Personable staff attentive to needs and willingness to accomodate guests to make them comfortable. I really like finding an independent hotel/motel property that I can give my business to instead of a major chain operation, and I am pleased that I discovered Valley Inn. Prioprietors had gone out of their way to make my stay a pleasant one. I wish I could have stayed longer. I will stay again, if opportunity arises. Bruce

Dennis greeted us with a great smile and was very polite He went out of his way to get us a room downstairs. It was great having someone who care about his guest after along day of traveling. We had trouble with the TV and immediately the owner was there to fix the problem. Our room was nice and big,king bed size was comfortable .

We stayed here on our trip to the Bay Area and it was good. Service was nice, room was clean, and there was plenty of restaurants in the area. Area is quite safe and there is plenty of free parking. This place gets booked up fast so I suggest calling in advance to reserve a room.

Right on the border of San Jose and Santa Clara, near freeway & airport. Restaurants nearby. Even though it is on The Alameda, a busy main street, it was quiet enough. It is clean and some of the rooms have been remodeled.

The Valley Inn is a family-owned venture and therefore a bit funky. The road noise is medium loud through evening rush hour and then drops off quickly. The rooms are very comfortable - the mattress, linens, everything - are nice - especially at the very reasonable room cost. Continue past the Inn down The Alameda and you'll find wonderful small restaurants, coffee shops and galleries. Want to find some spectacular restored examples of 1920 bungalows? Turn right at Peets Coffee (Hanchett) or Five Guys (Martin) and step into another world. Want to stop and smell the roses? San Jose Municipal Rose Garden is the cornerstone of the neighborhood and was deemed “America’s Best Rose Garden.” The 5½ acre garden features more than 3,500 rose shrubs with nearly 200 varieties represented year-long. This is my new undiscovered treasure for a place to stay that's clean,+ convenient to downtown freeways and other locales. The staff were great and helpful and the room was amazingly affordable and really nice.. even had mini fridge and microwave. will definitely recommend and stay again!

It's a good affordable hotel. It was super quiet. The room was clean, spacious, updated & comfortable. The hotel was really close to Santa Clara University and San Jose Internatioanl airport. Bunch of restants are in walking distance. Staff is really kind and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

I booked this hotel through Booking.com and was given a smoking room that was booked by accident (I have severe asthma) and the owner would not refund my reservation (he couldn’t switch me to a different room bc they were sold out.) Aside from this poor customer service experience, the place looks like a roach motel. I can’t believe that this place has 3.5 stars. There are Motel 6’s that offer better accommodations than this. Never again would I stay here nor do I recommend it.

A bit noisy during early morning traffic hours. Public pathways could stand a good cleaning (there were gum marks and dirt on stairs and paths). Items such as drapes showed some signs of wear. However, room cleanliness and housekeeping were excellent.
