If you’re coming to the keys to relax, you’ll want to avoid this stops. Disgusting. When we checked in the office was being tented and you could smell the chemicals in rooms. Wi-Fi? No such luck - unless you leave your room and hang out by the laundry. Loud at night with people carousing outside rooms. A huge disappointment - and not cheap.
My wife, brother-in-law, 2 friends & I stayed for 4 nights - great location for visiting the islands - good clean rooms, friendly staff and priced well for being in the Keys - no restaurant or tiki bar, but some good ones in the area. We have booked there last 2 years and will probably book again in the future. Has a pool and a marina.
this is a good pit stop en route to key west, and one of the more affordable places at under $200 per night. room is nice and clean. check in/out straightforward. wifi is a little unreliable, keep getting cut out. there is a laundry room onsite too i believe.
Great location, friendly staff, spacious rooms and in the keys. What more could you ask for?!?! It was fun just to walk by their marina and see all of the very cool boats. I also loved that there is only one floor, you park right outside your door. It is great when you are going in and out all day!! Will definitely go back!!
We had booked to stay here to do some snorkeling off Marathon, unfortunately came down with COVID the day before. Management refused a refund. Of course they are just following the booking conditions, but some sympathy could have been shown.
Very nice, quaint, cottage-like hotel on the water. They have a walkway next to the water and you can put your boat in the water there. Lots of sea life around seawall near walkway. We saw a shark and manatee near the boat docks too.
Older motel, burned out overhead light & bathroom light. The floors were dirty, both of our socks / footies got dirty. Crack in shower stall floor. It did have guest shampoo /bath soap. A/c was efficient, not really a beach there, just a place to view sunset. We used the pool, it was adequate. No pool towels. Has a small fridge, sm. Freezer area, sm. Microwave. Beds were very soft, not much support.
Room was updated and spacious. Parking was free and outside the room. Staff at check in were prompt and friendly. Resort has an outdoor pool for guests along with a barbecue area. There was a small but very awesome beach near the marina that Guest could access. We were able to sit on the beach and watch the sunset. This is a great place for a quiet tonight.
Clean room, friendly service, reasonable price (a rare thing in the Keys), wonderful beach area, area to bbq, great management and close to a lot of what you go to the keys for, They go out of their way to make their guests feel at home, I would highly recommend The Blackfin,
Stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of July. The staff were pleasant, and distanced socially. My room was clean, free of debris, and dirt. I had a brand new A/C unit in my room, and the WIFI was good. it went down for about an hour one afternoon, and i was able to work around it. The bad reviews out here were concerning, but I had a really good experience. It's definitely not the Waldorf Astoria, but if you're looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in the keys, this is your place.
