Our cabin was old and had some damage in places, including broken hinges on the cupboards, and a large hole in the main bedroom wall. The general cleanliness of the cabin was very average. For a group cabin with 12 beds, the overall facilities were severely lacking, with us being completely unable to locate a sharp knife or scissors etc to open packets of food. Despite enquiring about the pool and jumping pillow for the kids prior to our stay, we found the pool was locked every time we tried it, and the jumping pillow was intermittently in use. Subsequently, our group of 5 kids did not get to use the pool over our stay at all.

The place it’s self was fairly quiet and the beds were comfy and the room was comfy enough - very cold , but still comfy so that was good but the overall appearance of the cabins and place is outdated and needs a bit of a freshen up and just more updated furniture but if a makeover and would be great ! 😊 Plus it would help if you had a light up sign at night time as it’s hard to find the entrance of it .

Stayed in cabin no 5 with family group and there was good space for everyone, the cabin was well kitted out so we could cook etc. The kids park was great and the jumping pillow too. The pool looked beautiful but we visited in winter so not the right time for swimming. Service staff at the office were lovely and helpful when I went looking for some coat hangers and an extra bin liner. Overall lovely quiet park for a weekend away to do other things (bushwalking etc). Not ideal for kids riding their bikes around, the park seemed to be fairly occupied by permanent residences rather than holiday makers but that is not a negative as such just to note it is a quiet place.

The website description is a little different to reality. Unfortunately the site our family were given 112 was located under the electrical tower, 100m from the train line and the nearby amenities block was closed, however the park staff and numerous retirees are friendly and helpful and overall very clean public spaces. Worth looking at alternative options to stay in the area away from the trains, unless that’s your passion lol
