I planned for my partner and I to stay at The Naples Bay Resort Hotel & Marina as a surprise for our engagement weekend. What can I say except our stay was perfect from start to finish. After I had booked, I contacted the hotel, to communicate some key dates around my proposal to my fiance (girlfriend at the time). On arrival we had been upgraded to a Marina view room, and welcomed with a glass of Prosecco. It seemed that all of the staff I interacted with were aware on arrival, and operated with the highest level of discretion so as to not spoil the surprise. Hope, the concierge was an absolute superstar, helping with my engagement plans and even discretely giving me a bottle of champagne "from the hotel" (it was actually a special bottle I had bought; Hope had the excellent idea to pretend to give us the bottle on behalf of the hotel, so as to not arouse suspicion on our special night, as we were off out to our dinner reservation). When we returned back that night, happily engaged, the room had been tidied and a card from all of the staff & bottle of prosecco delivered to our room to congratulate us. A beautiful touch which we greatly appreciated. Every member of staff, management and Hope especially, went above and beyond to make our stay absolute perfection.

We chartered a speed boat from the Hotel Marina, which was incredibly convenient (especially for my engagement plans as this was an integral part of my plan). The guy in the store was very informative and made us feel very assured. Although there was a mistake with our bill at the end of the trip, this was quickly resolved and the men in the shop were very apologetic. We will definitely be renting with them again as they were absolutely brilliant, and competitively priced when compared to other boat charters in the area.

The hotel itself is in a stunning location, not too far from 5th avenue and shack city, with a mini bus operating out of the hotel if you do not want to walk. The driver from New York (whos name I dont remember) was especially friendly, and even offered to take us on a diversion to pick up some provisions from 7/11 as we headed back to the hotel from 5th.

The room was clean and tidy, and the bed huge and comfortable. The pool facilities are gorgeous with a tranquil waterfall, and immaculate swimming pools. The young men, driving the golf cart from the hotel to the club house were well mannered and drove very carefully. We felt very safe as we travelled to and from the pool.

Once again, our trip and stay was wonderful. We have made some very happy memories here and cannot wait to return, and recommend to friends and family.

Thank you for an amazing time, and apologies for taking so long to review!

Dear Ben H, First let me congratulate you both on your engagement and thrilled that the resort was able to be a small part of it. I really appreciate the detailed and complimentary review of your stay at the resort and time in Naples. Of course I am somewhat biased, but our front of house team are incredibly friendly and accommodating of our guests needs. Thank you for recognizing Hope by name - she is an amazing Concierge and a genuinely warm and helpful person. We are fortunate to have her on our team. I am delighted that your stay was a huge success and I hope we can welcome you back to the resort in the future. Sincerely, John Reilly

This place is so amazing that it’s actually hard for me to know where to start with writing my review. When we first arrived, the valet greeted us and directed us to the front desk while they took care of our luggage. They even hand-delivered our belongings to our room immediately after we checked in. There were two people at the front desk, and they both had so much energy and kindness. They helped us a lot and were super positive and lovely. The grounds were beautiful and the pools relaxing.

I’m telling you, they’ve truly thought of everything! From the moment we arrived until the time we left, it felt like a luxury vacation. I felt like we were back in time when resorts still cared about the visitor, understood the value of your time, appreciated that you chose to stay with them, and recognized the financial cost of being there.

Considering the cost of the room per night, you shouldn't be charged an additional daily resort fee just to swim in the pool. This is cheap on the hotel's part. Plus adding a daily parking fee. Other than that, the hotel is nice and our room very comfortable.

Overall the resort is maintained immaculately and the staff is exceptionally nice and very well trained, providing excellent service. Unfortunately, the layout, look and feel of the resort fell short of our expectations based on other reviews, pics and the AAA 4 Diamond rating. It appears the developer tried to incorporate the factors to get that rating, but in my opinion, it is not deserving of it. To be fair, it was a nice place to stay, but just did not did not meet our expectations of staying at a resort.

We chose a King Superior Guest room, which was very clean and well appointed, but other than the bathroom, which was very nice and spacious, it was very small, with barely enough room for the king size bed and dresser / counter. The interior areas of the Naples Bay Club were very nice and upscale, but the outside pool area felt cramped. It had the amenities, but it felt like they crammed them in to say they had them. The main pool was nice, but it felt like the lap pool, adult pool / hot tup and lazy river (which was tiny) were all crammed in.

Indulge Restaurant and Bar was closed the four nights we were there. We also missed having a conveniently located bar for evening drinks. There was one at the Club, but it was only open until 8 and not convenient to the resort itself.

We rented a car, which I'd highly recommend and the valet guys, particularly Thomas, made parking and retrieving our car very quick and easy. Since we had a car, we did not use the shuttle service, but did take advantage of the beach chairs, umbrellas and towels the resort makes available. That made it very easy for us to go to different beaches on our own. It was a very nice touch and that flexibility made our overall trip much more enjoyable.

Overall, although we were disappointed with the "resort" feel, we did make the most of our trip, but it was mostly outside of the resort. It was a nice place to stay in the Naples area, but having a car and the flexibility to not be dependent on the resort is highly recommended.

We have stayed here several times in the past, always with a great outcome. This time however was a massive disappointment. We booked a very expensive room with a water view in line with what we thought we had booked before. It turns out it was a “superior” waterway view. Take note that this superior room is the back side of the hotel, yes a waterway view but adjacent to the very busy noisy us41 and a few feet away from the flight path of Naples airport with jet planes every 5 mins screeching overhead, our superior balcony was tiny, 2 small chairs and a table. All the neighbours were bigger, including sun beds. They were so big our noisy balcony was shaded for 95% of the day as it was recessed
We asked before arrival if we could upgrade the room as it was my wife’s big birthday and our 40th anniversary. We were told nothing available but if one became available we would be informed. On arrival we asked about a better room location (we didn’t know the true extent of the noise issues at this stage). But we were advised that the minimum stay in a bungalow was 6 nights, and there was nothing better than our room available.
The next room housed a dog that woke us up at 5:55am barking.
We didn’t get our room serviced, as we came back from the pool late afternoon and it hadn’t been serviced. They offered to do us next but too late for that. At checkout my wife expressed our annoyance at the various noise issues. The receptionist simply brushed it off by advising us to book a better room next time. There will (sadly) be no next time.

I'm sorry to say that this place has gone down hill. What used to be a great deal for the money has turned into just another money grabbing tourist trap. The suites are still very nice, but the prices have gotten very high and the "hidden fees" are becoming a problem. After a 14 day stay I got hit with a $49 per day "resort fee" and another $20 per day parking charge PLUS taxes on each! That's almost $1100 extra!
We never set foot in the pool area and had trouble finding a parking space every day! They've got so many reserved spaces for other tenants that the spaces for guests are few. They're advice is to use the valet parking, but that means more expense for tips on top of the $20 per day parking charge. Also, this hotel is directly in the path of private jets landing and taking off from the Naples Airport! Every few minutes you can't hear anything but the roar of jets from the airport. Sorry, I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years but no more. My 2 week stay cost me over $12,000 so from now on I'll just rent a condo for the month at half the price.

Dear williammB9780PN, Thank you for your feedback and for your patronage over the past several years. To be clear we do not hide any fees - all are shown very clearly and broken out by day on our website. I am not sure about how Trivago displays them as we have no direct agreement with them and when your bookings arrived in our system it was three separate reservations - two third party reservations and one booked directly to cover your entire stay dates. This may be why the fee's were not mentioned or displayed clearly. As a regular guest over the past years you will have paid a resort fee. I believe you will find that other comparable hotels and resorts charge resort fees and parking fees. The parking fee is indeed new and you may have noticed the barriers which we are installing to provide security and ensure only guests and tenants may park. Hotel guests have the option to valet park (for the same parking fee) at the front door or self park and tipping is optional. A large resort is expensive to operate and cannot compete with a vacation rental and that is why we do not attempt to. The experiences offered are very different and this is reflected in the pricing. Sincerely, John Reilly

It’s rare that I leave less than 5 stars. This property is beautiful. However, we were extremely disappointed upon arrival. We chose this property because of the lazy river and HEATED pools. Coming from Indiana, this was a must for our short 3 night vaca. I even called and made sure the property had heated pools. Traveling with our 6 and 9 year old, we wanted them to be able to swim and enjoy the lazy river. Upon arrival there was a sign at the check-in desk stating that the lazy river was closed and there were no heated pools or hot tubs due to an issue with the gas. We believe we should have been notified in advance so that we could find another location. We arrived on Thanksgiving evening so we didn’t have that option upon arrival. The person checking us in had nothing to say, or offer. We spent quite a bit of money to stay here and the pools were absolutely freezing. No one was in them, there were other guests at the pool area who were just as disappointed.
We also booked a 1 bedroom suite with a pullout. Attached is a picture of the pullout. It was stained yellow and ripped. Surprised by this for a 4 star property.
The resort should have been upfront with us, prior to arriving. I sent an email that evening and a manager did call waving our “resort fees” and offering $150 giftcard for dinner. This was nice, but it was too late.
We did rent a boat on Sunday and the staff was amazing. Our boating experience was fantastic.

Dear lindabW706EM, We appreciate you sharing your comments about the lazy river, pool temperature and the pull out sofa on Tripadvisor. Although your review is negative and understandably so due to the pool temperature in particular, I do hope that you were able to make use the other amenities at The Club. My apologies that your overall stay and particularly that of your children was rendered considerably less enjoyable and clearly not as you had hoped. We experienced a gas pipe break that after multiple failed attempts to repair we had to make the decision to have our contractor re-run a new line that ultimately rectified the issue. This took considerably longer than we had hoped. I am glad the manager on receiving your call was able to make a gesture although it was too little and too late to give you the sort of experience we had hoped to. If visiting Naples on a future occasion and if given the opportunity, we would make every effort to give you a much more positive and memorable stay. Sincerely, John Reilly

We stayed for two nights in February with a baby. My main issue with the “resort” is that it is a bunch of buildings that have access to a private club- the facilities are not within the hotel itself. This might be my fault for not researching better but I did not know you had to cross a road and walk past a busy highway to get to the pool area.it is not exactly the most relaxing experience. Especially if you have young kids and you forget something in your room, it is a trek back and forth. They offer carts but you have to call a can if your kid is under 6 years old and I had to wait over 45 min for another simple request I made so we did not want to have to wait to see how long the van took to arrive. Either way it is not convenient for anyone with younger kids who needs closer access to rooms.

The room we had was spacious and clean but outdated. Outlet by bed didn’t work, light by bed did not work. Hot water ran out in the morning.

Had other issues that were quickly resolved by management but overall this is not a luxury resort at all and again not at all convenient if you have much younger kids.

We stayed here for our quality sleep and relaxing time together away from where our Wedding events were being held. The Valet team were excellent and brought all of our items to the room in an organized and careful manner. This was important given the wedding items and all.

The room had an excellent balcony and view of the waterway that faced sunrise. The sunrise didn’t bother us since the Building One is tall and blocked out the first bit of sunrise. The blackout curtains or drapes were solid too.

We loved our kitchen in the unit to make our own coffee and snacks along with storing wedding gifts like bottles of wine. Having a large fridge and freezer came in handy. Having a separate tub in one bathroom and a shower in the other bathroom was nice too, so we could get ready at the same time.

The Front Desk staff were great and had our backs no matter what request we had. Hope understood the importance of our stay and everyone was authentic and came from diverse backgrounds. Over at the Pool and Spa area I met Gail. She was a treat to meet and talk to. She has a lot of experience and a genuine person which is refreshing nowadays.

There is shuttle service at the top of the hour from the resort to downtown Naples. Please use this perk. Just be sure to let the front desk know early as there is limited capacity and you may have to wait for the next hour to go. The distance from the hotel to the Spa/Pool is a long walk but the hotel has the golf cart service for you if you wish to catch a ride to and from. Please use this perk as well. The resources are there for an amazing stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this resort which is designed as 2 parts. The hotel overlooks the marina and the larger family cottages are based around the club facilities. The hotel and club are 5 minutes walk apart.
Our waterfront hotel room was spacious and clean with a pleasant outlook over the marina. The resort felt very exclusive and well manicured. Coffee machine, fridge, toiletries and robes and slippers were provided in the room. No ice machine, ice available on request in the downstairs cafe til 6 pm. Towels were available at the pools.
The hotel has studios and 1 and 2 bed apartments. The rooms are close to the bridge on highway 41 and on the flight path for the private jets from Naples airport which we hadn’t expected, so can be noisy on the balcony. You can also hear other guests next door; we had a lively toddler next door for some of our 5 night stay.
The club facilities were excellent with 3 pools and lazy river, large fitness room with 3 working peloton bikes, gym equipment and studio and well stocked changing facilities. We mostly walked from our room to the club but you can take the golf buggy shuttle.
There are water stations in the hotel and the club.
You can easily walk to Tin city where there are 2 restaurants and we had a great dinner at Pincers. You can also walk to 5th Avenue restaurants which we did, but it is alongside the busy highway and I didn’t feel very safe from a traffic point of view though did security wise, so we took the hotel shuttle. However, beware it goes once an hour and has only 14 seats, so make sure to book early if you want the 6 pm or 7pm shuttle. You can only book on the day. On site dining in the cafe and the casual Bluewater cafe were good. We didn’t try the fine dining option called Indulge.
We also took the shuttle to Lowdermilk beach with beach chairs parasol and towels all provided. There is a cafe and restrooms there. Many guests seemed to be returning visitors and happy with the resort.

There is one small pool that is at the hotel. The nicer pools however are at the tennis club area. I would strongly advice taking the complimentary shuttle golf cart to this area. It is much too long of a hike for a young child or older adults. The pools are much larger and have more fun activities for kids.

Sorry Journey! Over a year and I actually just saw your message. Better late than never. It's a secure location howver I wouldn't exactly call it all inclusive. The restaurant and bar at the pool is pay as if you are at any restaurant & bar. They do have several amenities provide to guests included with your rental fees. It's gated and you get a code to enter the property with your car.
