You can launch a boat here into narrow canal fullof vegetation on the water. The kayaks are OK but you get half the mangrove inside your boat and its hard to navigate the entrance to the bay because of the debris in the canal. Staff were helpful enough and grab and go breakfast was fine although why there is no restaurant dining there was not apparent. Like everywhere the excuse is Covid. the pool was OK. Barely value for money but we got used to it., Blinds in poor state and the sooner they get on with replacing them, the better.
Pro: Nice, modern room with refrigerator, microwave and garden terrace with table where you could relax. Free use of bicycles and canoes. Con: We were in room 104 and the windows could not be closed "hermetically". The complex is on a busy road, US 1 with a lot of traffic that doesn't stop until late and starts very early in the morning. Need earplugs to sleep. Loud air conditioning. From 4 o'clock you will be awakened by roosters. Breakfast is Grab & Go, consisting of a can of apple juice, a box of oatmeal, a muffin, orange and a yogurt that you can pick up at the reception from 8 am.

Because it was within 60 days. When I told her we lived in Venice Fl. And we were hit pretty much head on by Hurricane Ian. And our county was in a state of emergency. She said quote "I'm sorry. But we don't control the weather ". I pray Coconut Cay Resort never gets hit by a hurricane. If they do I pray everyone who has a reservation during that time demands they still honor their reservation. Because "We do not control the weather "either. And you probably will rent our room out. And get paid double for the room. You will reap what you sow. God bless and stay safe. …
I can't say enough about this place. We absolutely loved it. I am a very picky person when it comes it staying at motels since I am OCD. This place is very clean, super cute and the staff is amazing. Definitely congrats to stay here again. They have there own boat launch, free kayaking, BBQ grill, nice pool area.and fish cleaning area
We spent 4 days in there. Nice and cheerful staff. The rooms were clean and the bathroom too. I would recommend it to everybody that goes down to the Keys! The only thing I would change is the "to-go" breakfast.
My brother has a good pal named Bob that waits tables at steak and lobster house and we asked him the best resort were we could bring our boat down and stay there and he told us to stay at coconut cay. We are from Yankeetown Florida like bob and you should ask for him at steak and lobster. My family thanks you for tipping correctly tip good in marathon and Eddie is kewl. This nice cat followed us around thanks bob
We only stayed one night as we were on our way to Key West (wish we could of stayed longer) ! This is a great place ( more of a ma and pa) from the people when you check in really nice (answered any questions including where to eat...Key Fisheries...on water and reasonable). Nice updated rooms with toiletries and 2 nice chairs on the balcony! Great warm pool....free bikes, fishing poles, kayaks, paddleboards to use ! Dock for your boat if needed. Nice pick and go breakfast (oatmeal...orange...yogurt...muffin..apple juice). Coffee machine, microwave, small refrig in your room ! Would stay there again ! Go see the turtle hospital down the road if you have time !
Old school Florida hotel. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. We didn't take advantage of the bagged breakfast, but it looked good. We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay. We would return again.
Clean, friendly, reasonable, there are docks available for your boat They have kayaks also to use it no charge. Our room had a split AC instead of an old window shaker unit which was so nice in the summer. The showers were typical keys low pressure sprinkling. It was clean and you already understand water conservation if you stayed in the keys before. I will stay again
This is a wonderful place to stay! The woman at the front office was extremely accommodating and wonderful! She gave us great information on the local restaurants and the weather. The kayaks, paddleboard, and bike rentals were included with our stay. While we were out on paddleboards, my husband and I saw three manatees in the canal next to the hotel. The room was clean and cool.
