I have stayed at the Rochester hotel in the past and had such a wonderful experience that I wanted to try it again for my business trip. It exceeded my expectation. The price is comparable to chain hotels but the service, the cleanliness and uniqueness of my room, location to Main Street, and breakfast are world class. Everyone was kind and helpful in providing recommendations for food and experiences. This is my go to spot whenever I am in the Durango area.

I moved to Durango in 2012 and I moved to China for work a couple of years ago. My condo in Durango is currently rented but i like to return to meet my friends and ski Purgatory. I just spent the last 3 weeks at the Rochester Hotel and from the moment I checked in I felt at home. The hospitality is superb, fantastic room, bed, bath and more. Breakfast in the morning is wonderful and complete. Best location in town and so much is within a short walk. I just checked out today and I am already trying to plan my return visit.

We love the The ROCHESTER Hotel and Leland House! Our daughter is at Fort LEWIS College So we have found our perfect spot to stay when we are in town visiting ... The hotel is just so charming! The staff are welcoming & the vibe is quiet & historical. Love all the art memorabilia - The West & The cowboy - The Movies - all make it a magical spot to stay! Rooms are excellent! No need to bring your toiletries- it’s all in your room! Always lovely little treats & beverages available! Daily breakfast is fantastic!! Parking is simple & you are steps away from fine dining & local night life. I highly recommend This Hotel! We will be back next month ! Dominique (: VT

I'll cut to the chase: this is a charming classic Bed and breakfast. The rooms can be smaller, but are very cozy. The toiletries are premium (Aveda), and are excellent. The breakfast spread was good too; they do both continental breakfast (with locally or homemade pastries), and a daily special that can be ordered, and they have really good coffee and tea. They give you a real key too, so don't lose it! They also have a workspace business next door for any business needs.

What a wonderful hotel right in the middle of downtown Durango! The staff was friendly and the rooms were very cute. All the details of the room were perfect making it feel like an old western hotel while providing modern charm. The morning breakfast was delicious with a great warm breakfast and great homemade granola! They even accommodated for our pup, and had dog bowls and a pet bed waiting for us when we arrived. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who is traveling to Durango as it is very charming and the location is perfect for walking around town!
