hotel management, and subsequent negative impact on our well-being left us disappointed with our stay.…

Stayed here on a business trip. When I was having breakfast I had to step out for a work related call as my breakfast was being brought to the table. The server, Alyssa, removed my breakfast from the table and kept it warm in the kitchen until I returned. She went the extra mile and I appreciate that.

We arrived for the first time greeted pleasantly by Luis who was over the top kind and attentive.. Ashley and Mohamed were friendly and helped check us in to a lovely , comfortable room . The amenities were beautifully styled , lovely art and THE cleanest Starbucks I e ever seen 🏆👌☕️ Great downtown location too !

My husband and I just returned from a quick weekend trip to celebrate our anniversary. We could not have had a better time! The renovations are all complete with a gorgeous lobby, lounge, and restaurant. Check-in, check-out, valet, and room service were all stellar in every way - efficient and friendly. We enjoyed lounging by the pool and dining at the pool bar. One warning - there are only 8 lounge chairs by the pool. While there are other tables, benches, and high tops if you are looking to lay out in the sun you may want to grab your spot early. They also had a brunch event with a poolside DJ which added to the atmosphere. The room itself was lovely. As some have commented, it is an older style room but did not feel worn or dated - it’s just not the minimalist/modern style in some newer hotels. We thought it was lovely. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The proximity to downtown and the Dr. Phillips Center also can’t be matched. We can’t wait to come back and have decided this will be our go to “quick anniversary trip” when we can’t get away for a longer vacation.…

1- I was double charged for my room. I have called & emailed but still not resolved. Now they are ignoring me. Waited 3 weeks yet still owed over$500! 2- Construction: it's noisy and ONLY 1 elevator for guests at a high rise hotel! Long lines and packed like sardines to get up to your room! 3- Safety: first night=Altercation in the lobby resulted in ambulance being called and we had to wait outside to be escorted to our room via a service elevator. Second night= woken by gun shots right across the street. THIS IS NOT A LUXURY EXPERIENCE!!!!

Our company held a meeting here over three days. Hotel was under renovation and very hard to navigate. Worst of all, when I checked out I accidentally left some clothing items in the closet. When I realized this the next day, I called the hotel to see if I could retrieve them. At first they tried to be helpful, but then did not return calls, so I had to keep calling back. I talked to three different people but to no good end. One person even told me they found my items and would send them to me; she even confirmed my address, so my hopes were running high that I would get them back. Fast forward two weeks: nothing received, no phone calls returned. What a disgrace. I feel like I was lied to so I would just go away. A proper hotel always has a way to reconnect left items with their owner/guest. This one does not, and then makes it worse by lying. I am a loyal Marriott patron, but this one is off the list.…

We stayed here recently to attend a concert at the Amway Center and with the exception of the nice gentleman who met us at the valet and handled our bags, the rest of the experience was terrible. This hotel is undergoing a massive renovation at the moment. After traipsing through the lounge and restaurant, you are led down narrow passages to an elevator and then led to a converted meeting room for check in. Check in staff was not particularly friendly and looked about as unhappy as the guests who just dragged their luggage up. The room was fine, but was a bit dated. All electric outlets, etc. are not convenient to access. The biggest issue was that only one elevator was working during our stay. Upon returning from the concert, we literally waited in line close to 30 minutes to get up to our room. As I anticipated this disaster re-occurring in the morning, we had to leave an hour earlier than planned to get to the airport and as expected it took close to 35 minutes to get an elevator down and get our car. I heard a lot of other guests complaining that the extent of the renovation was underplayed when they booked. As others mentioned, expect to wake up to full on construction activities including jack hammers and back up sirens, etc. Hopefully this upgrade will be worth it, but with the amount of work going on, I think they would have been better off just shutting down the hotel during construction.…

We planned a 4 day weekend in Orlando with another couple and booked here because it looked stylish, is a Marriott, and location was great. It is a Marriott and the location was great and that's about it for the positives. The Aloft 2 blocks away and same $. I am a lifetime Titanium Elite Marriott traveler. Cons: No lobby and the construction starts before 8 every day and goes until early evening often on full display - power saws, hammers, dust. The room: Body hair, presumably from the prior guests, was noticeable on the bathroom floor. Gross. Our room door lock was broken and took some McGyver like tricks to get it to close because the deadbolt would not allow the door to close. The front desk sent the "Engineer" up who confirmed it was broken and needed to be replaced. He said he'd be right back and we never saw him again. The handset on our room phone did not work, the front desk said they would send someone right up. They never did. Dogs barking. I did not know the hotel allow pets they obviously do because we woke up to the very loud sounds of dogs barking 2 of our 3 mornings. It's not the dogs fault- dogs bark. But I don't want to hear it in my hotel room that is $500 a night. We turned in our free breakfast vouchers for points because the service was bad and breakfast was a few notches below room temperature. I could go on re: the elevators, etc.. but won't. I hope posting this review helps other travelers avoid this place. If you are going to stay here, do not pay more than $50 a night.…

Do not stay here. Extensive hotel renovations. There is no lobby and limited elevators in service. There was a line 15 deep to get on an elevator. Service is not very good. No one answers the phone for room service, and I received different answers from 3 people for the same question that I asked. Our pool view consisted of a hole in the ground. There was no mention of renovations when the room was booked. Terrible.

We stayed for 2 nights for a wedding. Even though I registered in block of rooms, we didn't get the wedding rate. Lobby under construction ( for over 6 months), no signs, but had to go to 5th floor conference room to check in. Mobile key system not working, lighting in room is terrible, particularly in the bathroom for anyone attempting to put on some makeup. There was no where to gather with our family. Due to construction, restaurant area was absolutely freezing with the cold snap. Way overpriced. Won't be staying again.
