Hotel's Favorite
St Julien is the Top hotel in Boulder and denver area. Tremendous service and attention to detail. Great location and hotel has it all, from rooms, location, views, spa, pool, fitness, dining and bars. We have gone consistently over the last 10 years and the hotel just keeps getting better.

We stayed at the St. Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, Colorado for three nights and had an excellent experience. Our room was large and comfortable with a King bed, an easy chair and a desk - everything that two people need for a hotel stay. The bathroom had a tub, a separate shower and a toilet room with a door. We had a beautiful view of the Flatirons mountains. The public areas of the hotel were bright and spacious. The lobby area had ample seating and a functional fireplace. We used the valet parking which was $28 per night and came within minutes of calling. Most of all, the hotel staff could not have been more friendly and helpful from the check-in staff to the concierge, spa personnel, and lobby bar waitresses. The location of the St. Julien is convenient to Boulder's Pearl Street with many shops and places to eat. We highly recommend this hotel.

Upon check in, we were greeted by the friendly front desk staff. Our room was not quite ready yet, but Brooklyn offered to hold our bags. Everything was seamless and when our room needed towels or other toiletries, Jack and Bethany ensured a quick delivery.
The hotel is beautiful and a perfect oasis in Boulder. The hot tub and pool provide comfort and relaxation. I cannot wait to visit again!

Besides a few minor issues the real one came when we went downstairs to have breakfast. We were turned away because they were filled with reservations. For breakfast? Ok. Wish someone told me we needed to do that on a busy weekend. Then I was told half those reservations were for people not even staying at the hotel. Really? Prioritize those not paying a premium? It also took over an hour and two calls to get room service. As an apology I was given two free drink cards. When I went to use them the bartender told me they had a $10 value. Their drink menu has some great choices but none at $10. So I paid. But what was the point of the drink cards? If a hotel is going to charge a premium over all others they need to provide a premium stay. Though the location was great the hotel gets overloaded with people that don’t stay there so you can’t sit in the lobby during happy hour because it’s full of outsiders. You can’t eat at the only restaurant because of those not staying there. And then room service is so busy I guess they lose your order of coffee and tea and it takes over an hour. All in all after about 12 stays here I think it’s time I go elsewhere I am valued as a consumer willing to spend a premium price.

Like many other said, the hotel is nice but maybe a 4-star, certainly not 5. Service was great and everyone was very nice and helpful. But the hotel itself is outdated. Down pillows in the room are worn out and offer no support. Mattress is kind of lumpy and hard. Bathroom vanity offers two q tips and two cotton balls. Really, for a 5-star hotel? Furniture in the lobby is nice, but some chair legs' are dented and look worn out. You better bring your own rubber slides if you want to use sauna, steam room or pool. Slipper provided in the room got soaking wet in no time. The massage in the SPA was very nice, but the spa itself needs major overhaul. Wood in the sauna is dark, stained and smelly. Steam room needs cleaning. I had to ask to add essential oil to the steam sauna, this is usually a part of steam room experience in other spas. There was suspicious foam in the hot tub. Maybe it was harmless, but it raises questions about water cleanliness. The pool is nice, but getting in and out is tricky because the steps are not metal but built into a pool wall. It is hard to see and I bumped the top of my foot on couple of occasion. Overall, the location and a view from the room is the best this hotel have to offer. But for $500 a night? I will be staying in Airbnb next time.

I loved the St. Julien, higher end hotel with great service. Wonderful hot cocoa bar with real whipped cream the Friday afternoon I arrived, personalized welcome on the flat screen in room and comfortable beds with turn down service. Tawny at check in was very welcoming. Lovely lobby with live music some nights and ample seating. Jill’s is a great restaurant, outstanding service from Lexi. While the spa is pricey, the facials were excellent, and very relaxing. Would definitely return.

This hotel is so overrated. Other than the location there is little about this hotel that is “four star”. Upon check-in we immediately noticed a couple in the room next to us arguing at the top of their lungs. Honestly I have never heard anyone screaming so loudly with constant f-bombs. I was literally thinking a gunshot was going to happen at any moment. We complained 3 times to the front desk who claimed they sent security up but we never saw them. We requested to move rooms and eventually were moved to a much less nice room than we previously had (with no price adjustment). All of this took hours and essentially ruined our first night. The rest of our stay wasn’t much better. The hot tub was not hot and a worker told us some “extra chemicals got spilled in there” the night before! Service at the restaurant Jill’s was horribly slow for breakfast. Needless to say we won’t be staying at this overrated hotel again.

Luxury accomodations for a mountain town right in the heart of the historical part of Boulder. Great gym, spa, restaurant and a very nice lobby with large outside area perfect for remote work or socializing w straight on views of the Flat Irons and walkable to those trains. Rooms are also perfect with extremely comfy beds and large spacious high end bathrooms w a nice tub. We've stayed here multiple times, have enjoyed also the on site restaurant and bar - perfect btw for breakfast, lunch or dinner - our only dislike is fact that they only offer complimentary coffee on weekends. On weekdays you have to pay for coffee and it only starts at 7am which is late for a weekday. This is something a hotel like this should change as it's something guests are annoyed by especially at the rates hotel charges to stay....and prompted us to go to a nearby coffee shop each morning instead. No need to overpay for decent but not great hotel coffee on a weekday that on a weekend was convenient and free - better to go around corner to coffee shop that opens at 6am, where the coffee is better and is half price.

I've stayed here many times prior to COVID so this was the first since 2020. They've done away with the tasty little chocolate covered oreos each night. The housekeeping staff doesn't always re-stock the room fully each morning. We were always missing something from the coffee bar. I love that they have Nespresso in the room but wish they'd restock it better. The hotel is very expensive - we paid over $550 per night and the shower light was buzzing the whole time. The TV didn't work the first night so we missed the Dodger's game. I complained upon checking out and they did give me a discount, but still. For $550 a night the housekeeping staff should get it right each day! Their rooms are really small and cramped given the huge four poster bed in the room. Think they should get rid of some of the furniture so you can move around the room better. Location is good right on Pearl Street so easy to walk to bars, restaurants and shops. We valet parked each day so that cost extra. Loved the indoor heated lap pool though. It is the reason I stay here.

Jill's is next door a lovely American French fair $$$ restaurant. Wonderful special Sunday brunches!
Hi Adam. Unfortunately the St. Julien in Boulder does not allow pets. However I've heard that there are several Boulder hotels which are pet friendly.
It is 5-6 minutes by car but you could easily walk if you did not have too much luggage as it is about 4 blocks away.
Yes Greenway shuttle. Very friendly
