“My Husband, Andy and I got married in October 2021 in St. Marys Cathedral, Killarney and had our reception then at The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens. I emphasise the Gardens as from the moment we drove through the gates of the hotel to meet Jason for our Initial wedding Consultation, the picturesque gardens and views with the hotel set into the background, just caught my breath and I remember actually sitting forward in my seat so excited and saying to Andy, “Oh my god, I feel like I have been transported into another world, this is it, this is where we are having Our Wedding.” Practical Andy to my impluseness replied, “Hold on till we meet the man first and see how it goes.” & Did it go, Jason was so professional and devoted and we just got a sense from him that he would go up and beyond to give you the most memorable wedding day. As myself and Andy drove back out after the meeting with Jason, we stopped to admire the Horses and Andy agreed, “Yeah this is it.” It took me ages to put pen to paper about what to write for this Venues Review as I wanted to do it so much Justice, because as a Bride to be you have a vison and dream of what you want your day to be, for me it was “Elegance meets Nature” and ever the Interior Designer my theme was “Chanel in the Forest,” from the tables named after Irish Trees to acorns underneath the Candelabras to black sashes on the Ivory Chair Covers, nothing was too much for them. Jason and Clodagh just went up and beyond and the whole weekend was above any dream I could envision, it was our Fairy-tale Wedding. This exceptional duo Team are absolutely First Class, how I would summarize them would be like two in sync graceful swans you see gliding effortlessly on a lake, but obviously underneath their feet are kicking mad to move along but you don’t see that and that’s how it felt on our day, everything was taken care of and the whole reception just went so seamlessly, in fact the whole weekend from check in to check out. SEAMLESS would be the word to sum it all up. My feedback highlights how amazing the Gardens, Castle and the Interior of the Hotel is, but for Andy he is still raving about the Children’s onsite activities as we had our 2-year-old Freya with us the children’s activities in particular the kids club was a godsend to us and she absolutely loved it. For our guests they are still talking about the beef… “The best beef they ever had.” “And they kept coming around with more helpings” At breakfast the next morning, the main topics of conversation were how good the food was, how lovely the wine was, how amazing the views are from their rooms. As a newly married couple that’s all we wanted to hear was that everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did! So, to wrap this up, Jason & Clodagh… Thank you, thank you, thank you sincerely for creating The Perfect Day, we will never ever forget! We look forward to coming back in October to celebrate our 1-year Anniversary and reliving our amazing memories.…
Well where to begin, Jason, Clodagh and the staff at the Dunloe were absolutely first class in the service and support we received during our wedding preparations! We were balancing covid restrictions but we could not have faulted their efforts in accommodating our wishes, it made a difficult period as hassle free as possible. The grounds and accommodation are absolutely brilliant the horses and livestock across the 70 or so acres make for a wonderful setting and the view for the wedding breakfast of the gap of Dunloe is superb. We had the ceremony in nearby St Mary's Cathedral and used kerry coaches to transfer guests. Many of our guests came from England and across Ireland and they are still raving about the reception and food many months later. We could not fault their efforts and attention to detail, and are planning a reunion at the Dunloe with family and friends for our anniversary. We look forward to seeing you all again at The Dunloe soon. Claire and John O’Dwyer…
My husband and I got married in September and had our reception at The Dunloe. 5* experience from the moment we arrived straight through to when we left. Jason and Clodagh were amazing and a level above the rest. Im so thankful that we chose this as our venue, I dont think you could ask for a more beautiful setting. We were married just as the restrictions were being lifted and as you can imagine, we were very stressed about what we would be allowed. Jason and Clodagh were very helpful with all of this. We received so many compliments from our guests on the hotel, the service and especially the wedding food. Thank you to everyone at The Dunloe for an unforgettable experience!
We had a wonderful week. The hotel is a wonderful place. The superiour room we had was great, the Gap, horses and sheep right in front of our balcony. We really enjoyed ourselves. Service was very friendly. It's nice to see that staff gets the time to talk to their guests. Food and facilities are worth the five star! Stunning grounds and garden surround this magnificent hotel, with lots of animals and a play ground making it ideal for family holidays. Management very friendly but not intrusive, Jason and Clodagh met us on a few occasions to check we were enjoying our stay. Perfectly placed with a view of the Gap of Dunloe with accompanying mountains, the low river and the lakes of Killarney in the distance, all are easily accessible for exploration. There are many activities and amenities such as horse trails, fishing, swimming, tennis etc. Overall a lovely hotel with fantastic staff and services…
