Excellent location, stayed with a travel group.
Very clean suites, loved this hotel. The attention to detail really showed.
There were constriction staff on sight updating areas of the hotel. That was nice to see. The carpet in my room needed updating but I found the room very clean and well equipped.
Excellent breakfast each day. There is an open atrium down the middle of the hotel with the rooms all around the atrium. I thought I may hear noise from the bar or smell the food from breakfast but that was not the case. Very quite. The hotel is location right next to a busy freeway, some noise from traffic, but not bad.
We’re erecting offered 2 free drinks during happy hour, I choose not to take the drinks. The liquor ordered I do not drink, if I wanted to upgrade the drink I would pay full price. I thought that was a bit odd. The happy hour appetizers were not the true appetizers, we were offered celery, broccoli and dip, potato chips, trail mix and another type of chip mix. The expectation given to us by our tour guide and not the hotel was the appetizers were hot and we could make a meal of it. That is not the case, per our tor guide things have changed since coivd.

Excellent stay and I would go back.

We went for a conference. The rooms were dated but clean and we had reasonable space. The staff was awesome...Very friendly and helpful. We only slept in the room so it worked for us---out all ay and most of the night. Not fancy but good value. There are 2 restaurants in walking distance we brought food in from both.

The front desk staff--the ones checking you in, the ones giving the first impression!--were surly and unhelpful. We tried checking in 2 hours early due to my companion being ill. We were told the room we were assigned is not yet cleaned--despite 2 other rooms in our same booking being available to check in early (which they did). My friend is about to faint. Went to the restroom to puke. Finally talked to the cleaning staff about our problem--friend sick, needs to lie down and have access to bathroom--and they very nicely cleaned our room right then. Why didn't Front Desk do this?? They could SEE my friend was ill. I just don't get why you'd have the most unhelpful people at the front. Also, taking prime parking (about 8 spots) for the construction equipment at the expense of paying guests is REALLY stupid planning. Make the construction crew park their things
out back, not people who are paying a lot to stay here. Poor management all around, quite frankly.

We have children and grandchildren who live in Colorado Springs. We have stayed at this hotel often. The breakfasts were very good and the staff who worked in the serving area and eating area were friendly and very anxious to make sure our needs were met. The hotel itself is very clean, but also very disappointing. It appears to be very "tired" and in desperate need of renovation, and until that happens our stays in Colorado Springs will be at some other hotel.

There are 2 elevators in the lobby area. One of them is not in service and has been out of order since the last time we were there a year ago. The sinks in both the bathroom and at the little bar in our suite would drain extremely slowly. The biggest problem is with the thermostat. On our first night it was extremely chilly and we could not adjust the temperature. We mentioned that to the staff at the desk the next morning. Someone fixed the problem, but then the next 2 nights we were there the room was much too warm - it felt like a sauna. We could not regulate the temperature.

I mentioned these issues to the woman at the desk as we were checking out and she seemed very abrupt and not interested, telling me the hotel gets only so much cash to keep the place updated and they are doing the best they can. She could have apologized and said she would relay our concerns to the management.

Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance of this hotel property left much to be desired! This property is old and tired and should not still carry the Embassy name. The exterior is old and dated. Attempts have been made to update the main areas of the interior but it is still very dated. The carpets are worn and even ragged, particularly at the elevator entrances. The 4th floor common area ceiling had an area that had leaked and the plaster had fallen.

In our suite the shower curtain in the bathroom had multiple areas with a brownish substance that looked like dried feces or blood. I had requested a room refresh and asked for the shower curtain to be replaced but when we returned to our room that evening, the requested shower curtain was lying on the TV stand just inside the door and our room had not been refreshed. Therefore, with my bare hands, I had to take down the dirty shower curtain which had unidentified substances on it and put up the new one. The sink in the bathroom drained very slowly and the bathtub had an off-color, grimy appearance. (As a side note, the bathroom is TINY!)
The balcony doors by the bed leaked and soaked the carpet, consequently soaking the clothing items and pillows that were on the floor. Also, there were multiple areas with sloppily patched, large cracks in the ceiling of the suite.

On a positive note, we liked the location of this hotel and the view from our room was beautiful. Also, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was delicious!

To sum it all up, if this had been our first experience at an Embassy Suites, we would probably never stay at one again.

Have stayed before and never expect it to be the Hilton standard of most other Embassy Suites, but this time the decline was even more noteable. Shower curtain torn terribly affecting using the shower. Two tickets for drinks per adult and you are competing to get them with the hotel's small menu restaurant and bar customers, with very limited staff. The towels at the pool were basically woven dish towels in fabric and size. The hand rail on the hot tub is dangerously loose and wobbly.

Now let's talk about breakfast. I am not, with the rise in the Delta variant including fully vaccinated people, at all interested in seeing ALL of the breakfast staff, from cooks to servers to bus persons wear NO MASKS AT ALL! We stepped in and back out with in seconds, looking at one another and shaking our heads. We decined the complimentary breakfast with a free side of covid exposure, checked out and headed out as quickly as possible. Warning on the door about no masks being needed. Didn't occur to us it would include food service staff. If this is going on in front of us, what is going on behind doors? For nearly $300. a night we were glad to leave and easily found other suite accomodations with greater ammenties nearby for less.

The hotel is in need of some repairs, only 2 of the 4 elevators worked during our stay and due to heavy rains while we were there the roof had multiple leaks throughout the atrium lobby. The restrooms in the pool area needed repair a much more frequent daily cleaning. Call the hotel direct fiord reservations as even though we booked in Han. for June our rooms were not at all what we were guaranteed. The staff adjusted our rooms as best they could and were very friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was phoneminal, daily drinks and snacks were also well appreciated, healthy snacks but low quality booze. All in all our rooms were nice, spacious and maid service was good.

First for the good. The room size was nice with the separate seating area The breakfast was good and the free drinks in the evening were a nice extra. The employees were kind at the front desk, the bartender was extremely nice, and the food from the bar was actually pretty good considering.

Now for the areas that need improvements. The rooms need to be updated. The mattress made you roll to the middle. They put these soft mattress covers on the beds probably to cover up the fact they need replaced. I could not sleep on the bed due to the sinking mattress so tried the sofa bed. You were literally sleeping on springs so that didn't work. I paid over $200 per night to sleep on a couch which was not comfortable either. The showers had a weird set up to turn the shower/faucet on. My complaint is not so much with the handle; however,it did contribute to the scolding when not sure how to switch it off when getting scolded.
The issue was the water temperature did not have a thermostat limit. Several of us literally almost scolded our skin due to the lack of a control on the hot water. This could be dangerous for kids and adults. Also, we booked a mountain view room but the view was blocked by trees so that should not be considered mountain view.

The worst of the whole experience was the elevators. Two of the four were out when we got there. Then a third went out so 3 out of 4 elevators did not work. Of course, the one that did work was on the farthest end of the hotel from our room. We took the stairs but that was not fun after long days of hiking.

I still gave the hotel 3 stars as I would not consider it gross as some stated in reviews below. It did not feel dirty or like I wouldn't allow my family to stay there (that happened at a hotel at a later stop on our trip so I have something to compare it to). I just think these inconveniences especially the elevator should be accounted for in room rates when you are not getting basic amenities as advertised. I will not stay here again unless those things are corrected. The person at the front desk said they had three quotes from elevator repair vendors and were just waiting on corporate to choose one but looking back at reviews now, there have been reviews that the elevators have been out for a while so it sounds like it should have already been repaired. I wish I had seen that review before going as I will not stay there again without elevators.

If you are able to pass along feedback to the franchise owner or Hilton corporate I would suggest some funds being spent on this property. The fourth floor ceilings have visible signs of decay, to the point they are crumbling down multistories onto the waterfall in the common area on the first floor. The furnishings in our room are dated, dirty and show signs of serious wear and tear. The carpets need replacing as the rooms smell musty. Double pained sliding glass doors should be installed on the balconies as the current ones permit a cold draft to seep into rooms. Finally, the wall paper in our room has some minor damage to it. Overall, as a gold member who stays with Hilton once a month, this property is not up to Hilton brand standards, let alone what I might expect of an Embassy Suites.

We have stayed in 6 Hiltons across the country in the last 2 weeks and this hotel should be called the Motel 6 not a Hilton. The only decent thing I can say about it is the breakfast. The lobby might be nice but the rooms are extremely run down, old and need a drastic upgrade. The ac was set at 60 for 5 days while we were there and the only area that cooled was the bedroom area the living room area and bathroom were sweat boxes. The beds were extremely old and so worn that it valleys to the middle and 2 people can’t sleep together. I don’t know how this place has the reviews that it does unless we just happen to get the worst room in the hotel. Be extremely careful of the elevators as the sensors clearly don’t work and closed on my family multiple times while getting on/off of them. There are 2 other Hiltons in the Springs that are much nicer and I would recommend them over this one.
