Hyatt House Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port earns praise for its cleanliness, with guests frequently lauding the spotless rooms and tidy common areas, though there have been occasional minor grievances. The service is generally met with approval for its friendliness, but some guests point out less satisfactory breakfast experiences. While the rooms are recognized for their space and amenities, a few guests mention they could use updating. The hotel's amenities, including the convenience of kitchen-equipped rooms, are popular, despite some maintenance remarks. Opinions on value are divided; some guests feel the offerings justify the cost, while others are deterred by high prices and additional charges. The atmosphere and location are well-received, with the latter being celebrated for its closeness to local attractions, although some suggest the rooms lack the lobby's aesthetic appeal.

My husband and my stay at the Hyatt House Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port was great because it was centrally located between the Fort Lauderdale Airport and the Cruise Port. I mean within 10-15 minutes at most. The hotel offered a free shuttle service to/from the airport. Please remember your hotel name because there is a Hyatt House and a Hyatt Place Hotel when being picked up from the airport. This caused a little confusion at the airport. Thanks to one of the shuttle drivers from the hotel being very nice at communicating the difference. The good thing is that they both are across the way from each other, very close. They also offer the ability to schedule a ride service to the Cruise Port for a reasonable charge. And, the ride to the Cruise Port can be arranged upon check in at a kiosk right in the lobby. This was great and easy to use. The room was very clean and nice. The hotel is in walking distance to several restaurants and fast food options like Panda Express. Should be able to find something for everyone to eat. Even a vegan option. There is an area like an outdoor mall within walking distance. This area even has an open area with a water splash pad for the kiddos, along with children's entertainment. While we were there, there was acrobat group, kids programing that offered, "Red, Green, and Yellow light, Stop". This hotel offers a very nice breakfast buffet that is included in the price of the room. It included milk, juice, eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, coffee, tea, etc.... This hotel was a great choice for us.

We stayed here a couple of days prior to leaving on a cruise. The hotel was near the airport and cruise port and provided a complimentary shuttle from the airport but charged a fee for transportation to the cruise terminal of $10 per person. At the airport we contacted the hotel for pick up when we obtained our bags and waited in the designated area outside for the driver. At the cruise port we were delivered right in front of the baggage drop off for our ship. Very convenient. The hotel provided a complimentary breakfast, which was very good. Lots of good choices. They also served dinner in the same restaurant and had a bar. We did not have dinner here but walked around the area where there were several restaurants to choose from. There are also many shops along with a movie theatre. This was an ideal location for us. The hotel had a nice size outdoor pool. The rooms were very spacious. Our room had 2 queen-size beds and a very nice sitting area. The couch was comfortable and was a fold out queen bed. The TV was large and had several good stations. The bathroom had a great shower with good water pressure. The kitchen area had a full-size refrigerator, 2 burner stove, microwave, dishwasher, and sink. The kitchen was also equipped with pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, and kitchen gadgets. Nice desk and chair were also in the living area. The only downside to this hotel was the extremely slow elevators. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again

If you're leaving or returning from a cruise, the Hyatt House is a great place to stay, I have stayed here several times and always enjoy my stay. I like the convenience of the shuttle service from the airport (free) to the hotel, and the shuttle service to the cruise port (small fee). Although there are restaurants within walking distance, I usually grab a sandwich/pizza and a beer from their on-site bar (evening hours only). The menu is limited but the prices are very reasonable.

The rooms are always very clean and appear to have been recently updated. The desk staff is always very professional and courteous.

The only drawback is that the room rates appear to be a little pricier (for this senior) as compared to other comparable hotels serving cruise guests.

A friend and I decided to stay in Ft Lauderdale vice Miami to attend an NFL game as prices, location and convenience to the airport were important for our stay. The hotel exceeded our expectations on all fronts. We spent under $15 to visit Dania Beach and Hollywood Beach and the location of the hotel had all amenities you could ask for in food, entertainment and shopping within seconds of the hotel. I will be staying at this location in the future.

The hotel is fine overall. There’s not much noise isolation as you can hear when the room above you flushes the toilet, which is a bit odd. Breakfast was okay, the staff had to work really hard to keep things stocked. The only reason I cannot recommend this hotel is because they charge for parking. It makes ZERO sense to charge parking at this location, and at $15/day for a hotel guest it just screams money grab. Stay at a hotel 1 minute away and save yourself some money if staying with a car.

Stayed one night in a double-Queen room on 3rd floor. Clean and comfortable, appeared as in the traveller photos. Hotel staff were professional. Nice to be able to walk to a few casual restaurants nearby. We went to BurgerFi for a quick dinner, and brought back to the room. The Hyatt House has a kitchen, while the Hyatt Place across the parking lot doesn't.

Shuttle service TO airport easily arranged. However, I would never bother with airport pickup. Just uber/lyft. It's not worth the hassle of calling them (which you can't do until you are waiting at the hotel shuttle pickup area) and trying to arrange that after a flight is unpleasant in that loud, crowded area. You'll likely be waiting awhile. The ride share/Uber/Lyft pickup area is also noisy, but the pickup stands are numbered, so that helped. Our ride was $17 to the hotel.

Breakfast was plentiful and standard hyatt fare: scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, etc. Coffee was good.

We didn't have a quiet night through around 11 pm. The doors are loud to open and close, and b/c there are a lot of cruise-goers, they tend to be loud and have children, so not conducive to quiet. You can't escape that around FLL hotels.

Alondra greeted us from the front desk with a bright warm smile and helpful demeanor, eager to put in place our one evening reservation. Alondra professionally extended herself with resourceful information we needed regarding your Hyatt House Fort Lauderdale Airport, Dania Beach, FL property. Later she assisted with fresh pool towels ( depleted poolside) and then patiently directing us in arranging for our early morning transportation to FLL. Alondra truly made our too short of a stay very memorable and thoroughly enjoyable.

I make it a habit to check the reviews of other travelers before I book at a property. The reviews looked really promising for this property. However, my experience was less than stellar. It all started when I landed at the airport and called for the shuttle to pick me up. I asked the person at the hotel that answered where should I go to wait for the shuttle because the signage outside of the airport was rather confusing. He told me to go back into the airport and take the elevator to the second floor and follow the signs. I did as I was told and did not see any signs telling me where to go. I called back and explained that I didn't see any of the things that he said. He said that the driver had already left the airport and that he would come get me. I went back downstairs and discovered where the spot for hotel shuttles was. I called back to let the hotel know where I was and he said that he would call the driver and let him know. A black van pulled up and a man hopped out and started yelling what hotel he was for. The man had a heavy accent and I could not understand what he was saying at first. I heard Hyatt House and got in. I got to the hotel and went to the front desk. I said "Hello, I am checking in." The man at the front desk did not say hello back and he had a very dry personality. He was not friendly at all. I am a member of the Hyatt loyalty program and he did not recognize me as a member. I told him that my friend would be coming tomorrow and that he would need a parking pass. He said in a rather short tone, he will need a room key and he will need to get the pass before he parks. No problem.

I went upstairs into the room and the decor was nice and it was nicely laid out. I make it a point to bring sanitizing spray and cleaning wipes when I travel. I used ten wipes in just one area and each wipe was very dirty. I was shocked at how dirty the room was. I went down and told the front desk that the room was not as clean as it should have been . The front desk agent apologized and asked if I wanted housekeeping to come up and service the room. I said no. There was no reason to do so because I had already cleaned. I will not stay at this property again due to the lack of customer service and the fact that the room was not as clean as it should have been.

Alondra upgraded me to a 1bdrm room (separate bedroom), she also signed me up for the morning shuttle to the airport and a “to go”breakfast bag since I was heading back to the airport before breakfast started.

Room was clean and on the 5th floor.
Living room contained sectional sofa, TV, end table, 2 small ottoman’s.

Kitchen had refrigerator, dishwasher, range top, microwave, sink, coffee maker, toaster, table with chairs, and all the utensils, plates/glasses.

Bedroom/bathroom: queen size bed, 2 night stands, TV, 1 sink vanity, closet, standard shower, and toilet.

Bartender Lavonne was fun to chat with. I had the cheeseburger and fries which was good.

Quick overnight stay that I would recommend and stay at again.

For a 3 star hotel, this place is great.

Came here because I was taking a cruise out of Port Everglades and this is within a reasonable Uber ride to the port. We took the free hotel shuttle from the airport to the hotel.

I had a cross-country red eye flight and because there was room available, I was able to pay an early check-in surcharge to get in our room at 9 AM. My husband grabbed some breakfast from the breakfast buffet, took a shower and we fell asleep for like 7 hours.

When we woke up we walked across the street to Sprouts to get some groceries to cook for dinner in our room's kitchen. The only thing that could have been better would be for there to be more pots and bowls to cook with and for them to not be Teflon coated because they're always scratched up in hotels.

After dinner we walked to the other side of our hotel to a big outdoor mall to a comedy club. This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance on every side to shops and restaurants.

I'd definitely recommend staying here again, especially if you're cruising.

It’s about 4 miles to the Pier. You would have to Uber or Taxi because the shuttle Hyatt House offers only goes to and from the Airport. The company Ways (which is the shuttle they use for the airport) also offers shuttle to the cruise port for a fee.

Part of the way yes. But the better answer is that you cannot walk across the intracoastal Waterway bridges in order to reach the beach. So, no, you can't do it.
