Had a great long weekend at the Seafarer with my family. Loved the breakfast frittatas and coffee each morning, freshly baked cookies by the beach each afternoon, and the tiki torches lit/extinguished each evening. Would return again. Great spot for a low key, relaxing

My family and I rented one of the apartments at Seafarer. It was very clean and comfortable. The grounds are very well maintained, the small beach on the bay side is great for small kids and those that want a peaceful location to soak in the sun! This was our second visit and

I would think so, very relaxed place. You should look at the photos on TripAdvisor to get an idea of the property if you're not familiar with the Keys and what these small motels are like. This one is bayside.

Is there boat dockage for small boat?
I remember small boats there....and their website says "Dockage available for registered guests - email or call for details"

It's not rocky and is generally calm on the bayside where this motel is. water is clear. Like all of the Keys, especially bayside, there is some sea grass. I happily go in and also use their kayaks. There are lots of pictures on their tripadvisor page showing the beach and water at the motel. You might want to look carefully at them. Depending on when and just general luck sometimes/rarely there are jellyfish...but then they are also found everywhere. I've seen plenty of people snorkeling around there, floating, etc. Don't expect big wide beaches like at Daytona or St. Pete anywhere in the Keys. If you take the time to get a little familiar with the Keys before you go it will help. I'd say it's a good place for kids to play and you can also visit other water access points in the Keys for different types of beach.
