The hotel is in a very safe neighborhood and I felt totally fine walking around or being outside, even at odd hours of the night. The rooms are a little dated, but everything is in total working order and is clean and orderly. I stayed here during the COVD19 pandemic and the staff did everything they could to ensure that everything was clean and sanitized; I never felt that I would get sick from here. What makes this place such an amazing place to stay is the staff! From check in to check out, they were all extremely friendly and helpful. I forgot to buy a cheese grater and I called to see if they had one I could borrow and instead I got a phone call about 30 minutes later saying they went and bought one for me to use! How awesome is that? Special shoutout to Nick, Dylan, Warren, and Chris for making my stay and visit to CO Springs such a great one. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This property was amazing and very well kept before their renovation, now that it is complete I cannot say enough good things about it! The staff, the grounds, and location are perfect! There is a lot of new restaurants going up in the area that are walkable along with some nice bars and movie theaters. The newly renovated rooms offer a modern/homey feel and really make you feel like you have your own apartment with outstanding mountain views. PERFECTION!

. This place was very clean and they were fast on any requests that I had. Loved the options for breakfast and the entire staff was very friendly, one of the housekeepers I always saw in the hallway, Sonje was always able to help assist in any way that I needed to make my stay more pleasurable.

This can’t be owned by Marriott, right? The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain, the light by the bed would not turn on, and the tub wouldn’t drain. We got notice that half of the parking lot would be blocked off for resurfacing, but no information on where to park when not a single parking space was available on the property. We parked down the street at a business that was closed. Then we got a notice that said the fire alarms and smoke detectors would be checked during our stay, so we would hear alarms and see strobe lights going off, and someone would be entering every room in the hotel to check things. We had come to see someone in the hospital, and they got better. It was time to go home anyway. We decided to check out a day early, the next morning. I called the front desk, no answer. I tried chat on the Bonvoy app, but no one responded for half an hour. Then they replied that they had lengthened our stay by a day, and we would have to come pick up a new key. So I went to the front desk to explain that we did not want to stay a day *longer*, but we would be leaving a day *earlier*. The lady told me that because I had not given them 24 hours notice, I would have to pay for tomorrow night. She said they need more notice, because “we need the money”. I jokingly asked if they needed the money so they could pay for the parking lot. She said we were not being charged the $5 per day parking fee, because of the work being done on the parking lot. Parking fee? $5 per day normally? It’s pavement surrounded by nothing. There are plenty of hotel choices in Colorado Springs—even a couple of other Residence Inns. Hopefully they better represent Marriott.

Marriott needs to look at having this hotel associated with their brand. The 1st thing is they tell you at check in they are charging you $5 to park. Mind you they are not near an airport, or any sort of entertainment facility. You are presented with a card to sign that you are being charged the $5, I did so under protest and wrote that on the card.
2nd. The room states full size appliances and the room does not have an oven. I wanted to cook something in the oven, but was not able to do that, therefore costing me more money in having to go to a restaurant.
3rd when you pull out the sofa bed you have to move the dining table all the way in front of the sink in order to unfold it. It then blocks a clear entry/exit from the bedroom.
4th, the toilet seat is not securely attached, and this was in a handicapped room that I didn't ask for. If you had someone who was handicapped they would be in danger sitting on the seat.
Trash left in trash cans not acceptable.
The front staff were extremally rude when I asked about the parking policy. They said it was a Marriott policy, which I know for a fact is not true. I stay mostly in Marriott properties and have never been charged a fee for parking, unless it is at an airport and then it is spelled out for you.
I was very disappointed, and it has soured my thinking on staying in Marriott properties.

We were in Colorado Springs for a milestone family event and knew we needed a second bedroom and we were not interested in renting a house so the Residence Inn North/Air Force Academy was our best bet. We slept well and enjoyed the big space, but the second bedroom bathroom was dated and showed it’s age, the windows seemed to be an afterthought and the room could use new floors and carpeting. It was topical clean but we made sure to wipe everything down. We love the benefit of the fridge, a living room to relax in and the extra space so we understand it is a trade off. COVID of course did not help as the breakfast was very limited (please reinstate breakfast potatoes) and room cleaning service was not offered daily, but we were able to get fresh towels and supplies whenever needed. The room served the purpose for the stay and for that we end up right in the middle at three stars. Also, what happened to supplying a daily newspaper. We know they did at this location two years back but they let us know they have since discontinued it; a small touch like this would go a long way.

The hotel being clean is the only reason I give this hotel anything above 1 star.

First off, the lady at the front desk left us waiting for longer than we needed to as she was chatting with a customer that she apparently knew personally. This left us holding our heavy luggage for much longer than necessary. She also didn’t give us our Ambassador status gift bag OR hotel points, which makes this the only Marriott hotel out of the three we’ve stayed at this past 2 weeks that hasn’t. She wasn’t TOO rude though, so my husband and I brushed it off as maybe a one-off issue.

Next, we encountered the night staff clerk while getting a late night snack. This guy is RUDE; he speaks in mostly grunts, and when he does reply with words, it’s something extremely uninterested-sounding & rude, like he’d rather be dead than talk to you. We tried paying for our snacks with a Marriott gift card we received in an email by our Marriott Ambassador, but he claimed there was “no way to do it” and completely gave up on helping in any way, despite the fact that we had already used part of the gift card at our previous hotel (AC Frisco) so it’s obviously possible.

All in all, I don’t recommend this hotel. Go to the nearby Springhill Suites instead, they were much more friendly when we stayed there last week.

N6653OOhk, we appreciate your feedback and are disheartened by your experience. We acknowledge there were instances where you felt your expectations weren't met. In particular, we understand that the check-in process did not go as smoothly as anticipated and you found some of our team members less than amiable. Your mention of the missed Ambassador status gift bag and hotel points is distressing to hear, as this is not reflective of our usual attention to detail. Please feel assured this will be addressed to better meet our customer's expectations. As for your interaction with our night shift colleague, your account of his demeanor is very concerning. We hold our team to high standards of professionalism and will share your interactions with appropriate departments for careful evaluation. Finally, we immensely value and rely on every guest's feedback. Therefore, your suggestion for improvement is greatly appreciated as we strive to enhance the level of hospitality we deliver. Our one aim is to provide a satisfying and outstanding hotel experience for all guests. We hope you will provide us with another chance to serve you better in the future.

The most disgusting hotel experience I’ve had at a hotel with Marriott’s name on it. The staff was nice, and I understand that the world is in the middle of a pandemic, but my room was simply not cleaned when we checked in. I felt gross just sleeping there but what choice did I really have. It was obvious that the shower wasn’t cleaned, much less “sanitized” as they describe. Clumps of someone else’s hair, a very different color from my own, were stuck to the shower walls and hanging from the knobs, support bar, and bench. I complained to the front desk no fewer than FIVE times in my 4 day 3 night stay. Each time I was assured that they would send someone or “leave a note” for when the maintenance staff were on site. I told them when I would be out of the room so they could feel comfortable with being socially distanced (the hotel does not currently clean daily due to Covid). Not once did someone clean it up or even follow up to see if I was satisfied. No one cared at all.

Also during my stay, someone started a fire in one of the rooms, a dog that belonged to another guest pooped in a family members room (it literally ran in there as they were entering their room, pooped on the floor, peed on a chair, and ran out).

The entire visit was a disaster, this hotel has much larger problems than being outdated.

I would give this hotel 0 stars if possible. We usually always stay at Marriott as they are a trusted hotel for us.

When we first got into our room we had noticed various health hazards on the walls. The bathroom had what looks to be blood smeared on the wall, and also what looks to have been boogers on the wall. I have attached photos of the findings.

When we notified the front desk they moved us to another room. Getting into our other room there was a giant bug crawling in the bed. We proceeded to call the front desk, an employee came in and said we get these bugs all the time and then proceed to squish the bug and leave it’s body on the floor.

Regardless of what kind of bug it is, I am not a fan of sleeping with them.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback with us. It's important to address your concerns, and we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We believe there might have been a misinterpretation, as the presence of bugs is not a common occurrence in our hotel. However, we understand that during certain times of the year, such as approaching freezing temperatures, insects may try to enter the building. Rest assured, we have taken this matter seriously. We've already spoken with the employees involved to ensure they handle such situations appropriately in the future. Additionally, our housekeeping team has been reminded to thoroughly inspect rooms for any defects before making them ready for guest arrival. Your feedback helps us improve. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we are committed to ensuring a pleasant experience for our guests. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Residence Inns usually impress me with the overall quality and facilities. This one not so much. It is perfectly adequate though. Issues: slow WiFi (simple pages will not load, timed out). They charge for parking in a suburban location. Coffee in the room was awful.
