I’d rather stay in Airbnb for the 2k I paid for the stay. Poor cleanliness, sweat in the gym on machines and floor. Dust. Maids cleaned everyday but still found things from guest previous stay. They need better cleaning staff.
I thought the hotel was well maintained. The rooms were clean and well furnished. Seemed updated - nice streamlined interior design. I love that each room has a microwave and fridge. It's very handy to be able to get food from a grocery store instead of a restaurant. The hotel has created a great little "beach" area with a nice looking tiki bar by the water. Apparently, manatees can often be seen here, although I didn't see any during my stay. But then I wasn't at the hotel much! The one odd thing is that if you have a room with a balcony, the light installed there stays on the whole night and the only way to not get disturbed by the light is to draw the light blocking curtains which means you cannot choose to wake up by natural light.
This hotel is very well located, surrounded with iguanas and you can find manatees in the sea. They have average breakfast for free every morning. But the rooms we stayed apparently have bedbugs which we thought mosquitos up untill seeing a doctor after our vacation. We stayed in two different rooms, one had a horrible smell like some one peed on the carpets. The other one was OK but bedbugs. Maybe both of the rooms have bedbugs I don't know. But here I am, a week after our vacation still itching and can't sleep at night because of the horrible bedbug bite itch. They bit my son my daughter my husband, all of us got bitten. Bites are too bad they look like a rash all over my legs and my back. Plus I might need to get pest control for my house because you can sure carry these bugs from one place to another. Very very very disappointing. I am not coming back to this hotel there is no way.…
We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Key Largo. We had a pool view room on the first level. The kids really enjoyed the pool and watching the manatees swim near the beach. We also enjoyed drinks at the tiki bar. Breakfast was good. Will definitely stay here if in Key Largo again.
Be Leary of the bay swim area, boats dock next to it, and at least 2x a boat leaked oil into the swim area. There is no supervisor as to wheather or not a person using the amenities are actual guests. There was a large group that held day long parties at the dock. This was not interrupted by staff.
