We were in Building 2, far end, which was a hike from the parking lot. Room was small, but clean and comfortable. Checked in at the desk, no problems. Nice Christmas decorations. Bigniettes (spelling) very good, and we felt we're a good value. Overall, we prefer staying at Saratoga Springs resort.

Hotel's Favorite
We've stayed at Riverside, the Polynesian, and Wilderness Lodge in the past. This was our first stay at French Quarter and we LOVED it. One major plus with this resort is its small size. It's quick to get around the resort and easy to navigate. Though we've loved Riverside, that resort is very large and it's easy to get lost. We were there the week before Christmas and it never felt crowded at any part of the resort, even the food court. The rooms have excellent mattresses (perfect after a long park day) and are fairly quiet. I could hear the neighbors closing their doors, but not much else aside from the clopping sound of the carriage rides going past. The food court was very good-we really enjoyed all of the options and found the food to be of a higher quality than what we had experienced at the Wilderness Lodge quick service location. The real food star would have to be the beignets....WOW!! They are so good and could sway me to stay here again in the future! The staff was very friendly and were even able to get us into our room 4 hours earlier than the designated check-in time. The shuttle buses to the parks were fairly frequent (never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus) and they were never crowded. The resort was nicely decorated for the holidays and had jazzy Christmas music playing throughout the resort. Overall, this was a fantastic stay!

Loved this hotel and want to book here again next time. Family of 3- mom, dad, and 8 year old daughter. We look for convenience and clean. Pro's: We loved that this hotel is small and easy to get around, short walk to everything, great food, pool bar was great, daughter loved this pool and waterslide. Has a nice relaxing vibe to it. River boat to Disney Springs and to Riverside was really nice to have. Beignets are a huge bonus of staying here, so good. Good value for the money. Con's: I do like a little bigger food court, although even this smaller food court does offer all the same food from what I could tell, it just felt smaller. Gift shop was also smaller. These are not deal breakers for me though. Still love this hotel.

I love French Quarter. The resort is lovely and compact which makes walking around a breeze, there really are no bad rooms here but I requested building 4 which I got and it was less than 2 minutes from our room to the lobby/bus stops and around 60 seconds from the car at all times. Love the Freestyle Machines in Sassagoula Floatworks and the hot chocolate is also excellent. My partner loves the Beignets in Scat Cats. Staff were all lovely and the bus service when we took it was excellent. Enjoyed the boat to Disney springs a couple of times as well. Little in the way of downsides here other than I really wish Disney would bring back daily housekeeping.

First time we’ve stayed on Disney property in years because we live fairly close. Came here for our daughter’s birthday at her request. Stayed here because she remembered this resort from when she was younger and loved it. We are staying 2 nights. Turns out they only offer housekeeping service every other day. Which, when you’re staying 2 nights means NO HOUSEKEEPING. What a joke for $400/night! You know who cleans the rooms every day? Hilton and Marriott. Know how much they charge per night? Not $400.

After researching and finally narrowing down our Disney hotel stay to Port Orleans French Quarter we were so excited. When we got to hotel you definitely felt the jazzy New Orleans vibe. The room was clean and we loved the double sink! Bus transportation was quick and easy to and from every park! The pool was a nice place to relax after a crazy day at the parks! My only complaint to this stay is the boat transportation....when we booked we knew the resort offered it. But forward a year later we forgot about it until the last night of our stay when we finally saw the boat dock and realized we could have taken that to Disney Springs. It's not advertised/mentioned well anywhere at the resort that you that option and where it takes you. We were disappointed about not ever taking the boat but that was mild. Would definitely stay here again!!

We enjoyed our stay here. Spent time prior to booking researching various different Disney hotels and we landed on this one for a few reasons…the relatively small resort size and the room size vs the more budget hotels being the main ones. Those were definitely two pros, the room was a good size for a family of 4 (2 adults, 11 year old and 8 year old) and the smaller resort size meant no long walks to transport. We rarely waited a long time for transport and I think only once was a bus full, the smaller resort definitely helps with that. The pool was fun and the kids especially enjoyed it. Food options were ok, the pizza was nice and possibly the best value we saw across the entirety of Disney. I’d definitely recommend staying here, there’s no major cons except maybe things starting to look a bit tired and it’s not full on Disney themed (although I actually liked that).

We spent a long time looking for the best Disney hotel for the budget and to suit all of the family. We cannot recommend this place high enough. It is quiet, there is little noise and it is a cooling, soothing place after the parks. The bus routes and buses are fantastic and mean that you are completely connected to all of the areas, with the added value of the boat rides to Disney Springs. The room itself is large and has two doubles within it and a double sink bathroom. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was variable, some nights were better than others and a la the rest of Disney on the pricier side. Beignets are amazing but massive and filling. Caution one beignet is more than enough for most... We have never seen a pool with 5 lifeguards on duty but had water slides, water play park and jacuzzi. Forget the razzmatazz of some the louder and brasher hotels, this has become our must stay place.

Room Tip: Avoid a riverside room, maybe pricier but the boats don't stop until 11 pm. Choose garden room...

Just arrived home from 4 day stay at Disney. I’ve been to Disney 20 times and this was the most enjoyable relaxing resort. Staff were helpful. Great for elderly. Pool is great and supervised. Can’t wait to see new renovations made to pool. Only suggestion. More normal American food choices at food court
