ABV is a budget-minded motel in a light industry area of Fort Collins near I-25. A gas station and convenience store is located close to the property, and there is a pool. Rates were higher than advertised, however. The room was large enough and decently clean. There are inside corridors, but only a flight of stairs to the second level inside. We struggled with the luggage up the stairs, only to find that the magnetized keys did not work. And there were no luggage racks in the room. There was a nice hot breakfast including self-make waffles in the morning. My issue with this motel was the security deposit, which was twice the room rate. I understand the need for this, but twice the room rate seemed excessive, especially since I not told about it when I made the reservations. I don't like this kind of surprise because by then it was too late to go elsewhere.

It was a clean hotel. However, we had to take our own towels each day to exchange for clean ones. Take our own trash out. They Never remade beds. Not once out of five days did they come in to freshen up the room. We were on vacation and didn’t want to do that. We went down the road.

Won’t be using Expedia or staying at this hotel again. I booked a room with a King sized bed and was given a room with a double bed. When I asked to switch into the King room I booked, I was forced to pay more than the original price. Expedia advertised the King room incorrectly. Don’t bother bundling car & hotels with Expedia because their pricing is way off. Then there’s the housekeeping issues at this hotel. We didn’t have housekeeping for 3 days and then randomly got a bang on the door at the crack of dawn. I asked them to come back later and they said they couldn’t...? So I denied service. The front desk called a few minutes later and said housekeeping “NEEDS to get in there.” In what world are you not allowed to deny housekeeping? Front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. Spend your money on a nicer hotel with better service.

The rooms are still dirty no matter how many times they say they have cleaned them. There is so much fabuloso on the floor that our dog got sick and even though we told the owner this he still let's his maids continue to use it. They all around just don't care about their guests no matter what they tell them that they need to fix. The staff doesn't do there jobs and as far as their continental breakfast goes it's horrible and the coffee tastes burnt and the juices look and taste watered down. If your going to stay at this motel be very cautious and watch all your stuff cause the maids are noisy. None of the staff care about anything around there cause they are only there to collect a paycheck.

Absolutely horrible! Do not stay here even if your life depended on it. The staff is severely unfriendly. I waited for 10 minutes to talk to them about the situation in our room because they were out back smoking. They came in and had no care. Right after I told them the issues with our room (hair in beds, dirty sink/shower, stained flooring and lamp shades, door did not even have a chain lock that worked) they told us they would upgrade our room (even though we were already in a “new” room). I asked for a reimbursement of some kind and the GM said no immediately. We packed up and left within 20 minutes of being checked in. This place is not an accurate representation of the advertisements.

We had a reservation for two desperate dates, within the same week. First one was for 2 days second was for one. When we checked in the first day they couldn’t find our reservation and didn’t want to look at email verifying our stay. Desk clerk tried to make it right or so I thought by giving us a key and saying if they needed to talk to us they would. So we stayed the two days. When we went back for our second stay, they said they used that stay to take care of the first one and that we could not stay unless we paid which we already paid for. Did not allow us to speak to manager and said there was not a corporate number we could call!!!

While reserving this room we were told the hotel room had a full sized hot tub that could fit up to 6 people. When we got into our room we quickly realized that this was false advertising. It was a 2 person jacuzzi tub. Although this was very disappointing it wasn't what ruined the experience. Here is a list of things that followed that ruined the whole experience: 1. Caulking in tub was old and peeling off which allowed water to go inside and caused a mold problem around the edges of the tub and up the wall of the shower. As a person with mold allergies this really sucked because I spent the entire night with a swollen throat and coughing. 2. Tiles were either missing or falling off the tub. 3. There was spilled coffee stains from who knows how long ago that were NEVER cleaned. 4. White splatter over the entire back wall behind the sink, I'm hoping it's toothpaste spit! 5. Absolutely no parking left near the room we were in. We had to park across the street. 6. Their cable had very few channels and the channels it did have were completely full of static lines. 7. We complained about it all the next morning and were told a manager would call us and possibly give us a refund. After waiting 3 1/2 days and still no phone call I decided to call. The manager told me there was nothing they could do and they would not refund the room. No apology was given and he had no concern of their poor rooms or their poor service.
This was the worst most ghetto hotel experience I have had in my entire life. I cannot believe this place is still in business and hasn't been turned in!!

Dear Guest, I would like to take the time to apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay. You should not have been told that our Jacuzzis fit six people, because we would in fact never allow six people in a single suite. Even though we are a more dated hotel, there is no excuse for issues with cleanliness or things falling apart. We have a maintenance staff on hand throughout the night that would have come to address these problems. Your room should have been cleaned upon check in and apologize for the issues of cleanliness that you encountered. Again, we are a more dated hotel but some of the issues you described should not have occurred.
