We spent 1 day there but this place will be remembered. Room is large and comfortable. 1 bedroom plus living area with kitchen, sofa, and TV. Sea view. Garden in front of a pier. Private pool. We had dinner facing the sea.

I wasn't sure what to expect since I have never been to the Keys before. Everything was pricey and things that were no had bad reviews. Our room is nicely appointed with a full refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The room was spotlessly clean and everything worked well. The view was fantastic (included in review)! Included in the room price is use of a bicycle, kayak and paddle board! I did use the kayak and it was great fun. I did have 2 issues (The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating): 1.) The bed is a queen mattress on a frame that is not a queen - the bed overhang on one side making it uncomfortable. 2.) The room is not well isolated from the unit next door which means you hear every word said in the next room. Even with that I would not hesitate to return to Captain Pips, I may just ask for another room (I was in Bonefish).…

We stayed for a girls trip. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. It’s a good location to do stuff there in marathon or drive to key west. There are a lot of problems with the electrical outlets. The one in the bathroom you couldn’t plug in a hair dryer. We had to dry our hair at the dining room table while holding the plug in with our foot because it would fall out. Dishes are provided but there’s only the bathroom sink to wash them in. Overall good value for the money.

Went on the snorkeling and private island boat tour. The boat crew was pleasant. The boat ride was nice. The snorkeling was probably worth the trip. However, the island was not worth it. It was a very small island with very little shade, some canoes and paddleboards and next to a busy causeway. If you want to take the snorkeling tour, it is probably priced right. The island tour with lunch was not worth it!

We enjoyed a great snorkeling trip with Captain Booker and his first mate. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. Great music on the boat. The ocean was very choppy but we still made it to the reef and saw many beautiful fish. I even swam with a sea turtle. Overall, my family had a super day.

Spirit 3 snorkeling was a fun trip to sombrero reef. Lots of fish and plenty of coral to see. Friendly staff were helpful and took care of the needs of everyone on the boat. Fun trip all around. Wish they had taken us to a more shallow place where everything is closer to the snorkelers. They get 4 starts for telling people to check in 45 min early. Took 10 min to check in and we sat in the sun for 50 min. Barely any shade. We left late because they waited for a family that was late. They said they would not do that. Not fair for those who arrived 45 min early.

Terrific experience; Captain Pat and First Mate Luke we’re all we could have asked for and more. The snorkeling on the reef was spectacular, playing on private island Money Key was the greatest- we found a baby octopus and he held my hand…. A bucket list item I didn’t even know I had was fulfilled. Highly recommend, and if you can, request Pat and Luke - they were beyond amazing!! (Boss- these two deserve a raise!)

I was expecting more of Captain Pips from the photos. They seem to have been concentrating more on their new shop than the upkeep of the areas outside the rooms plus not all the rooms have been updated. Ours was particularly old fashioned and the kitchen area probably hadn’t been changed in twenty years, or more. Very poor considering the amount charged for it.

Affordable lodging in the Keys, ocean right outside our window. Accommodations were clean and price was very very reasonable. Friendly and helpful staff. Grills provided which we did use one night . Location was convenient, not far from Key West.
