Hotels in Miami are as a whole very expensive, this was more mid to low end price wise and although the furniture was older the staff kept it very clean. The beds were quite comfortable too. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was included, nice bonus.

This is a direct quote my spouse let me use for this review. This was the third time we traveled to Miami for a cruise, and unlike previous years where we'd spend a day or two in Miami beach we decided to stick closer to the port. Unfortunately, this is definitely a "you get what you pay for" situation. Upon entering our room we heard the smoke detector chirping. When we called down to the front desk, we were informed that maintenance had left for the day and so our choices were to take it down from the wall or they could try to find another room for us. Since space was not a guarantee, we decided it would be okay for one night. One of the elevator banks was out of order the following morning- fortunately the others were working so I did not have to lug a 50lb. suitcase down several flights of stairs. The continental breakfast was decent- not great, but definitely more plentiful than other places I've been. They ran out of coffee early, but at least I got a cup.
To summarize, it did the job of providing a decent place to lay our heads before embarkation, but I wouldn't want to stay here more than a night.

3/5 stars is above average, but not excellent in any way...and that describes this hotel IMO. Probably worth the price we paid at just over $100/night, but I wouldn't recommend paying much more or staying there if you're very picky.
PROS: Free breakfast w/ decent choices (and at least two hot dishes), felt like a safe area, very big rooms w/ nice laminate flooring and some other little updates and amenities like a fridge and microwave, and coffee in the lobby 24/7.
CONS: Double-charged at check-in for a stay that was prepaid through TA. No housekeeping during our 4 might stay. We requested it around 9 am on day 3, but they said it had to be requested the night before...and yet they didn't come on day 4 either. Not much around the area that's walkable. Lots of little cosmetic things about the room that show its age like waterspots on the ceiling, a leaky tub spout, toilet that barely flushed, etc.

Got to the front desk no one to be seen, i waited approximately 5 minutes for the first rude girl to come out of the back office. The front desk girl was rude she said she did not speak spanish but the next day i saw her speaking spanish with another women that apparently works there ( no one uses name plates, I wonder why?) she said i was given the wrong room when i reserved on line and she changed my room, i reserved a king size with full size sofa bed and was given a twin bed instead. I only saw 4 employees during my stay and they were all very rude apparently they were upset they were working. I had no sheets in the room for the sofa bed and was told to pick them up at the front desk when i got there no one at the front desk the sheets were left on the dirty counter. Bed sheets on my bed dirty, the only reason i stayed unfortunately no other hotels available. I rented 2 rooms. My daughter was treated rude as well. My husband is a vet and we noticed vet parking lot but did not park there because we did not know whether we could, i was avoiding to confront this girl at the front desk, no need to let her annoy me more. I requested 3 extra pillow and was told no pillows available. I requested plates and forks and the lady was upset said she did not have to give me forks it was the front desk duty to do so not her, but with her nasty rude attitude she went into the pantry and got only 3 forks. So many things were wrong, like the big trash can in the hallway all day till the evening it looked and smelled disgusting, the pool no towels and dirty etc etc im not even going to write all of it here. the management will apologize like he has done to other bad reviews but apparently he does not care if he did no need to give out bad reviews. If you can stay somewhere else do so, dont spend your good earning money on this hotel its terrible and dirty and nasty rude people work there. If they would be smart they would understand our money pays there salary and should be welcoming and smiling it does not cost them anything but they can gain so much more. Ignorant. I called wyndham and complained directly to them if it helps any. I will not stay here again nor will my family. I gave them a 1 because otherwise this review would not got thru.

I called La Quinta directly to book the reservation only 20 minutes before arriving. I paid over the phone. Upon arriving, twenty minutes later, the staff told us that the room was not available and they only had more expensive rooms available. What a scam! There Is no way that this should be acceptable. Upon checkout, I heard someone arguing with the staff over having the same exact problem. Clearly this is a scam hotel, do not stay there, they uncharge their rooms upon arrival and its a drug den.

We just needed a place to sleep for one night. This fit the bill perfectly. No hassle, breakfast available, clean rooms, nothing overdone, and convenient. Check in/out was simple and the location was centrally located to the airport and city.

exellent service No complaints at all. Accomodations and location were exellent. I always stay here because of the location and the service. Also when traveling outside of USA I can leave my car in the parking lot for a small fee usually for 7 days or more.

The hotel has a good location close to restaurants such as Wendys, McDonalds and a small shopping center with local restaurants (Japanese, Mexican, Chinese, arepas) that you can walk to. Nearby but about a 25 minute walk and $5 in Uber, you can find a Walmart supercenter, Red Lobster, Twinpeaks, Chilis and Pollo Tropical. In the case of malls, $15 in Uber if you want to go to the Dolphin mall and Miami international mall. The rooms are large, large bed, have mini refrigerator, microwave oven, iron, hair dryer. I do not recommend the rooms near the ice machines (for example 402) because you hear a constant noise both day and night that becomes very annoying. We asked to change rooms and they gave us one in the center of the hotel (room 520) and It went wonderfully for us. Although they don't have much space for suitcases, they do store them for several hours. Breakfast is basic but decent (eggs, waffles, cereals, Bimbo-type bread, yogurt, sausages), orange and apple juice. They also have free coffee and infusions 24 hours a day. In general they were very attentive and kind to our requirements. Would go again.

The facilities and rooms were clean, comfy and spacious. The thing that will stick out most from my visit here though, was the staff. I was there on a Friday through Saturday and the breakfast/lobby area was so cheerful and always had a smile on her face. The housekeeping staff assisted us quickly with accommodating an extra person in our room, again, very polite and smiling.
Shirley Worthy deserves a special separate shout out. What a gem this woman was!! I called a few days ahead as I was nervous to bring my family on a vacation I arranged for the first time. We needed a shuttle for Saturday and she assured me she would be there when I got here Friday to help me. She was so helpful and kind with the shuttle, check-in process, and answering lots of questions.
When I visit Miami again, I would absolutely stay at this hotel because of the wonderful staff, and especially Shirley Worthy.

This hotel provides a Park, Stay and Fly option. Miami is a mess right now because of the Covid crisis. We were happy to find this hotel was open. The hotel is clean but in needs of renovations. This is an "old" La Quinta. Parking and internet is free. Due to the crisis, there is a 10pm curfew. Only restaurants available are ones that are drive thru or have outdoor seating. Breakfast, pool, hot tub, fitness room, and shuttle service to the airport are all shut down right now. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful during these uncertain times. The girl that checked us in was very nice and provided suggestions for dinner. We will stay here again.
