The only negative was the amount for the pet fee…. Most hotels we’ve stayed at are a flat fee for the stay.
We are visiting during the fires currently burning in northern Colorado. I've witnessed the hotel being very compassionate to the evacuees and fire fighters. It's nice to see my community doing it's part during this tragic time.
I'm proud to say Fort Collins is my home.
And the surrounding businesses are doing there part.
It brings me hope for better times to come.
But for the money, it was not a great place to stay. Will not be back.
We always try the beds before we settle into a room. This time we were in a hurry so we didn’t spend much time testing them. A big mistake. After visiting with a friend, we came back in the evening and crashed for the night. We both woke up with backaches from the saggy mattress. When your head and feet are above your bumm in the horizontal position, it’s not a good sign.
We knew we had to try and remedy this and called the desk to ask if we could test beds in other rooms to see if we could find one that had more support. The manager on duty explained that all of the beds at this property are “soft.” He also explained that they were remodeling the rooms and replacing all the furniture, but the beds would be the last things to go. He suggested that the pull out sofa bed might also be an option. We tried beds in three other rooms and found one that seemed a little better. We packed our stuff and moved, then took off for the day. That night we hit the sack but were unable to find a comfortable position and finally decided to try the sofa bed, pulled the mattress off the springs and put it onto the floor where we slept that night. It was better than the alternative hammock mattress. Thanks God we checked out the next morning!
If you are not already turned off to this property that should not have the word “comfort” in its name, then here are a few more tidbits that will help you decide on eliminating this place as an option for your stay. The frig temperature control knob was broken off and all our food froze. The TV image was dull and hard to see. There was no wastebasket in the bathroom and no Kleenex in the dispenser. The hallway was filthy. The place was under construction and we had to dodge sofas and chairs as we made our way through the space. The pesticide guy was spraying in the hallways as we were leaving. No I’m not kidding, it really happened this way.
I really don’t blame the staff for all these troubles; they seemed to be responsive and hard working. I think it is the owners who are to blame. They clearly did not should concern for the guest’s sleep experience. They should rename the place “Comfortless Suites.”
I would be grateful if you would rank this review.
