The Elser Hotel Miami boasts a prime location that comes highly recommended by travelers for its accessibility to attractions and shopping. While the hotel's atmosphere is often described as modern and luxurious, and the amenities like the pool and gym are praised for their comfort, some guests have called out inconsistencies in service and housekeeping.
The modern amenities and views in the rooms receive mixed reviews, with cleanliness and maintenance being points of contention. Additionally, many guests feel the unexpected fees diminish the overall value of their stay.

We stayed 7 nights in a One bedroom suite with king bed - Bay view.
We are a family of four - two adults and two kids - aged 11yrs and 14yrs (small for his age). So we used the king bed and sofa bed.
PRIOS
Great location for visiting places - opposite Bayside marketplaces and the Kaseya center (for NBA game).
Easy access to trains/ buses.
Nice room. Clean. Shame we only had a view from the bedroom area though. The lounge/kitchen area was quite dark.
Very handy having a washing machine and dryer in the room.
We were on the 45th floor so had great views over the bay and some of the city. We didn’t get disturbed by outside noise - probably because we were so high up.
Swimming pool, hot tub and gym were great. Shame they don’t serve more lunch options around the pool. Only a few sandwiches and drinks.
CONS
The hotel charge your card on arrival a security deposit of US$200 per night!!
This is actually taken from your account. I do NOT recall reading this on booking.com when I booked the room.
Despite asking before arrival for the sofa bed to be made up it wasn’t made on arrival. I had to request for bedding. Then request another pillow and another two bath towels.
The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Thin mattress and dipped everywhere. Only really suitable for one small child.
Housekeeping was every other day. However, throughout our stay I continually had to ask at the Lobby desk for 4 bath towels (they only supplied two large bath towels even though it was clear there were four people staying in the room!). Sometimes we weren’t given more toilet rolls either.
I think housekeeping just emptied bins, changed towels (if required) and checked to see if you had used any of the drinks/ snacks available in the room.
The kitchen equipment is VERY limited. We only had breakfast and sometimes made lunch in the room.
There weren’t even 4 forks and 4 teaspoons. The kitchen could have done with 4 smaller plates as it only had 4 large dinner plates.
Very expensive parking if you have a hire car.
Overall, it’s a nice hotel but if you are a family you might want to book a two-bedroom suite instead.

Dear RachelN953, Thank you for choosing The Elser Hotel and for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We truly appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our prime location, breathtaking bay views, in-room washer and dryer, and our rooftop pool, hot tub, and gym. It’s also wonderful to know that our high floor accommodations provided a peaceful and enjoyable experience for you and your family. We completely understand that the security deposit can be an unexpected surprise for some guests. This deposit is a standard hotel policy and is fully refundable, provided there are no incidental charges. It is listed on all booking channels, including Booking.com, and in our confirmation emails, but we will continue working to ensure this information is as transparent as possible before arrival. Regarding housekeeping and in-room amenities, we sincerely apologize for the inconsistencies you encountered. Our every-other-day cleaning schedule is part of our sustainability initiative, but we completely understand the importance of ensuring that all essentials—such as towels, toiletries, and bedding—are well stocked. We will address these concerns with our housekeeping team to prevent future oversights. We also appreciate your feedback on the sofa bed and kitchen equipment. Our one-bedroom suites are designed to accommodate smaller families, but for those needing additional space and comfort, we highly recommend our two-bedroom suites, which provide extra bedding and a more spacious layout. Finally, we recognize that parking rates in Downtown Miami can be costly, but as a centrally located property, we provide easy access to public transportation, rideshares, and walking-friendly attractions as convenient alternatives. We’re grateful for your insights and would love the opportunity to welcome you back for an even smoother, more seamless stay in the future. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly for any special requests before your next visit. Best regards, The Elser Hotel & Residences Team

This was our first time in Miami with my Family, we arrived March 3rd after 4:30pm at The Elser Hotel, and the minute our Taxi from the Airport pulled up outside the hotel, there were Valet guys outside already welcoming us and helping with our luggage. I have been to many nice hotels, but The Elser Hotel in Miami customer service went above and beyond. When we entered the hotel, the scent of the hotel was so fresh, everyone was so nice and welcoming. I honestly don't remember feeling at home like at The Elser Hotel. I had done my own research when booking this hotel and many reviews spoke highly of Nicole, Jasmine and William. Luckily, when I checked in on our first day, Nicole was there and she was super helpful and even she upgraded our room, a very sweet young lady . We were on the 39th floor and the one bedroom was so beautiful, spotless clean, comfortable and the view from our room was spectacular and we could see the Miami Heat stadium from our room, and the large cruises coming in. We loved all the hotel amenities, the pool, gym were all top -notch! Also something I liked is the security of the hotel, you just don't enter in any elevator, u have to scan your key and enter what floor your going to, and you will be directed what elevator number you will go use to your floor. This hotel is awesome as when we were ready to go to South Beach, the hotel has a contract with another hotel close to the beach and all you need is to show them your key of the Elser hotel and you can use their pool and your given free beach towels and the hotel is able to set up for you an umbrella and the beach chairs, all inclusive for free. The location is perfect and they have a mall which is a walking distance and many nice restaurants around and if your using an Uber to go to other locations, it's very convenient and close by. We finally met Jasmine and William one morning and just the way many people had written on the reviews about Nicole, Jasmine and William is so true. My Auntie came to join us from Jacksonville and she arrived at midday and you know the checking in is usually at 4pm, Jasmine was able to check in my Auntie early and upgraded her to a one bedroom and she was incredible and sweet too we spoke like we were old friends. Now, William on the other hand was outstanding, I guess he is the manager of this hotel, he was welcoming and kind and he surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a card when we went into our room, and we even had a late check out as our flight was at 4pm. I can say everyone honestly was very helpful and nice, and the housekeepers are exceptional. My conclusion, is that the owners of this hotel must be very nice too and treats their workers well because they all seem very happy, enjoy their job, helpful and always smiling. There is also very good team work here. There is so much to write about this hotel, but I have limited space. I highly recommend you to stay here, you will not regret it!

We were leaving on a cruise the following day, so we only had a one night experience at the Elser. It was a perfect location, close to food, shopping and entertainment right across the street - which let us do a lot more in the few hours we had in Miami.
We had a standard balcony with a partial view of the bay that offered a gorgeous view of Downtown Miami at night, as well as the Cruise port during the day. The room was clean, spacious, and made us feel right at home having a full size kitchen, refrigerator, and even a washer/dryer if we needed it.
I have to give a big shoutout to our Host, Joe, who greeted us kindly and explained the security system around their elevator. Only letting guests go to the public floors and their personal floors added a peace of mind that was certainly welcome. Joe also went out of his way to hand-write a note congratulating us and to send us a bottle of champagne when I mentioned briefly that this was the first stop on our honeymoon.
It was a pleasure staying here and I would do so again next time we go to Miami.

When we chose The Elser for a family trip our expectations were of a comfortable accommodation, clean environment, efficient services and friendly and helpful service. The expectation did not come true and reality showed us a robotic team even for the cordiality presented. The cleaning and cleaning are very poor, because in a suitable for 6 people lacked dishes, kitchen utensils, disposable (toilet paper and towel paper) and after cleaning the room we always had to call requesting something that was missing, for example, bath towel, towel, sheets. That made us embarrassed by so many calls made to the concierge. We were with an 8-month-old baby and had to clean the floor of the apartment so dirty that it was, even after the cleaning was done, because we couldn't let it get stuck. Due to the time of year the hotel was crowded and I believe this is one of the difficulties in serving guests more efficiently. Another couple of friends who were staying in reported the same disappointment. The value of the daily does not justify the service provided. In the hallways we found a lot of garbage, cleaners always full of used sheets and a bag of garbage for hours, as well as items for room replacement. Which helped us when there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms. The positive points are the location and the view of millions, the hotel is beautiful, the beds and pillows extremely comfortable, the staff that support the guests with luggage are very kind and helpful, I can no longer say the same of the managers, but I still understand that the hotel was crowded and this may have been the reason for the poor quality of the service. The partnership with the beach club is another high point of the hotel, worth the resort rate because the service is very good and the beach is beautiful. The hotel has a lot of potential, but needs to train and a lot of its teams. Zeladoria, cleaning are the most sensitive points and the ones that most failed with us. Unfortunately I don't believe we'll be back, the daily is too high to risk a new disappointment.

The Elser Hotel is a beautifully modern property located in an excellent spot, offering stunning views and apartment-style accommodations that are both stylish and comfortable. The bedding and pillows are incredibly cozy, making it easy to unwind after a long day. The pool area is another highlight, providing a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the Miami weather. While I didn’t get a chance to visit the on-site restaurant (the one in the lobby had great energy and was pretty packed so that's a good sign) during either of my stays, it’s worth noting for travelers who might be looking forward to dining options within the hotel.
Unfortunately, while the aesthetics and amenities are impressive, the service doesn't quite match the expectations of a 4.5-star hotel. Check-in can be a lengthy process, and housekeeping services are inconsistent, with requests sometimes overlooked or delayed. Guest services are hit or miss, with response times that vary and a general lack of attentiveness.
If you're someone who values a comfortable, modern space and a great location but isn’t too concerned about receiving polished guest services, The Elser might work well for you.
However, if you’re a traveler who enjoys being taken care of, values attentive staff, and expects consistent services for a seamless, high-end experience, The Elser may fall short of your expectations. While the hotel has many appealing features, the service gaps leave room for improvement.

Originally booked a 3-bedroom suite and was downgraded to 2 1-bedroom suites due to a “mechanical issue with the original room”. Was told the rooms would be on the same floor(they weren’t)and that the sofa beds would be made up(they weren’t and when I called down was told that it would be an extra fee to turn them down.) The tvs in one room would not connect to the WiFi, so no service. The free continental breakfast is a joke as well. You can get coffee and one(and I mean one as people were denied more) breakfast pastry. If you want an orange juice be prepared to spend 12 dollars a small bottle. The facility is nice and the views of the cruise port are excellent. The staff was friendly but it appeared that they would tell you what you wanted to hear without being overly concerned about making it happen. When I arrived at 3 pm they lobby was filled with people waiting for a room. The check in is at 4 but be prepared to wait as the day we arrived people were still waiting for rooms at 7 pm. Be very careful when booking at this hotel as it appears that they have no problems switching your itinerary the day of arrival with little notice.

Got in early and paid for an Oceanview Suite. The lobby was gorgeous, clean, and smelled really nice. The pool and gym was impeccable.
The room itself was quite disappointing - reeked of pet urine. Tip: keep the room cool so it doesnt smell. The room was NOT cleaned at all. As beautiful as the room and view was, the cleanliness was not up to par. Fingerprints can be seen on the sliding doors, cabinets, and refrigerator. There's no dish soap, soap for dishwasher and/or scrubs even though you had a full kitchen. There was no laundry soap nor dryer sheets, so if you are staying there, bring your own if you need to do laundry.
We were only given 1 toilet roll per bathroom, no extras so we had to buy some from CVS down the street. Room was also stocked with VERY limited number of bath towels, not enough for 5 people.
The bed - the pillows were NOT cleaned at all! It smells like days of unwashed hair. The bedding in one of the room had foundation stain on it which was covered with a blanket. Trust me, I had to wash all the bedding sheets before sleeping on it because I simply cannot trust what I saw and smell. One of the bed was broken, it was making all sorts of noise just trying to sit on it.
In all honesty, Elser could be better if the rooms were well maintained and cleaned appropriately after each guest. I was quite disappointed as it did not meet any of my expectation for the price I paid. Again, gorgeous view that lacks cleanliness.

On check-in, I asked the bellman _twice_ if I could order food delivery to my room. He said yes. I said, "...and it will be delivered all the way up to my room?" Yes, he said.
I waited 20 to 30 minutes after delivery to call the front desk to ask where my food was and guess what... The bellman was wrong.
I had a concierge and two front desk. People tell me that their policy is that I have to come down to get it. I know that NOW, and repeating the policy 3 times while I eat my cold dinner added insult to the list.
This was after deciding not to complain about the disgusting stains on the couch (see pic), the filthy rug and the dirty coffee maker.
I'm sitting in the room as I type, and I read other reviews stating similar issues. One person noted that the bottoms of their feet were black from walking around barefoot in the room. I looked at my feet. Sure enough...
I was asked by the front desk person not to write reviews because they are "committed to change", but these are the same issues they've had quite a while.
Good location, but this is definitely a "lipstick on a pig" property that's overpriced and comically wants another $8 for the bottle of water in the room and $30 for the $6 bottle of wine in the fridge. Seriously, stay anywhere else.

Dear Lisa, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the disappointing aspects of your recent stay at The Elser Hotel. Your experience does not reflect the high standards we strive to maintain, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. We will be sharing your feedback with our bellman team to ensure greater clarity and consistency in the information provided to our guests. Many of our guests take advantage of our full kitchens by having groceries delivered directly to their rooms when accompanied by the guest. This may have caused some confusion regarding delivery protocols, and we apologize for the misunderstanding and the inconvenience it caused. Regarding the in-room amenities, we want to highlight that all of our suites feature full kitchens, complete with a filtered water dispenser built into the refrigerator. Additionally, each room is stocked with glassware, plates, cups, and utensils to provide the convenience and comfort of home. We are proud to offer unlimited filtered water and sustainable glassware as part of our commitment to both guest convenience and environmental responsibility. The cleanliness issues you mentioned are of serious concern to us. We are thoroughly reviewing these matters with our housekeeping team to ensure our rooms reflect the highest standards of comfort and hygiene for every guest. We are committed to addressing these issues and ensuring every guest experience reflects the quality that The Elser Hotel is known for. Our Front Office Manager, Natalier Santiago, would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly and discuss any further concerns you may have. He can be reached at nsantiago@TheElserHotel.com. We truly hope you will consider giving us the chance to provide you with the exceptional experience that so many of our guests enjoy. Sincerely, The Elser Hotel & Residences Miami

I stayed for 14 days and the location is perfect! We stayed in an apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and complete kitchen, equipped with dishwasher and also with washing machine and drying clothes. The space was amazing! The apartment was new, modern, spacious and beautiful.
But the cleaning... terrible! They only did it every two days, and still, anyway. Often they didn't even change the towels, and we had to ask for the app. There were days when, even asking, no one showed up. This made me angry, because with a child it becomes difficult to stay without cleaning, without changing towels, bed linen and without taking out the trash.
The sofa and armchairs in the room were dirty, full of stains and dust. I had to fold the rug and hide it under the couch because it was giving allergies to my son and my husband.
The bath towels were tiny and nothing soft. To make it worse, I went to the pool and there was no towel available for the guests, as they had run out. I had to use my bathroom and then I didn't get another cleaner to dry. They left only one towel per guest and almost never changed.
The reception was a real chaos! Always crowded, with few employees to meet. Also, they didn't find the purchases we had made over the internet!
And the valet? Horror! I ended up waiting half an hour for the car, even being with my two-year-old son. And when the car finally arrived, instead of delivering at the side of the hotel (which would be much faster), they gave a round in the quarter to deliver in front. It took even longer! Not to mention that some employees were super poorly educated.
After all, the hotel had everything to be perfect, but urgently needs to improve in the cleanliness and organization of the staff. There is a lack of good governance.
The view from the apartment was beautiful! I stayed on the 45th floor.

This experience was not great. The staff are incredible, nice, proficient and attentive; however, the hotel is not. The towels are thinner and smaller than the 1-ply toilet paper used. The maintenance use the hallways (directly across from my room) as storage and not inside the actual storage, laundry or maintenance door. There were piles of housekeeping and maintenance supplies everywhere. The pool was closed early due to weather which means the only restaurant they have on property was also closed early. So, after a 5:30 pm check in, we had nowhere to eat inside the property and had to leave in the down pouring rain to go find food elsewhere. I was charged a $65 daily resort fee for internet that didn’t work properly, towels that were smaller than the mat used stand on when you get out of the shower, and toilet paper thinner than tissue paper. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles in the shower were around 25% full reminding you of all the people who have used this shower and those products before you. The valet’s “system went down” making me wait more than 40 minutes for my vehicle after sending the request and receiving an automatic text it would be ready in 15 minutes. The best kicker, the lobby bathroom was completely out of soap and toilet paper at 7:20am when we went to check out. This one night from 5:30 pm check-in to a 7:20 am check out was $327.27. Absolutely terrible. Do not stay here unless you have an event at Kaseya and need the location. We decided to do things differently this time and enjoy this side of town and we got burned.
