Had the best day ever at the W hotel thanks to Ricardo! If you go to the beach area, ask for Ricardo and Francisco, they are the nicest hosts ever and will take care of anything you need. Best service & best day
At $540 a night (wtf?) you're better off in an airbnb with zero amenities. Stayed in 908. SO MUCH STREET NOISE. Zero peace. Wallpaper peeling off, broken dresser, lamp with a broken shade, flickering creepy bathroom sconces with an obvious wiring issue. I had to ask the staff on day 1 of our stay to clean off about an inch of dust from the bathroom fan. Looked like a fur-creature living on the bathroom ceiling. Ugh. And that's just regarding the crappy outdated king room. Firstly: The W doesn't even own the pool or spa they so brazenly advertise. W guests are forbidden on the pool deck after sunset! Found out the hard way guests are also not allowed to simply carry luggage across the pool area to the spa EVEN if you're still paying ($400 for 2 massages) for the spa services. Lest we forget the absolutely psycho of a towel guy who literally screamed at my husband & me when we were making our way peacefully to our massages due to said UNWRITTEN zero-signage baggage rule. He also told us to SHUT UP when we told him we were just going to the spa. Fun/peaceful vibes right? No. Naturally I asked the W staff what the problem is with the AWFUL staff at the pool deck, and the W staff pawned off ALL blame onto a company called Icon (the actual owners of the pool/spa) What in the hell? Don't waste your hard earned $. This whole place needs a serious renovation and the perfume in the lobby almost choked my husband and me. Stay somewhere else.…
Had the best experience at the W, Ricardo really went above and beyond to make our experience worthwhile. The vibe at the pool was great. Food was delicious and overall a great stay Love it here Would highly recommend visiting when you’re in Miami Beach.
Amazing 8 nights stay! Loved so much the whole concept- avant-garde, pioneer design, colors, beautiful rooms/ grounds. Our favorite city- hotels - it’s 3d one after Santiago de Chile and Costa Rica . Always so stylish! Thank you very much to concierge- Brad and Hugo for arranging our holidays and all recommendations- you are stars! Excellent stay- highly recommended for any purpose of your journey!
Stayed here for two nights while on business in Miami. The hotel is nicely situated on Brickell--walking distance from a lot of conveniences. Note that there is a food truck circle just to the south of the hotel if you want something quick. The pools and the view on the 15th floor are fantastic-and if sun isn't your thing, there's shade available from the surrounding buildings. Linens on the bed and the bed itself are divine. Service from the staff was excellent. I'm not old, but the staff (maybe 20-years old?) working check-in really seemed to treat the job with less formality than one would expect for a hotel of this quality. The shower in my room flooded the bathroom with each use. Luckily the towels are plentiful, but showering made a mess.
The room was spacious, clean, and offered great views of the city. The staff was very professional and efficient. The rooftop bar serves delicious food and cocktails. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay, and we look forward to coming back soon.
I am lifetime Titanium with Marriot, and even with that high loyalty status this happens to me: My wife and I checked in around 5 pm and at soon as we arrive to the room we found the TV in volume 52 in a cartoon channel and there were no TV control on the room, I was sick with fever so the noise was particularly annoying for me and of course I immediately call whatever/whenever and request the control. The communication was not easy because the phone was not operating properly, and it was hard to listed or be listened but finally the gentlemen told me a TV remote will be delivered “right away” Around 20 minutes later still without the control I made a second phone call to whatever/whenever, this time a huge number of apologies were thrown and the promise that the control will be sent “immediately” After another 20 minutes I decided to go to the lobby to get the control, wanted also to leave the room because the high volume was making me crazy. At the lobby more apologies, an internal phone call and the confirmation that the TV remote is on the way, so they tell me I can return now to the room witch I do. After another 20 minutes in the room still without the control I asked my wife to go down and get it because I was not feeling ok for the fever. Her story in the Lobby exactly the same as mine (apologies, explanations, phone call, now you can leave) with the exception that she refused to leave the Lobby without the control, now she does not believe anything the W personnel tell her, so she wait there until finally the control was given to her, one hour and a half after the problem was reported, this is a shame!! The room service was another disastre, but was for another review…
Being a Titanium and Ambassador member over the past few years I have stayed at a ton of different Marriott properties. The W Brickell didn’t live up to the standard of many other W properties… The property is tired and in desperate need of a renovation. In my room, wallpaper was coming off the wall in multiple areas, the shower head was loose and unadjustable, fixtures were also loose. As far as service, the team was nice but sometimes not overly helpful. The restaurant seemed under staffed and took forever although I will say it was more of a staffing issue. The pool area was nice but the lounge chairs weren’t great and the service was EXTREMELY slow. Overall, there are other Marriott hotels in the area that I feel are better options.
The cool Corner room was amazing. Spacious and very nice view. I loved the room and the location it was amazing. Easy to walk to go shopping and to enjoy other things in Miami. I really enjoyed my stay. It has small park under the hotel. And you can easily walk to restaurants and shops.
Disappointing, not worth the money I've stayed here 3-4 times a year for the past few years, and it is disappointing to say the least. This hotel should be downgraded from a 5 star. They frequently overbook, leading to no punctual check ins (I was let into my room 1.5 hours after check in) They also took 3 hours to bring up our bags, lost one, and never answered the phone. I had to take 3x for toiletries (came a day later.) A man visiting from abroad who had pre paid checking out was charged twice. The front desk attendant gave an explanation that was so ludicrous it was hard to watch. Food takes one hour minimum to get to the adddikt restaurant (note it's clear management is understaffing, the people working there and for the most part at the hotel are warm and kind but being run ragged.) They didn't have bloody Marys or mimosas (???) Finally, good luck getting service at the pool deck. We were there for 3 hours and didn't have one person check in. I spent 1000/night for 2 star service. I'm sure they'll reply with a generic "we're so sorry and we've passed it along to the appropriate teams" which does nothing. As a titanium elite bonvoy member, will not stay here again. …
