Fairfield inn in Marathon FL I encountered At front desk Andre, true professional and great welcoming reception, Omar is another person that works there that makes one feel very comfortable, there’s a young lady Atashia is a very warm receptionist , very helpful, the Inn is a FIVE Star. Thanks. Place is clean and breakfast is very nutritious and delicious and the ladies that work in the kitchen are very thorough and helpful!
We chose Fairfield primarily because it was pet friendly and it looked nice. We loved the property and it’s location in Marathon. We only stayed one night but could have been comfortable staying longer. Our room was on the first floor across from the ice machine, but it wasn’t too noisy. The room was decorated so modern and light. We loved the decor and the furnishings. The bathroom had a great shower. The property was waterfront and there was a restaurant right there as well as across the street. There were also water activities, which we were not able to use. There was plenty of grass in which to walk our dog. Breakfast was sufficient - there were wrapped breakfast sandwiches and the normal things you would have with a continental breakfast. It was more than enough to eat. I have two suggestions. The pet fee was $75 per night, which was higher than I have ever seen. I understand a fee but that was a bit pricey. We would have stayed longer if that was a per stay fee instead of a per night. The second suggestion was another electrical outlet was needed on the right side of the bed. Fortunately it worked for me and hubby to switch sides. With so many people using CPap machines outlets are needed on both sides of the bed. All in all it was a great stay and we had a very comfortable night and were quite pleased. Great choice!…
Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida is excellent. Rooms are clean and modern.Morning free breakfast is healthy and delicious. Most important the staff is courteous, helpful and always welcoming. The pool is beautiful and so well maintained and the restaurant Sparkys has fabulous food and nightly entertainment. I will definitely come back in the future.Larry the front desk host greeted us on our arrival and has continued to give us good advice on areas to visit and attended to our needs along with the rest of the wonderful employees here. Thanks for making our vacation memorable!
$15 a day to park not included with your stay. The breakfast was ordinary motel6 continental, reheated frozen breakfast meat , cereal and assorted beagle. Not even a make it yourself waffle machine. I’d expect a decent breakfast for a $700 a night chain. But other then being way over priced for what you get. It was clean and decent to stay in. But I’ve had this same experience in $150 a night hotels.
Hotel room was a good size, with all the amenities you need. Bed was comfy. Room was noisy - could hear next door and doors slamming on the corridors. Don’t get a room overlooking the pool, it will be noisy. Breakfast was poor, with items often out of stock. No jam for the toast one day and was told they hadn’t had a delivery! Pool area was fine, pool nice and warm, with no difficulty finding loungers and shade. But bushes meant no view of the water. Lots of parking but $15 a day charge which was quite cheeky. Front desk staff were not friendly and treated requests/enquiries as if they were a huge inconvenience. Location is good and the on-site restaurant/bar is good.
We had a very good relation with customer service thanks to Danielle at the Mariott Fairfield Inn & suites !! The hôtel has a really great view, location and facilities :) The 2 option pools (sunset & sunrise) were also a big plus (with a heated pool as bonus)
This was our second stay at Fairfield inn in Marathon and could not have been any better. the hotel is spotless, by far one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in . costumer service is outstanding from management to housecleaning everybody went out of their way to make our trip one we will never forget we loved our room in the new building. rooms were very nice, and building seemed a little more quite. nice view from balcony. bottom line is you will be glad you chose this hotel. again, I would like to thank Danille S. and her entire staff for their great customer service, something that is missing so often nowadays.
We stayed in room 318 on New Year’s Eve. The hotel was full. We checked in and heard a high frequency squeal every time our neighbor in 320 turned on a faucet or worse took a shower. The manager said they had never had any other complaints. Who knows how many other rooms have these plumbing problems. They denied any discount. Beware any “haunted rooms”. You get no help.
Suppose you love seafood, sun, and beautiful walking places to explore the keys. If you are a painter or into photography, you can find all kinds of blues. Fishing and exploring the ocean are costly. Hotel stays in the keys are expensive. So book it off season. If you are like me with kids, you have to pay the price. So record the memories and enjoy eating seafood and walking.
Based on the nightly rate, there is a lot of room for improvement. I hope this “to do” list assists the hotel owner/operator in addressing items. * Better quality mattresses (current mattresses are very soft - or showing wear due to low quality) * Add more pool-side lounge chairs * Equip rooms with refrigerators that MAKE things cold (eg are capable of COOLING seltzer cans) - rather than a “refrigerator” that can “only keep cold items cool” pet staff. * Provide more hooks in room (or shower hanging line) in room for guests to hang switmsuits/UV shirts/wet items * Add more hangars in closet (6 hangers provided - perhaps provide 10-15?) * Provide kitchen utensils in rooms * Make pool towels available at the pool * Drinkable AM coffee; eliminate dreck served * Provide brewed (drinkable) decaf coffee at breakfast * Remove bolt so window in room can open, (with locked screen?) * Provide larger trash cans in rooms - especially needed if room not serviced daily * Provide larger (usable) plastic laundry bags * Provide bedside electrical outlets / USB ports that work (to charge personal electrical items) — ours were non-functioning * Repair broken treadmill in gym * Repair broken peloton bike petal in gym * Repair broken ice machine on level 3 * Room cleaning service daily - for price guests are paying seems financially viable * Consider changing/improving yogurt provided breakfast (other than Trix yogurt for kids)…
