I will start with the positives: This hotel was in a great location, was fairly priced, and had a beautiful dock. Here are the negative: We stayed here because the website said they had free paddle boards to use. My friend went into the office to rent a paddle boards and they said they were at the beach and the paddles were just out the office door. We were confused because the only paddles were kayak paddles, but the person in the office said we needed to use those paddles with the paddle board. So off we went to the beach to use the paddle boards….however we couldn’t find the paddle boards. We walked back to the office and asked again about the paddle boards and then were told that they don’t have any paddle boards. Argh! We chose to stay here because we like to paddle board. I suggest getting more paddle boards or taking it off your website.…
So the Drift Hotel is a fun place to stay. It has its own small beach and a covered pier for catch and release. Snorkeling gear, kayaks, and bicycles are free if you trade your ID during use. The bay area is busy and jet skis and boats come in and out. Looks to be a public boat ramp next to the property. This is fun to watch but also something to be aware of when swimming. Accommodations were clean, but not extravagant. Views are beautiful. Lounge chairs and picnic tables are all included. Overall, a nice stay at a beautiful spot.
What a wonderful surprise to drive in and feel secluded, off the beaten path lovely retreat. Low key is just what we wanted, hotel manager was so helpful and informative and friendly staff. It was super clean, grounds were kept tidy. The waterfront was relaxing and floaties were a bonus. We drifted around in the waters for hours. Restaurants around were accessible and easy to find. I LOVE LOVE this quaint find! Highly recommend. If you want room service this is not your place, if you want to feel like a throw back family summer vacation, with an ice chest then this is your stop!
This is a small quaint hotel. It’s a older hotel with great improvement to the rooms. A beautiful sunset a few yards away on a nice beach. Kayaks & bikes just check them out at the desk. The employees are great and friendly, free internet but it sucks, they do have door issues. But feed a squirrel and you’ll probably see a iguana or two
Stayed here 4 days in March 2021. Ammenties nice, room clean. But bed was awful. It sat so high we both had hard time getting in and out of it. And it was hard as a rock. Our backs both hurt everyday. Couldnt sleep at all.
