Myrtle pays extra attention to ensure her property is more than you expect. From having extra towels at the ready, to a fully stocked beach supply closet, to how clean all areas of the property are at all times, and lastly being on site (in a good way) to answer questions and offer insight to the area. She really has thought of everything to make your stay feel like a home away from home. In light of the current Covid crisis I am so glad we took a chance and stayed with her; full kitchen helped us limit our to go orders. Slyce Pizza is literally across the street with great food. So lucky we found her; we did book direct from her website with no issues.

My girlfriend and I recently returned home from a week at Myrtle's beach cottages in Indian Rocks Beach and I was exactly the quiet, relaxing vacation we needed at the end of a trying summer. Myrtle met us at the cottage on the first day and gave us a great tour of her property, which has amazing garden that lead us to a private beach access. There was a ton of extra beach equipment to use which was great because I broke my personal beach chair on the 3rd day. The beach itself was magnificent, the sand was white and fluffy, the water was a beautiful blue/green and just the right temperature to cool you off on a hot Florida day, and it was not crowded at all. Public beach accesses being far away keeps a lot of the crowds away from the area. There were many great restaurants in the area to choose from, our favorite was Guppy's. The cottage itself was exactly as advertised, the perfect size, having a full sized refrigerator and kitchen was especially nice. We stayed at the cottage nearest to the road so I was slightly worried about the noise of traffic when we first arrived, but i didn't once hear a car drive past while we were in the cottage. Everything about our trip was absolutely perfect and we are both just so happy to have found such an amazing place to vacation at in the future, and we are so thankful to Myrtle for being such a great host to us.

We stayed in the "GULF" cottage. Myrtle walked us around and showed us where things were and how to use them. This place is beautiful!! Everything you need is there, chairs, an umbrella, etc She has a laundry room where you can do your laundry for a small fee. She supplies all the detergent, hand soap, dish soap, etc That is so nice! It helps not having to buy all that especially if you fly down. Crabby Bills is a short walk away for dinner. I expected to have to buy olive oil, etc It was all there......so I added to it paper plates, a box of trash bags, and left some coffee creamer. I have to say every time we go on vacation my 13-year-old is homesick....this time she didn't want to leave!! None of us did, I wish we could have been there a little longer. She has a plant on her trees that only blooms at night. Last night I went out and looked at them, it was so pretty. She has beautiful places to sit around the patio. We plan to come back. Hopefully sooner rather than later! Thanks for everything Myrtle!

My wife and I were looking for a reasonably price cottage in Indian Rocks with direct access to the beach and easy parking. Sandy Shores was perfect! We had a parking spot within a few feet of the front door on one side and direct and private access the beach a few feet on the other side. It could not have been more convenient. We had stayed in Indian Rocks on several other occasions at other rentals so we were somewhat familiar with the area. But after staying at Sandy Shores, we realized this is just the perfect location. Sunsets are unbelievable, especially from the comfortable high patio chairs that make viewing a pleasure especially with glass of wine! The unit we stayed in had a kitchen with stove, full refrigerator and microwave, dining area, nice large living room, bedroom and bathroom. Besides easy parking and direct beach access, there are several great restaurants, a convenience store, souvenir shop and a brewery within a two-minute walk directly across the street. The owner, Myrtle, is on top of everything. She does a great job of maintaining this property, which she has been doing for several years. I would say the property has a lot of old school charm. Original cottage was constructed in the 50's and it's apparent it has been meticulously maintained over the years. The solid concrete construction makes it surprisingly quite on the inside. There are plenty of beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and beach toys available for use, so you don't need to bring anything, which was perfect for us since we arrived to TPA by air. Can't wait to book another stay.

There is not a lovelier spot to stay at in Indian Rocks Beach. If you love the "Old Florida" type of accommodations then you need to look no further. Myrtle is an extremely conscientious owner and her place is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. You are just steps away from the beach and a short walk to a variety of great restaurants. This has become our favorite place to stay and we will continue to book our upcoming vacations at this wonderful place.

All of the rave reviews are accurate! Sandy Shores was the perfect spot for our 4 day getaway! Myrtle has thought of everything. The Garden Cottage was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. As a light sleeper, I was concerned about the fact that the Garden Cottage faces Gulf Blvd, but was happy to find that with the AC running, I was not at all bothered by traffic noise. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is absolutely gorgeous, clean, and literally a 10 second walk down the beautiful garden path from the Garden Cottage. Myrtle is extremely accommodating and easy to reach by phone or text, and provides anything you can possibly need. There are several good restaurants within walking distance and other restaurants and shopping within a short drive. We will be back!!

Amazing! Our stay at Sandy Shores was more than perfect. Quiet and relaxing. Had everything we needed and more. Myrtle keeps her property in tip top shape so her guests feel right at home. Right on the beach, felt private, not crowded with people. Restaurants, CVS, and beach shop all within a block or two. Or take the bus up and down Gulf Blvd, bus stop is right across street. Highly recommend the cottages at Sandy Shores! We will definitely be going back.

This past week was our first time visiting Indian Rocks Beach. I searched cottages and Sandy Shores was our pick. If you are looking for a very well maintained cottage, very close to the beach, you need to look no farther. Myrtle was the most genuinely sincere host, making sure we had all we needed for a very memorable vacation. She takes pride in her little piece of paradise, maintaining the cottages and the beautiful gardens. And making sure her guests feel welcomed. I hope we can visit again! My husband and I have always preferred to stay in cottages and we agreed, this was the best one we have been to in our visits to Florida. You won't be disappointed!

1st time to the gulf side of Florida. We stayed at the middle cottage... it was very comfortable; the furniture, the bed, etc. All good. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, good paint, properly functioning a/c, doors, windows, everything! No issues whatsoever. Just show up, everything you could expect for a day at the beach is onsite for use, and that's a huge bonus in our opinion! Myrtle, the owner, is superbly concerned with your satisfaction and the upkeep of her property. Footsteps away from the beach (great beach, never crowded) and a quick walk to many great restaurants and bars, right across the street. Great ice cream shop across the road, live music seemingly every night across the street, also very close drive to essentially anything else you may want or need. We will definitely return to Sandy Shores again next Fall. Can't wait!

Our first trip to Sandy Shores and we couldn't have made a more delightful discovery. Our cottage was clean and immaculately maintained. Cottages sit in their own tropical garden, a few short steps through the dunes to the sandy beach. Myrtle was a sweet and gracious host, she gives a guided tour of the property upon check in and points out the many great restaurants with in walking distance from the Cottage. PJ's Oyster Bar & Grill, and Crabby Bills were excellent and highly recommended. MS Myrtle provides beach chairs and umbrella's for use at the beach and well as a grill for those wishing to stay and cook. The cottage is fully equipped with a full kitchen and large flat screen TV & WiFi. Being a retired executive from Hilton Hotels, I know hospitality, and Sandy Shores delivers a wonderful experience! If your looking for a beautiful intimate place at a great sandy beach, this is the place to visit.
