We stayed in the Sea Watch suite over Memorial Day. It was so cute and comfortable. We loved being right on the beach. Both entrance doors locked and were secure. The TV was a Roku, so we had access to lots of entertainment. The private upper balcony was amazing. Rusty checked in on us and was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again.
We stayed upstairs in the Sea Watch Suite which has two entrance doors, one of which the locks did not work. The dead bolt did not fit into the door jam (would not lock by pushing on the door, lifting the door or pushing the door downward). A closer look showed that the dead bolt itself was rusted and did not have any fresh scrape marks, indicating this lock has not worked for an extended period of time. To compound this condition, the door knob lock was missing the metal plate on the door jam rendering it useless. So the potential existed for someone, perhaps a thief to effortlessly open the door and enter the suite. When the host was confronted with this issue he responded by saying this is a safe area. The outside electrical light for this door also did not work. I counted eleven solar lights on and around the stairs leading up to the suite of which one worked (none of the solar lights on the steps worked). In addition, the air conditioning for the suite is controlled in the office (which is not manned at night and only occasionally during the day). There was a rusted AC window unit (with pieces literally falling on the deck) but it did not work. We were so disgusted by not being able to control the AC and having to bungee cord the entrance door at night we left a day early even though it was paid for.…
We were in the Sea Turtle suite which had a large kitchen/dining area, fully furnished kitchen, comfy bed, Jacuzzi tub & did I say it is right on the beach?!?!? Trish was wonderful & always available for any questions we had. The cable service is horrible so if you're a TV person, bring a book or laptop for movies. We loved it and plan to visit again very soon.
We’ve stayed there quite a few times now and our experience has been consistent. The rooms are beach shack shabby style, which is quite charming and we love it. Coffee in the morning watching the sunrise over the ocean never gets old. Full kitchen so you have options during your stay. The owners always work with us on dates and such to accommodate our vacations. Love this place. It would honestly be a 3-4 star place in any other location... they get a full 5 stars for getting it right and being right on the beach. A rare find in that part of Fla. and... pet friendly. Perfect.
We actually won these two nights at a silent auction but I would be more than happy to pay! The owners were fantastic and very laid back and accommodating! We stayed in the Dophin suite and it was literally steps away from the beach. The room was furnished so cute and had everything...fully stocked kitchen, beach umbrellas, towels, etc., etc. I've been telling everyone about it so make your reservations now!
