Hotel's Favorite
Quiet, comfortable, complimentary breakfast, a good selection of TV shows. The Hotel management must strongly warn its software team to avoid putting in mandatory restrictions like "200 characters minimum".

One expects consistent and quality service out of Hampton Inn, which is why we chose it for our "after Rocky Mountain National Park" landing point, occupying 2 rooms to hold our family. At >$200/room/night, it was a rather weighty choice, I must say. Quite simply, we were disappointed.
1. One room had a distinct odor of feet or possibly vomit.
2. One room had a beautiful (not!) view of a tarp covering up roof work being done.
3. The hotel was housing 2 softball teams, who were loud and ubiquitous, such that it was hard to get away from them. If the hotel cannot control and manage crowds among their clients, they should accept fewer such groups.
4. Swimming pool was not particularly clean or attractive.
5. Breakfast was very limited, compared to two other HI properties at which we have stayed recently.
Overall, disappointing.

The Hampton Inn Fort Collins was our favorite hotel stay of our trip. We stayed in two Hamptons and a Hilton and this was the cleanest, friendliest location. The hotel was still under renovation on the outside, but our room on the third floor appeared to have fresh new paint and decor.
The other advantage of this hotel was the hot tub! We had done a lot of hiking the week before arriving, as well as walking around Frontier Days in Cheyenne. The hot tub was a good way to unwind- none of our other hotels had a hot tub.
The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good, standard Hampton Inn food. I'd recommend this hotel to families who need a clean, quiet, relaxing place to unwind.

Neither my kids (on chromebooks) nor I (on an iMac) could connect to the "free wifi". The front desk said laptops are not allowed to use their wifi, just iPads or iPhones. I travel a lot. Have never heard of this, nowhere, ever. Extraordinarily lame, not to mention false advertising. And I am a Hilton Honors member. About 6 cars in the parking lot. I know why. Don't stay here. And, there is a used water bottle here from the previous guest under the end table.

We are currently staying here and we are on our 3rd of 4 nights. I have to say I am a bit disappointed in the general overall lack of effort on behalf of the staff. The buffet has been good, but I can't get my trash taken out or clean towels brought in. When I inquired at the front desk yesterday to have maid service, he rolled his eye, sighed and told he would try, but basically don't get my hopes up. He has two maids for 60 rooms, and I told him, I understand, he is understaffed, they don't have to service room, if they could just take the trash out and bring new towels, thats all I was asking for. Basically got a yeah right. Came back last night, nothing. Our kids were kicked out of the pool the other night, because it was close to closing time, but friends of the employee were allowed to stay. I travel a lot, and understand the industry in a whole is taxed and there aren't enough people, but this place far exceeds any past experiences I have had with complacent, ill-equipped for the customer service industry employees.

We were evacuated due to the wildfires and were able to find a room here. Even with renovations, the room was quiet. Even with the covid, we were provided with a box breakfast with scrambled eggs and French toast.

I like the location of this hotel and price tends to be lower than others in the brand. However it is under construction and something about the way the hotel is built helps carry noise from other rooms above and next door. Each time I’m there my sleep is not restful and I’m afraid my kids are making too much noise so it’s hard to relax. The pool and the food are nice amenities. It’s always clean.

All in all a good place to stay, but several mixed reactions. The hotel was very quiet, nice sized rooms, and conveniently located. The rooms have been recently upgraded, BUT I can’t even imagine why someone came up with Chartreuse trim in the bathroom. Seems to be a mix of retro, traditional, and just odd. The post COVID breakfast solution is great. Just place your order the night before and pick it up in the morning. Perfect! Nothing on the website though indicated the hotel is under construction and the gym no longer exists. In fact it listed the gym as an amenity, misleading advertising. The price is much higher than it used to be.

When traveling, we always stay at Hampton Inns because of the consistency...clean, comfortable and a decent breakfast. Unfortunately, our stay at the Ft. Collins one didn't remotely come close to the first criteria.
Yes, the hotel is obviously older and in need of some updating. The shower stall had several chips, some caulking was cracked, the carpet looked very well used...all things we could live with. Then, when I opened the closet door, on the top shelf was a grocery bag with food wrappers in it and a full reddish colored soft drink. When checking for wash cloths I found an old ziplock baggy and two used, damp wash clothes in with the blow dryer.
So...perhaps an aberration, perhaps a new housekeeper..who knows. But unfortunately definitely not Hampton Inn standards and we'd recommend staying elsewhere.

Close to I25 and many dining options. Breakfast buffet was offered but was a slimmed down version of usual Hampton breakfast preCovid days. Hampton is our hotel of choice and this one did not disappoint.

To the west is a Grub & Pub and IHOP and to the east a Macaroni Grill, Cold Stone and Texas road house. Not immediately adjacent but within 1/2 mile.
