Detailed Reviews
We had a 1 bedroom unit with 2 full bathrooms. The unit was very well equiped as kitchen had everything you needed and bathrooms had supplies. The unit was on the smaller side but was adequate for what we needed. If we had a third person they would have had their own bathroom. However, one had to pass thru the living area to the kitchen which would have been an issue if the third person was a late sleeper. Not a big issue but one worth mentioning. This resort is very convenient to visiting San Diego and the local race track. There is a restaurant on site (we did not use) and one next door along with some not far from the property. There are grocery stores nearby. The pool area was very nice with recently updated grills and amenities. The resort was very clean and well maintained. Our room was quiet. I have been a member of RCI for over 40 years. This resort unit was not the largest but was adequate for our needs. Tere was plenty of parking on site. Also, tennis next door in a nice building. The lobby was inviting and they offered free coffee. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Would recommend this resort if in the area.

Great location near the beach and racetrack / fairgrounds. Since it is literally just outside the city limits of Del Mar you can have a cigarette without getting a ticket. The rooms are newly remodeled and very comfortable and clean. Their shower heads actually put out some water, not the usual pathetic dribble. The combination Keurig / regular coffeemaker is a great feature.

The recently remodeled Winner's Circle Resort, directly across the street from the Del Mar Fairgrounds and Racetrack, was a pleasant surprise after a long trip. The staff are super friendly (most) and helpful, the spa tub and pool are very relaxing, and the location makes easy access to all. The only downside is that they still permit smoking onsite, so if you have an upstairs unit with downstairs smokers using their patio, you won't be able to open your windows or use your balcony. Choose a downstairs unit anyway, as they have bigger outdoor seating areas and the heavy carpeting prevents downward noise from upper units. Solana Beach is a cute town, but the beach access is awful at high tide, so plan to head elsewhere...which is fairly easy by car. And, California prices have gone crazy. Bring your own food and check out off the beaten path eateries to survive the week.

Resort clean and staff are polite and helpful. Free morning coffee in the lounge. The pool area was good and offers bbq and a couple of fire pits to enjoy in the evening. The resort also offers laundry facilities at no extra charge to guests. The room was well equipped. Location next to free road and small shopping area are strong points for making reservations. Our room faced the parking lot, it was a bit noisy.

Our first time here to escape AZ heat. Location is great. Condo is good, comfortable enough for 2. I wouldn't put more people in, except maybe kids. Kitchen is small but workable. Pool and Jacuzzi are great but crowded and many times adults weren't supervising kids. Initial housekeeping was great - the unit was very clean but subsequent visits were unacceptable even with large tips on the table, One older man in housekeeping was terrific. We stayed multiple weeks and would return.

Our family jokingly refer to this week of our trip as living in "the cave". I cant fault the location but we were somewhat dismayed that we got assigned to the darkest, dingiest and musty smelling, fly swarming abode!
Most disappointing was that we actually asked for their recommended room when we checked in and furthemore when we asked to swap rooms, we were not met with much helpfulness considering the resort was by no means full (by Covid occupancy standards).
The pool and evening ambience is lovely which is where we spent our time when not on the beach ... to avoid the cave!

The unit was adequate for just two people. The kitchen was small but still complete for cooking meals. The balcony was small, it was just big enough to sit down at but nothing more, unlike the studio rooms with patios on the ground floor. Those patios were very nice. The biggest down side was the absence of any signs or indications that these are all non-smoking rooms. The first room we were offered was downstairs with the nice patio. Unfortunately it smelled of smoke, we even saw a cigarette butt on the floor next to the bed. I think the management was aware of this because the sliding door was opened when we arrived, probably to air out the room. The front desk did say all rooms are non-smoking but smoking is allowed only on the patio/balcony but again with no signs telling you that and no non-smoking symbol on the door I can easily why someone would smoke in the room not knowing the rules, especially if there is no extra cleaning fee if you do smoke in the room. If you are sensitive to smoking odor you may want to consider this. BTW we did get another room which was smoke free but unfortunately it was upstairs with the small balcony.

The resort was clean and took the appropriate precautions for COVID 19. Trevor at the front desk was professional and went out of his way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. All the staff was courteous and helpful. Loved the patio area with access from both the living room and bedroom. The location was great for walking to the beach, doing long walks/runs and just relaxing and enjoying the great southern Cal weather.

It is a very convenient location for visiting the coastal beach towns and urban areas, such as Balboa Park, Little Italy Gaslamp etc. The staff friendly and professional. The only complaint was the instructions we received from RCI gave check in time at 3 P M however when we arrived we were told check in wasn't until four. It is a little hard to reach the front desk by phone as directed by recordings.

We had been staying quite busy in Hot Southern Arizona and wanted to get away to the much cooler beaches of Southern California, so we book this place in Solana Beach, CA. The temperatures were very pleasant and the ocean walks were amazing and only short distance away. We were able to drive up to Dana Point and catch a boat to enjoy the dolphins. When the construction and upgrades are competed, this resort is a great place because of its location near the Del Mar track and easy access to I-5. There is also 1 pickleball court for those who have picked up this new game/sport along with 4 tennis courts.

You will have to ask the resort directly; no one else can possibly answer this accurately.
I would call to see if they allow it
It's not a typical resort - there is a pool/jacuzzi, tennis courts and a rec room with books and a pool table, but I would expect more from an actual resort. No golf course. There are two restaurants onsite - but no shops. We like staying here more for the convenience of having a kitchen. It would make a good home base for sightseeing, but not necessarily the place to hang out at all day and night.
No. Pets are not allowed.
