D-Zone Backpackers Inn is the newest Hostel/B&B/Inn in the Metro Tagaytay Area. Our location is a great starting point to most attractions in Tagaytay. We are strategically located along Aguinaldo Highway. All buses and jeepneys going to/from Tanila and Tagaytay passes right in front of our place. It is safe to say that we are the first Hostel-type/Backpackers Inn-Style accomodation in the Metro Tagaytay Area.

The price is very cheap so don't expect too much. For me the room with the queen size bed is good for one person only. If you're like me who moved around the bed when sleeping this is not the place for you. The bed sheet still has hair in it which gets me to thinking that they haven't changed it yet. If you want an extra blanket because the bed sheet is too thin and there's only one extra blanket, you need to pay 100 pesos. The restroom sink is clogged and it lacks space so it's difficult to move around.

As for the place, it's near the highway so it's convenient to go back and forth if you want to go to other places.

The staff/owner whoever it was who assisted us (I'm sorry, I'm bad with names) is reliable and friendly.

Over all that is as good as your money gets. If you just want a place to rest your back for a while this is the place for you.

My bestfriend and I decided to visit Tagaytay, so we decided to look for a place to stay and put our bags while travelling Tagaytay. My friend suggested that we stay in D Zone Backpackers Inn. So I did the reservation through TravelBook.ph.

When we came there, the staff facilitated us in our room. It was clean. They have a very big cabinet, where you can put all your stuff and clothes. There is TV but no cable. The only hassle is that you have your private CR but it is outside your room. And in our case, our private CR is at the very end part of the hallway. (Bring your own slippers)

They have different board games you can borrow whenever you feel line playing with your friends and family. They also have available books and magazine you can read while staying in your room.

We have a good breakfast but it would be better if they have a list of food we can choose from.

The staffs are very friendly and reliable. We like the service, very accomodating.

We are just a bit disappointed when we are going to extend our stay. Because we don't want to bring our stuff during travel. I texted them before our check in, that we might extend hours. But I was told that we can only extend time upon availability of the room or before check out. So we waited until check out but the staff said the room was book at 1pm. But the staff suggested that we can leave our things to them and come back after we're done with our travel. And so we agreed.

If you are planning to extend your time, better tell them right away, so there won't be inconvenience.

After check out, we were given a loyalty card, 50% discount if you want to stay with them again.

Overall we are satisfied and would definitely stay here again.

went to Silang for a friend's birthday party. We were supposed to sleep over but wanted privacy so we decided to look for a motel and found D-Zone. We booked on Agoda just hours before checking in, and paid for only Php999. It was cheap, the average cost of stay for 1 night in Tagaytay and nearby cities is around Php2,600.
The one and the only staff around during our stay is very friendly and attentive. Our room was small, but clean. LED TV wasn't just for display, it was working, as well as the cable connection. The aircon was working, the bathroom was clean and the heater was working too. Not bad, for Php999.
It wasn't perfect though. The hallway was dark, the waiting room was dark, breakfast was a pair of very very small portions of silog. We had our own bathroom but it was outside the room so we had to step outside our room each time we needed to go, it was a hassle. But then again, for the cheap price, i was still a happy camper.

I purchased a voucher from Metrodeal that states "Charming Overnight Tagaytay Getaway at D-Zone Backpackers Inn for 2 or 4 Persons" for P999 instead of P2400
-Air-conditioned room for 2 persons with 1 queen-sized bed with LED television
or
-Air-conditioned room for 4 persons with 2 double deck beds

I called the number for reservations and the lady who answered was accommodating at first. I told her we wanted to use our voucher and asked if there were rooms available. She said econo rooms were the only ones left at that time so we decided to drop by first to check the rooms before making or confirming our reservation. We advised her that we are already on our way and that we are probably 30 minutes to an hour away.

When we arrived, a male staff who had completely no idea of our arrival halfheartedly assisted us. I told him I called and spoke with a lady prior to our arrival and that we are here to check the rooms as we have agreed upon. I also showed him the text message sent to me but I think he wasn't convinced at all. He said there's only 1 room left. I insisted to see the room. He showed me a small room with 2 double deck beds (not an air-conditioned room) then he left and was nowhere to be found. I still went ahead and checked the bathroom (I believe that was on the 2nd floor), which is by the way, SHARED. There was no water, the flush wasn't working, and man, the stink was awful. I went down to our car and discussed with my husband what I saw. When we were about to leave, the male staff told me that he already coordinated with their reservation staff and we can now check in. I told him we'll have lunch first and we'll try to go back. While having lunch, my husband and I agreed that we'll not take the room because the condition there wasn't suitable for us and our babies. After a few minutes, I was bombarded with text messages saying that air-conditioned rooms are now available. I told her I am sorry but we will not take the room. She said OK, absent all the niceties and courteousness that she gave us initially.

I went there with my family (my husband and I plus 2 babies) just to spend the night. What we hoped for as a charming getaway ended up as a horrible nightmare.

After a week or so, I emailed Metrodeal regarding processing the refund for this voucher as we have no intention of ever going back to this place. Their customer representative informed me that they cannot process the refund because the voucher was already tagged as "used". I was so furious and sent another email and asked them to coordinate this with Dzone Backpackers. After a series of email exchanges, reasoning and unacceptable excuses, they agreed to process the refund. They were very sarcastic and not even apologetic.

The fellow at the hotel keeps pestering me for the printout of the voucher from Agoda. I told him I booked using my mobile phone on the way and there's no way I could have printed it out. I have been using Agoda for years now and normally I just need to show the voucher on my mobile phone and let them verify the booking number. This fellow directed me to a computer shop to print. But the shop didn't have paper and couldn't print out for me. I went back and told him so and he directed me to another shop again. This time, this shop has paper but doesn't want to provide the printing service. I was so fed up. In the end, I bought A4 size paper myself and went back to the first shop to print. If the hotel insist on having printed copies if the Agoda voucher, why don't they install a printer at their front desk? It's for the convenience of everyone

We went here on April 30, 2016. We were the impression that we have successfully reserved a deluxe room (with own CR), but to our disappointment, the room was occupied by someone else upon our arrival. It's already late and almost midnight, therefore we had no choice but to take whatever is available. We will no longer come back to this very unpleasant inn.

This place is highly disappointing for various reasons:

1. Lacks parking space-we parked in front of the building, right in the highway! Such inconvenience!
2. CR is separate from the room, i.e, there is just a common CR for the entire floor. Had to pay additional (regular price) to get into a room with its own CR (and its ultra small and not even that nice!). They should have stated this important fact in their online promo.
3. No wifi access in the room where we stayed. Poor signal according to the staff.
4. Aircon is OK but the mattress and bedsheet are below par compared to other hotels of the same room price. No comforter available.
5. Lacks room service/cleaner esp. if you'll stay more than one day.
6. Even the breakfast coffee had an extra charge, goodness!

Lesson learned: Be wary of online discounts and double check what you think is essential (our fault for not doing so) before biting into promos. We ended up paying the same, regular fee charged by other hotels which are bigger, more comfortable, with parking space, decent breakfast with free coffee, room service/cleaner when what we wanted was a discounted online offer. The lack of private CR and parking lot should have been made clear in their promo.

Good day mam/sir! We would like to thank you, even though our reply is a bit late, for taking a chance on us and our very brave concept of accomodation here in metro tagaytay area. we would like to address the following concerns you raised in your review so we can give light to our faults. As a bakpackers inn, as much as we would like to provide a parking space for guests, we cannot do so because of budget constraint and follows the Backpackers Inn set-up of accommosation. Since we read your review, we have been informing guests about our lack of parking space because we are a backpackers inn. As we have said in our concept, bakpackers inn usually have communal bathrooms, we regret that you got an inpression that we are cheating our guests. We will certainly not do that because trust and honesty are the bread and butter of hospitality industry. Wifi signals around our city is not consistent but we try our very best to report any signal fluctuation that occur with our wifi subscription. We really do not have any comforter as we adhere and introduce this new to the philippine market backpackers style of accommodation. And as for our mattress beds, we can assure all guests that we are providing decent matresses comparable to other places of accommodation in our area with the same pricepoints. Room cleaning service are very much provided even to guest who stay 2 nights or more. We regret to know that we did not reach your expectation regarding this aspect. and lastly, we are very sorry for charging coffee during breakfast time because we really put effort in providing you the lowest possible price of accommodation that we are sad to exclude coffee during breakfast time, but we have conpensated that matter by providing bottled water to all guests. Again, we are very sorry for all the disappointments we made during your stay, rest assured that will keep addressing these matters everytine to all our team members, and thank you for taking a chance on a new, concept of accommodation when you stayed with us. We hope to see you soon!

It was unpleasant. We booked for de luxe via metrodeals but they gave us the economy room at 4th floor. Comfort rooms are for sharing and not functioning well, you will have to go down to another floor to take a bath because the showers are not functioning in 4th floor. You still have to ask for the toiletries and some are out of stock. No tables inside the rooms, for the free breakfast. No Internet connection at the 4F, you will have to go down to the 2F to connect to the internet. I do not recommend this for staycation. This is purely for backpackers and it is quite expensive for the services we got. Considering it's on a promo.

My Girlfriend and I had a short out of town vacation and we have planned going around Tagaytay tourist spot. The accommodation was really good. We spent our monthsary there in the Hotel and by the way I used the voucher that i purchased from Metrodeal. It was our first time out of time vacation in the south and very lucky as we found this hotel which is very accessible to everything. We arrived there around 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon and we have confirmed that the room has been booked for us. The hotel was neat and organized. The staff were very accommodating and nice. We checked out around 10 o'clock in the morning Sunday as we will be strolling around Tagaytay spots. I will definitely recommend this cute and nice hotel to all of my friends.

If you need a place to just sleep-in while in Tagaytay, then D'Zone Backpackers is the place for you. The room where I stayed in with 3 other friends was clean, comfy and quiet (when windows are closed). Comfort rooms are exclusively assigned to each room and ours had hot and cold water. Knowing that we'd chosen a backpackers' inn, we already managed our expectations prior. The staff were accommodating, friendly and go out of their way to give service. The resto-bar at the ground floor (different owner), Mei Kat, served us good food, really yummy and did not scrimp on ingredients.
