My boyfriend and I stayed here when we were bouncing around the Keys in December and loved it here! It was a cheaper option but found it really a lovely quiet place to stay. It also has grounds for RVs, and the motel itself is very small- maybe 10-15 rooms max. The check in was quick and easy, I think the owner leaves at night with no reception available. It was within walking distance of several bars and restaurants but far enough off that there wasn’t a lot of people near the motel. It also has a small pool that you can access as well. We liked it a lot here!
Clean, quiet and confortable Rooms are nice Wifi hardly working in 201 (even outside). A good stop to enjoy the way back from key west for those not in hurry 30 minutes walk from sunset park Parking in front of the rooms Host was friendly Kitchen with dishes to prepare own breakfast
We love Bonefish RV and we come back every winter. This year 2022 there are new owners and employees. One employee that we have recognized as John has been exceptionally helpful with everyone. I have personally seen John go above and beyond his normal duties. He works day and night no matter if he is on the clock or not. I completely appreciate his demeanor with public relations.
Florida keys are expensive, but we spent nights in several other hotels of the same price category in this region. Definitely, bonefish was the worst experience. We paid nearly 500$ for two nights. First of all, the good things: the room was spacious. What we didn’t like: * you open the door of the room for the first time, you immediately realise there is a strong musty smell. You will encounter this sensation anytime you re-enter the room. * the broken shower knob. You want to take a shower, pray! With some luck you manage to turn on the water and adjust the temperature. In the end it needs again luck to turn off the water. Just spent several minutes and you may find a position where the water stops. Our complaint after the first night did not lead to any improvements. * wifi weak and unstable * room was not ready when we arrived at check-in time (we asked for a discount and got it) * we booked the room as it was equipped with a kitchenette. A few more knives and forks and so on would be nice. * one more example that simply shows the low maintenance level. Out of 3 light bulbs in the floor lamps, one was missing and one didn’t work. Overall, the stay was a very bad experience for us. It is not well-maintained. The place is not lovely. Do not go there!…
Nice kitchen and room overall. Nice staff. There are barbecue and picnic facilities outside and a dock if you have a boat. The pool closes at sunset but looked nice. And they had a laundry machine and ice machine. Pretty bare bones otherwise, looked more like an RV park and located on the side of the busy highway. Not walkable to restaurants really.
The motel is fairly new and the rooms are spacious and very clean. Plenty of room on the grounds to walk around. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Very nice quiet atmospher. Has a dock, RV spots, and a laundry area, with shower, Pet friendly even for bigger pups. We will return!
Family trip. Visiting several places in Florida. Headed to keys and needed a good place to use as a base to head out. Booked 2 rooms. This place is a hidden gem. Clean room. Tile floor. Very spacious. Good shower. Owner Mark, I believe was very accommodating and helpful. Not the grand Hilton but worth every dollar. We had a roku TV in room which was a little frustrating but came in late each day and didn't watch much. Typical wall unit ac and adequate to cool room off. Several rvs in other side of lot but rv'ers are usually very respectful and no issues at all concerning hotel. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Thx Bonefish bay!
This RV park was a great family location when fishing and water activities are the focus. We rented a boat and was able to dock the boat at the RV dock. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The RV park is located for a short trip to many of the beaches or attractions. We had a great 11 days.
My 18 year old son planned an away weekend for him and his girlfriend. After driving 6 hours they weren't allowed to check in to the hotel they booked because he's a "child.".Being 12 hours away, because I was out of town, I called Bonefish Bay and talked to a lady. After explaining what was going on she said she would absolutely give him a room. The 2 "children" that checked in were ecstatic. Between the lady at check in, the room, and everything else that went with their getaway weekend I would recommend this place to anyone. Come to find out it's a wife and husband who run it. Btw, When i called her I told her his name and when he walked in she made them feel welcomed.
We stayed in our RV for most of the time and the hotel for one night. The owner is great and laid back. We came in late so we took care of the paperwork the following day. The bathroom/ shower house was only one toilet/ stall but it was clean, spacious and newly remodeled. Seems like the whole facility was remodeled after the hurricane and it shows. Wifi was good. RV site offered 50/ 30/ and 20 amp hookups with water and sewer. We stayed one night in a room so we could get an early start. The rooms are also new looking. The bed was a bit hard for our liking but clean. The restroom was clean and everything worked. The room had a kitchenette for making food and a small table with 2 chairs. We arrived and stayed in the off season so our experience may not be the same as others when the place is busy. There were two restaurants in walking distance that were very good.…
