When you stay here you also have access to all the facilities at this complex. The Marriott also has food and beverage venues for use by Courtyard guests that can be charged to your room with a signature. There is also a shared pool area with new lounge chairs (I pointed out the old chairs in bad condition in a prior review of the Marriott). The room was functional and clean. The bed was comfortable. The airport shuttle service was efficient. One drawback to staying at the Courtyard instead of the Marriott is the M Club lounge for elite status guests is only available for Marriott guests.
There is not a single reason to suggest going elsewhere if near the airport. Check-in was streamlined. The bar/restaurant was very good. Room, bathroom, etc...all almost perfect. Seriously, if you will be near the airport, this is a fantastic place to stay.
I check in as a Marriott Elite Gold member not sure what that status is worth but apparently with my profile requesting high floor here 2nd qualifies. I love being booked into the room right across from the elevator and as an extra bonus the elevator landing is used as their make shift closet with room attendant cart, and several other equipment carts. The room had someone recently smoking in it and the half window looking out to the wall and parking lot was an extra nice touch. I walk down to the restaurant to be greeted by hostess who was pleasant and nice. Asked to be sat at a high top and hostess said of course. The server was apparently to busy to acknowledge me. She walked by six different times twice directly at the table next to mine to take his order and then deliver his two beers but couldn’t turnaround to say hi, bye, I’ll be right with you…..she did have time to visit two other tables and pick up three checks two off empty tables. And hurray for me this was my 50th stay for the year now I’m Platinum😂🤣…
I usually enjoy my stay at this hotel. However, two things affected my overall experience. First of all, I was sent to a room that was not made. The bed sheet was ruffled up and the bathroom towels were used. A new room was given to me which fixed the situation. However, this was an inconvenience as I was checking in at 2 am and was already tired. The second thing which disappointed me was I waited over 40 minutes to collect an Amazon package which was delivered the day before, despite having to catch a flight. I was even told that packages were not important at that time due to some other matter. I'm not sure what can be more important than ensuring that I don't miss my flight. I don't get that experience with packages at other hotels.
At 1am we arrived via their shuttle and wondered what was up when it was taking forever to check us in and others were milling about. Then a nurse walks down and says you gave me a key and I just walked into an occupied room. The line grew longer. After 30 more minutes the clerk told us there were no rooms for anyone. Yelling ensued. Then we had to pay $40 to have a txi get us and our 2 kids at 2am to drive from hotel to hotel to find a room finally at 3am. Never again. Even the locals here know that is the Marriott Courtyard way as they hear it on there end. Save time, headache, and your sanity. We still aren't even sure if they actually canceled the reservation or if our card will be charged.
I arrived at the Courtyard safely, the driver of the hotel is lazy he didn't even bother to bring the luggage with me and i insisted to drop me off at courtyard not in Marriott entrance i was exhausted because of the flight, Special mention to the guest relations representatives CARLOS and HENRY are very accommodating. They assist me with everything i need tho there was a bit mix up of room numbers because theres a lot of crew check-in which is understandable. These two are exceptional. The room is amazing as well, well cleaned and provided things i need for the night. Great experience!
Check in was extremely slow. Especially in the morning with long line up for checkin and out. Restaurant staff do not pay attention and people have been waiting for a very long for their orders. The property itself is in good condition and the fitness room is very good as well. Service can definitely be improved.
The room, lobby, pool and hot tub were clean and nice. The bed was comfy. Employees were helpful and friendly. Champions Sports Bar had good tasting food. Great hotel to stay at the night before a cruise. Will definently stay again.
All I can say is make sure that you go to the right hotel. There's 3 separate courtyard marriott's on this property. We went to the wrong one. I appreciate the help of the person at the front desk who helped us get to the right hotel and giving us the cart.
Hotel is fine for a stop- over. However it took 3 calls to Reception and nearly 8 hours for them to react to my calls that my daughters AirPods had been left in the room. We could see this from the tracking and have supplied evidence. In this time, whoever had been into the room to clean had ‘taken’ them and we were able to track the movement. Via the FB page, Loss Prevention got in touch and investigated and is now with Claims, so I am awaiting that update. Had Reception reacted to my 1st call, this would probably not have happened. Integrity and trust, there are many of these issues from reading the reviews. A real shame, as we often use Marriotts, usually Vacation Clubs, without problems. This leaves a bad taste.
