Booked a night here on the way back from Florida, and were pleasantly surprised. The motel looks like it was built in the 1960's, but is well-maintained and the staff is very attentive. Located right on the beach, with steps down from their own Tiki Bar ! Room furnishings are dated, too, but everything is clean. Definitely the most enjoyable part of the Sea Vista is the location !

We have stayed here several time but have never had any problems like this time. It is your typical beach Motel. Its clean but the beds are very uncomfortable. Some of the people that were coming in from the street and the beach to the bar were very scary. A group of guys came in and we found out later that they were a gang and they were wasted. I feared for my grand kids. It seems anyone can go to the pool area even if you are not a guest and out of 15 chairs that they have there 2 are not broke. Very disappointing and I will probably not go back to this place. I guess that's why the rates are good. I would rather pay more for my safety and a comfy bed and a chair at the pool. People who are not guest should not be allowed at the pool but all I kept hearing is, I know the owner or I work here. Some lady came to the bar with 5 kids and let them all swim. The kids went insane and ran around and made things very uncomfortable.

We have stayed at this motel a few times. It has a great location, decently priced, nice tiki bar on site, rooms are recently renovated, staff is friendly. The only thing I don't like is they let non-guests use the pool. The pool should be for paying guests only not everyone that lives in NSB. If I wanted to go to a public pool, which I don't, then thats what I would do.

Room 30 right by the Tiki Bar and Pool is a disaster. The room was filthy. There was sand everywhere. Even after sweeping several times there was more and more sand. The ceiling fan and air conditioning vent were caked with dirt and grease. There was black mold on the wall, food on the floor, a rusty refrigerator, a filthy dish rack. There was no where to hang a towel in the bathroom. There was nowhere to put anything down in the bathroom. We had to move the kitchen benches to the bathroom. If the “ocean view” curtains are open all of the Tiki bar patrons could see in your room. People were smoking anything everywhere and our room smelled like pot the whole stay. When I washed the floor the rag was black. I could not get into the bed without wiping my feet of sand. So much sand that I had it in my mouth. It is/was the worst of the worst and I’m certain I have bug bites. Anyone from anywhere can use the pool which is right outside of the room. The pool chairs are torn. There are full ash treys everywhere. The pool shower didn’t work. At night the Tiki Bar patrons are loud and obnoxious. Everyone from everywhere uses the Tiki Bar bathrooms. When you shower, if you dare stand in the shower with bare feet, the water gets so hot, then so cold and it’s so small you can’t escape the water temperature change. To top it off, they charge you for your whole stay when you check in and they have a rule that there are no refunds. No dogs are allowed but they were clearly there. We were awoken by a large dog barking at 6:00 am. They say no smoking in the rooms but pot was coming through the air conditioning system so much so that we finally asked to be relocated. Do yourself a favor, stay elsewhere. Other places were only a bit more and usually include breakfast.

Disgustingly dirty and dated. I can overlook it being dated, but not filthy. The shabbiness of the bathroom was what did it for us. Tub had been painted at least once and was peeling. Just plain disgusting. We were afraid of things crawling all over us while sleeping, and we all (4 of us) agreed that using that bathroom & shower was NOT gonna happen so we left. The only good thing about it was the ocean view. And parking is an issue too. There were 4 of us in 2 cars. Could only get parking for one; other car had to park on the street. That is something we could overlook too. Note pic of deadbolt - it doesn't work.

I would eat lunch, have a drink and hang out by the pool a few hours twice a week. The food is great, the waitresses are great and the environment could be good but the hotel manager harassed me every time I was there. The first time he screamed at me about other people's kids that I did not know with no apology. The next time he screamed at me about parking in their lot to go to the beach. I informed him I am not a freeloader, I have a beach pass for the beach but I was eating there again today and again no apology. The next time he screamed at me about my cup and I can't bring my own food and drinks and hang out for free. Again I told him I had their drink in my cup and just finished eating from their menu. No apology. I parked a few days later and here comes the miserable bum screaming at me about parking. I ask him what his problem was with me. I thought we finally got an understanding BUT YESTERDAY on my birthday here he comes again to just mess with me. I had finally had it with him. I canceled my food order and went to Chases on the beach. It has much more class, great food, great music with live bands and nobody screamed at me for having my insulated cup. This will be my hang out for now on. They seemed to appreciate that I was spending money in their establishment!

Haven’t been out in a awhile. Friend and I spent a few afternoon hours with bartenders Chris and Duffy I believe their names were. Great staff! Funny and attentive. Music was on point. Mixture of tourists and locals. Had the sampler appetizer platter and it was more like a meal. Clam strips, chicken strips, fries, mozzarella sticks, and fried pickles. Absolutely delicious fried platter served with lemon wedge and 4 types of dips. I felt like I was home again! Thank you all for a great afternoon!

Parking is difficult. Rooms are just ok. No internet. They can't explain how to operate the TV. For $185 a night I expect their ads to measure up to the actual experience - but did not. I regret this booking big time!

I was just looking for a room, but this was way better than I could have expected! The front desk agent was kind, I didn’t need housekeeping but they were very nice. The room is massive, I stayed in, I think, a king suite. The balcony was large and very enjoyable. Overall 10 out of 10! I usually prefer Waldorf Astoria or Hilton, but this was wonderful!

We loved our stay here! It is right on the beach with a nice pool and fun tiki bar. We ate our breakfasts and dinner and had our drinks right here. Everything was just what we wanted. Watched the sunrise each morning here too. Our servers and management was very helpful and fun. Will, Kristi, Julie at the bar good job. John the manager was great too. Thank you!
