Detailed Reviews
We stayed as a family of 4 for 6 nights in April, and had a wonderful time. This hotel predominantly caters to the business professional clientele, yet we were still made to feel very welcome as a family with small kids. We liked the huge size of the hotel, their pristine amenities, and their beautiful pool area (complete with a kids pool area). The hotel's food options are varied, delicious, reasonably priced, and available at convenient hours (we especially liked the 24/7 market). Parking was also conveniently offered at $27/day. The location of the hotel is great as well, and we were able to get to all the main attractions within a short drive. We also liked the hotel's text message service - you send a text with whatever questions you have or things you need, and it is brought directly to your room. They did a great job with that service. The one disappointment was the housekeeping - we didn't know before coming here that housekeeping is not offered bc of covid. Since we were staying for a week, they did offer us housekeeping 3 times over the course of the week, which is a reasonable compromise, but given the mess that small kids make we would have preferred a daily service (especially since we were not in the room when they came to clean). Overall, we were very happy with the hotel and highly recommend it, and would definitely stay again!!

This hotel is still the best as far as convenience and close proximity to walkways to convention sites. We've been coming here every January since the 80's and although we did not really miss The Peabody, per se, the difference this last trip with the amenities was remarkable.
This was the first time in the last 4 years we were unable to reserve a particular suite even when making the reservation a year in advance. On reserving this suite we were assured that it was available but at check in they moved us to another suite with no other excuse than it was already occupied. On departure this month we were unable secure another suite for next January as they were already full up!
There is no more room service. Last year really enjoyed the room service breakfast with real china and silverware. Room service food here was always exceptional. The only "room service" available now was from the B-Line Diner delivered in to-go boxes in a big bag....with sales tax and a 18% delivery fee. A lot of the clientele for these conventions are younger people who are happy with a wrap or pizza and I've done it too. I just want to say I was surprised they scrapped real room service.
The elegant marble lounge in the old side of the hotel (with the water fall) is now a sports bar and table area for the snack/ sandwich/breakfast/fast food commissary. This area was packed most of the time. I miss the old bar but they certainly made better use of this space using a lot more tables and chairs to accommodate a larger crowd. It's fairly noisy, too.
The pool areas of this hotel are top notch. One pool even has swimming lanes.
The rooms and bath areas are clean and well maintained though as one person said, theres no "wow" factor. Bedding and mattress was good but pillows are overstuffed to a fault. If your neck requires a flatter pillow, I suggest you pack your own.
Another thing is this hotel admits dogs to all their rooms. They host kennel club conventions. This is why I like bring my dog here.

This is a great hotel, but be prepared to pay extra for parking and resort fees. This adds an additional $56.89 to your total bill for self-park and resort fees. Rooms are spacious, included small sofa, TV in bathroom mirror and exceptionally large bedroom TV. Be prepared to walk to parking in adjacent garage - our room key was not activated for the garage exit, so check that on check in. Food was great and convenient in 24 hour market, a little pricey in the diner, but good. Convenient location. Resort feel.

The 1-5 scale is tough, I feel it lumps to many of the middle quality hotels together. If it were 1-10 I’d rate this a hotel a 7, where as true mid range would be in the 5 to 6 range.
This is a nice hotel, the common areas a clean and look up scale. Most of the staff is friendly, but not all (some people don’t know how to put their personal mood aside while at work). The restaurants in the hotel are good but overpriced, maybe offer a discount for hotel guests? For the price I would have expected a bit higher quality.
The rooms, they look nice but don’t have a wow factor. I have stayed in updated La Quinta’s (we have a large dog, very few hotels will accept accommodating) and they are far nicer than these rooms. The sheets are rough, the bed is lumpy (supposedly a euro pillow top? Are they lumpy, I don’t know but what every that was, it wasn’t comfortable), the towels are scratchy, and the room cleaning staff seems to meet most requirements for a clean room but miss details (random stains on bathroom door, dirt in corners, smudged mirrors). It was kinda fun that there is a tv in the bathroom mirror, I guess that would be nice if you are someone who likes a bath or spends a lot of time in the bathroom. I think the room cleaning staff need a reminder on conduct, yelling down the hall to a coworker is rude to guests in each room, and is even more rude when they continue to yell to each other as we were walking down the hall between them. It was strange.
The pool area is nice, lots of space, but can get crowed at peak time. We passed on the spa, there were some nice options but again, over priced. Like most hotels parking is another over priced fee, I never understood why adding a parking fee is necessary...corporate greed, make as much profit as possible? Lol!
So yeah, I can admit it is a nice hotel, the common areas are nice- bars, restaurants, lobby, pool, market, but no wow factor overall for the price you pay. I doubt the trend will ever change as most hotels are like this, but I think I’ll try somewhere else for the cost next time.

Spent the day at WDW. Wanted a clean room before heading back to Jacksonville.
Got a good deal on a travel web site. The hotel is new, big and beautiful. If you do not have a car it is a great hotel. If you drive your own car be prepared to pay the $40.00 / night for valet parking. If you self park it sets you back about $29.00. The garage is close but after a day of walking I am thinking the extra $11.00 would have been worth it. Then of course there is the world famous resort fee of $30.00. They can provide you a list of extras the resort fee covers. Mostly just smoke and mirrors. The resort fee is also taxed so do not expect the government to ever push to get rid of this little gem. So a $140.00/ night ends up at about $210.00. I already knew all of this so it really is my own fault for picking this hotel. By the way they double charged me on the bill. After tracking down the accounting office they kindly refunded the overcharge. They gave me the old "sorry about that" which sounds a little insincere. Again my fault for staying at a hotel that really is not interested in someone who just wants a clean room and comfortable bed after a day at the park.

This hotel was the perfect 2 day getaway for my wife and I. Rooms were EXTREMELY clean. Wait staff, from breakfast to room service were more than perfect. The hotel itself was very clean and made you feel like a king when you walk in. It’s a long walk from the self parking garage to the hotel, and its $27 per night. If you will be eating breakfast at the hotel, it’s much cheaper to get the breakfast included with the room cost. The sit down breakfast was a little pricey I thought, but definitely worth it. Everything was fresh, hot and extremely delicious. Not your normal tasteless food. We WILL be staying at this hotel again this summer for our next getaway.

Highly recommend the Hyatt Orlando. I stayed for a week for a conference. The hotel is spotless and the staff goes above and beyond for your care. During a time of COVID there are additional measures taken like face masks worn at all times on the resort, cleanliness of the areas, and social distancing. It felt like a sense of normalcy because everything went beyond expectations. Since rooms cannot be cleaned daily, the staff always was attentive to bringing fresh towels and coffee (plus cups). Then there is a 24/7 Market with fresh food and drinks available. Secondly, I had ice packs and the bell hop was so kind and attentive to whenever I needed to exchange ice packs when heading out to Disney and Universal with friends. Bonus for fitness enthusiasts, the gym is incredible! Plenty of cardio and strength equipment that never felt busy. It was December so I didn't get a chance to check out the pools but it looked amazing. Definitely stay at Hyatt Orlando if you get a chance. Plus its only 10 min from all attractions.

One of the advantages of becoming a World of Hyatt member is earning free Regency Club upgrades upon reaching Explorist tier status upon staying 30 nights per year. Their Regency Club is huge, compared to other surrounding Orlando Hyatt Regency Hotels. Their breakfast buffet was excellent and enjoyed many lattes, espresso and cappuccino’s from their very expensive, top of the line coffee machine. The concierge staff are very friendly and service and quality of food is superb! Their hors d’oeuvres in the evening with fine selection of wines and beer are enough for a meal. Come back again at 8:30pm for excellent desserts. The longe is spacious and has an amazing view of the city and their huge pool with waterfall and hot tub at ground level. This is the family pool with kids slide. If you are looking for a quiet area pool, choose the amazing 4th floor rooftop deck. It is next to the convention center and the hotel comes alive at night with exquisite restaurant and bars, an attractive place for company meetings / conference rooms / banquet facility. They have great store for clothes, etc. and offer a market to choose snacks / foods or toiletries. I initially booked a handicapped room and was not happy with all the water on the bathroom floor to wipe up and they quickly moved us to a high floor junior suite in their newly renovated building facing the family pool and city. We could see the Disney fireworks, from afar, in our high floor suite. The parking is pricy at $27/night for self parking and $40+ for valet. The amazing thing about this huge hotel, is all the staff is very friendly and personable and offer excellent service for such a large Hotel facility. It was an amazing, relaxing 4 night stay, but a 15-20 minute drive to Disney. We really enjoyed our stay!

It was just okay. We had a good time and I would not be upset to stay there again. But I wouldn't pay to do so. There are many hotels with the same ratings with far better service and no hidden fees. The $27 night car park charge is ridiculous when it's a long walk when you have luggage. The $30 resort fee is basically for the pool and a fitness room. The pool is lovely but there are lovely pools like this throughout Florida. That's an extra $57 per night on top of the room rates (not including the $70+ deposit per night that they hold). And if you want internet good enough to stream videos, that will cost you another $18 per day.
There is no cleaning service still in June 2021 because of COVID which is a bit ridiculous at this point given the price we paid per day. When we requested a garbage change, only one was changed. I requested coffee restocked and they did, but did not stock the cups. All employees were very nice. And it's super close to the convention
It just wasn't at the level of a 4-5 star hotel. It wasn't bad but I would stay somewhere else next time.

I am a long-time Orlando resident and I've stayed in this hotel many times. I am a writer and it is where I go to get away from the noise that is my house. This used to be a hotel that would take your breath away when you walked into the lobby, so if you are expecting that from a past trip, you need to know that your heart will be a little bit broken to see that the carved jade statues are gone and the hanging plants that made you feel like you were stepping into the garden of Eden are gone. I miss that, but if it were still that kind of hotel, I wouldn't be able to afford it. If you want beauty, then I'd recommend the Waldorf Astoria or the Ritz Carlton, but you'll pay a minimum of $699 a room at those. However, what the hotel lost in beauty it did not lose in quality, in my opinion. The restaurants are very good and the service is excellent. The rooms are large and comfortable. Everyone who works in the hotel is extremely friendly. I don't hang out by the pool, but it is a large pool with many places to sit (including a beach) and while there is no lazy river, there is an impressive tube/slide and the pool has 12 waterfalls. There is also one of those things where water comes up from the ground like a sprinkler and the little kids were having a ball in that. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet. There is room service, but there is also the fact that DoorDash goes to all the local restaurants and will leave your dinner at your door. There is a parrot in the lobby named Merlot. If you don't say "hello" to him when you pass, he screeches in protest, so stand advised. I have lived in Orlando long enough to be familiar with all of the hotels, and. this is the place I recommend to friends. I also like that it is away from the insanity that is Disney and I-Drive. They are a very short drive away, but you are not in the middle of the insanity. A few little tips: the rooms have Keurig machines, so you might want to pack a few of your favorite K-cups. The rooms do not have cocktail glasses, so I bring my own. The rooms have refrigerators with a surprising amount of room in them and the hotel provides 2 bottles of water per day. Breakfast at the Lakeside restaurant is fantastic. There is a large buffet, but the menu items are also excellent. (It's the only place in Orlando where I can get over medium eggs that actually ARE over medium.) The market has really good chicken salad sandwiches on cranberry bread. So many great touches here, but I will stop now.
