This is a wonderful hotel, I. Think the best in Marathon, Florida. The desk staff was friendly and the maid’s were so helpful and did a great job of cleaning our room,and getting us anything we needed. The registration manager Angel was so nice, he made sure we got the room we wanted and went out of his way to make our stay the best ever. We will be going back next year for an even longer stay. The pool was warm you could walk right in. They have two tiki bars one at the pool and another on the property by the marina. Awesome place! Can’t wait for next year!

What a great find! We stumbled in with no reservation and we were thrilled with what we found…especially for the price! Room was clean & modern…shower was huge and beautiful…little balcony overlooked the Marina and water…pool was AMAZING and massive!! Staff were all super nice and helpful…WELL DONE ALL OF YOU!!!

We stayed at Banana Bay Resort for a 5 day stay. Absolutely great accommodations, beautiful view of the bay area. The pool and hot tub area was excellent, the bed was VERY COMFORTABLE. They had updated the room from last year and some of the construction could use some touch-up. The room was cleaned and tidied up daily , they are very helpful with any issue that may occur. I dealt with Angel on the phone for making reservations, and in person for checking in and checking out, he was VERY professional, helpful and honest. He guided us to several interesting places to visit, recreation, and food. He definitely made our stay effortless.... We would definitely recommend this resort to family and friends.

lost a star for the excessive use of plastic, everything is wrapped. Want an apple at breakfast, its wrapped in plastic, a cup of coffee, plastic. After leaving we tried to call to check on something we thought we might have left in the room, but could not get through. Also contributing to the lost star is the practice to charging a $45 daily resort fee to make the room price seem low. Its still a decent deal but a bit manipulative. The grounds, however, are beautiful. lots of plants. The bar is right on the water and also beautiful. The room was clean. I would stay again but would upgrade the room to one with a view. The "garden" view is actually the "parking lot" view.

I originally paid $218.00 for my room reservation and stayed at Banana Bay for one night. The room was fine and in good condition. Upon checking out my charges were $356.00. They charge a $45 destination fee for services even if you do not use them which I was aware of because of a sign posted near the front desk. However, the manager whose name is Angel checked me in when i arrived early and put a $50 early check-in fee and never told me there would be a fee! There were also two "room upgrade" charges when I never requested a room upgrade! Angel hid charges and never informed me of them. They are definitely running a shady and deceitful business at Banana Bay. I even brought these items up upon checking out and because "there was no manager there" they could not remove the charges. I was told Angel the manager would arrive later, and I called back several times only to be given excuses. I asked for his email and wrote him three times! Angel Never responded. So, now I'm here having to give this resort the poorest of the poor reviews because of their bad business practices. Save yourself some grief and go to the Fairfield Inn or Courtyard in Marathon, FL where they have beautiful resorts and practice good business.…

We stayed one night on our drive through the heys. The bar area was amazing. The bartender, Cletus, was fun to chat with and was friendly with adults and kids alike. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but staff delivered our room key to us at the bar. The room was spacious, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom was adequate. We just wish we would have stayed longer.

Banana Bay Resort and Marina is our new boater’s haven in Marathon Key. The resort has been completely renovated and delightful. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. The cleanliness is impeccable and the beds and showers are great- plus the decor is airy and pretty- perfect for the Keys. We can’t rave enough about the staff! Angel Rivera, the front desk manager treated us like family and Ana Quinones provided excellent service and made many good recommendations for places to dine. The resort offers great prices and has a boat ramp onsite and boat slips that are easily accessible and extremely convenient for getting in and out of the beautiful ocean efficiently. Doris the boat master was quite helpful and friendly and we appreciated the trailer parking on property. The resort has a large, really nice pool, and kayaks, bikes and outdoor games and bbqs are included in the resort fee. There’s a little bar overlooking the water that boasts wonderful sunset views as well. Banana Bay is centrally located- minutes away from all Marathon restaurants and attractions. It’s obvious that this family-owned resort is well managed by the General Manager. We look forward to returning time and time again.…

Booked two nights at banana bay and it did not disappoint. This was my first time staying ant Banana Bay and I look forward to staying back in the future. The property is closed to state parks and restaurants. The bed was comfortable, and the room and property were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I went to dry tortugas national park and was originally going to book in key west, but I am happy I booked at Banana Bay :) It was peaceful and relaxing… away from crowds and key west noise. Highly recommend!

Room was clean. Breakfast is a poor name for the “box bagel and juice). But $45 resort fee andforthings you won’t use if your busy, bike are short term, Then they insult you with fee extra fee in case you steal something. So add $55 totheir room rate.
