The resort is amazing it has a couple beaches and pools. The rooms are nice and spacious, do some need some TLC maybe but they are still well appointed. The water at the beach is very warm and calm great for small children. They clean the beach area even when there is a lot of people. The staff at the front desk where not the best but nothing bad either. We will come back som other time.

Hotel's Favorite
Absolutely loved our stay here! This was my favorite place we stayed in all of the Florida Keys. Our room was in the hammock wing and had a balcony facing the trees so no view but it was facing the water. The property is paradise found. Beautiful paths through the hammock trees and to secret beach areas. The kayaks and SUPs are free for guests to use. It's kind of done on an honor system, first come-first serve, you just keep an eye out for someone bringing one back in and go ask them if they're done with it and then you have it to take out for an hour. The best swimming beach is here too right in front of the hotel so we only used the pool at night. The Tiki Bar at the beach offers drinks and delicious food. There's a ping pong table in front of the Hammock Wing for more fun in the evenings after dinner. We loved every minute of our stay at Bakers Cay!

I’m writing this review as I’m currently still at the hotel and from the very start our experience with this hotel has been pretty bad. When we arrived we weren’t greeted as I would expect from a luxury resort. On top of that my husband had arranged to surprise me with flowers, wine and chocolate to be brought up to our room and the girl at the front desk just handed me a box with flowers inside completely ruining the surprise my husband had set up for our 10 year wedding anniversary. With it being our anniversary trip no one at the desk wished us a happy anniversary nor was there any kind of special note from the hotel. (Unlike what is shown on the hotels Instagram and just based on the many previous Hilton’s stays on our anniversary we have always at minimum gotten some kind of happy anniversary note.) Considering we are diamond Hilton members this was an extra disappointment. To top it off this hotel attracts belligerent drunk people. I just witnessed a family with children mooning, peeing in the ocean, using multiple f bombs and trying to hurt stings rays in the ocean. They were also being extremely loud at 10pm at night and not a single hotel employee came out to address the issue even though this was in plain view of at least 2 employees. On another occasion, a dead 30+ year old starfish (staff had shown off previously at the beach) was dead rotting in a stairwell later the same day. We had also requested to be upgraded and I understand that can’t always happen but we tried again today after seeing that we could book a better room online for our last two days and they told us they were all booked. Again, being a diamond member we are supposed to get upgrades when available so this was disappointing. The amenities at this hotel are very nice and the food is good but doesn’t make up for all the other issues this hotel has which is good customer service.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms in coconut wing that isn’t facing water. It’s just a view of the parking lot.

Stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary, very enjoyable crowd (not crazy or drunk college kids), lots of amenities on properties and the best food on Key Largo. Staff was great and the property lived up to the expectations I saw online.

I just got back from my stay at Baker's Cay yesterday (7/20/21). Please if you have an infant, read my review before you decide on this resort as your vacation destination. We have a 10 month old baby, and love to travel. This trip was a real eye opener on what you may want/need if you plan on having a successful vacation. 1- Key Largo is a boating and diving destination. If you do not plan on doing either of those activities, or have an infant that may keep you from doing those activities, this may not be the location for you. That isn't Baker Cay's fault, so I didn't factor that into this score, but wanted to mention it. 2- An abundance of stairs in this resort and poorly maintained/very slow elevators that are shared with staff. 1 Elevator per wing of hotel that is most often being used for the large towel or cleaning cart. When you have a lot of gear (stroller, baby, etc), sets of stairs that are 6+ are challenging or impossible and there aren't ramps where you need them in this resort. There are none from either wing to the beach or trail area, you have to circle around the entire hotel to get there with a stroller. 3- NOISE at night. Probably my hugest issue with this stay. There were 3 huge back to back weddings during our stay. Our room was in the coconut wing on the 4th floor oceanview, and the wedding venue is in the adjacent building on the 3rd. There was extremely loud music and people yelling & partying all night long into the wee hours of the morning. I hope they had a great time, but this was NOT ideal with a baby. Sound proofing really lacks in this building and we were not pleased at all by this. Thank god for the sound machine we brought, but could still hear it over that clear as day. 4- Cleaning services. We were told they can clean your room ANYTIME between 8 am and 8 pm. That's an insane window to me especially when you are in the room a lot with a baby. When we did get the room cleaned once during our whole stay, they didn't even clean the sand off the floor or remove the glasses that were used from the room. As mentioned we travel a lot, and I don't know what they did aside from making the bed. 5- Drinks/Food. There aren't many places in the area we saw that looked appealing to eat. Maybe you'll have better luck than we did, but regarding resort dining, it was just OK. I ordered my signature drink juice and vodka daily on the trip, and there were a couple times it had a rotten taste or a strong cucumber taste- which was bizarre. My suspicion is they are not thoroughly cleaning the glasses, which is pretty gross and annoying since it's $14 a drink for a single shot of Tito's. 6- Beach Areas & Pool. This hotel has 2 pools (but one is 18+ only), and two beach areas. The hammock and coconut side. The hammock side was dead silent and only has as few sets of chairs and very "quiet couples" atmosphere. We didn't feel at ease their with our noisey baby and didn't want to disturb others. The other side is a PARTY zone with a few scattered families. With a baby, neither side seemed to fit our wants/needs. The pool was the best bet with baby but the child inclusive side was rather small and does NOT have the fancy waterfall which is located on the 18+ side. There is a bar at the pool which is nice. 7- Broken Items. We had 2 lamps that did not work in our room at all. We also had side tables with usb/plubs, and one of those also did not work at all. That's annoying in a resort of this price range. We also asked for a baby crib, and they provided a pack n play which looked extremely dirty (our baby is teething and she kept trying to chew on the side of it which was unpreventable and gross). Bring cleaning wipes for sure if you come here with a standing baby, or buy a pack n play on your way in from Walmart (~$50 and worth it). There are only a couple outdoor showers by the beach area, and the one on the coconut side does not work at all. They also have a serious giant sand bee issue (they are EVERYWHERE on the coconut beach side), which needs to be addressed. They leave you alone if you don't bother them but they will try to lay on you if sunbathing and are generally just a nuisance. To sum it up, this may be a good location for you if you are a couple with no children or singles looking to have a party atmosphere. I was not pleased with this location for my family, and disappointed with cleanliness & layout of the facilities for the price. We travel a lot and stay at 4-5 star hotels, and this just felt more like a 3 star which should be labeled as "adults only" for the atmosphere and included features. Hope this helps other parents! Good luck!
